Polyethylene glycol (PEG) is a water soluble, biocompatible, non-toxic polymer and PEGylation is a well established technique for the modification of therapeutic proteins and peptides. PEG-protein drugs have been extensively studies in relation to therapies for various diseases: cancer, inflammation and others. The covalent attachment of PEG to proteins and peptides prolonged plasma half-life, reduced antigenicity and immunogenicity, increased thermal and mechanical stability, and prevented degradation by enzymes. Several chemical groups for general and site specific conjugation have been exploited to activate PEG for amino group, carboxyl group, and cysteine groups. PEGylation of many proteins and peptides have been studied to enhance their properties for the potential uses. Also, the different positional isomers in several PEG-proteins have shown the difference in vivo stability and biological indicating that the site of PEG molecule attachment is one of the important factor to develop PEG-proteins as potential therapeutic agents.

Local governments in Korea are involved in three types of online shopping sites : 'direct operation', 'outsourced operation', and 'sales agency.' They are different in terms of the site operator and the charging mechanism among a local government, the site operator, and local producers. This study analyzes their differences in site traffic, local producers' participation, promotion, and partnership. The results from the investigation of 72 shopping sites are the following. First, shopping sites of the 'direct operation' type and the 'outsourced operation' type show significantly higher participation of local producers. Second, the 'marketing agency' type has significantly higher number of promotional activities than the 'oursourced type' which has significantly higher number than the 'direct operation' type. Third, the number of partnerships in the 'marketing agency' type is the highest. The 'direct operation' type is the second and significantly higher than the 'outsourced type.' On the basis of the analysis results, this paper suggests an incubation ecosystem model as a better way of involvement by local governments in online shopping sites.

Preliminary surface soil Derived Concentration Guideline Levels (DCGLs) were derived conforming to the Multi-Agency Radiation Site Survey and Investigation Manual (MARSSIM) procedure for the site release and reuse of Kori Unit 1 in Korea. Based on the decommissioning experiences of the U.S. nuclear power plants, a suite of residual radionuclides was determined, and uncertainties contributed to the resultant dose by the input parameters were quantified via the sensitivity analysis of parameters. The peak of the mean dose was obtained via the probabilistic analysis of the RESRAD (RESidual RADioactivity)-ONSITE code. Consequently, $DCGL_w$ of Kori Unit 1 in accordance with two scenarios, industrial worker and residential farmer scenario, were derived and the results were compared respectively with other NPPs. It could be used as a basic guideline for establishing regulatory standards for reuse planning, designing the site characterization surveys and implementing final status survey (FSS).

Construction of the extension project of the Bangkok MRT Blue Line underground railway was recently started in 2011. The construction of approximately 5 km long underground tunnel and 4 deep excavations of underground station are considered to be the most important geotechnical works. The pressuremeter was selected as a high-quality in situ testing of the soil to evaluate design parameters for the project. In addition, other field and laboratory tests such as vane shear and $CK_0U$ triaxial tests were included in the investigation programme. This paper aims to present the ground conditions encountered along the MRT Blue Line extension project as well as the site investigation and interpretation techniques with particular focus on the pressuremeter tests. The results are also compared with the pressuremeter investigation from the previous Bangkok MRT project.

Recently, the use of information and communication technology (ICT) has advanced activities in the field of policing, such as police training, crime investigation, and on-site response equipment enhancement. In this paper, we examine how to use immersion technology in the field of policing. Currently, AR/VR technology is mainly used for police education, training, and criminal investigation, and other cases of its use are rare. To use AR/VR technology in a wider range of applications, it is necessary to look at how it can be used in major police activities (e.g., patrol, investigation, and arrest activities).
