(Sr.Pb)TiO$_3$계 세라믹의 유전특성에 미치는 Bi$_2$O$_3$.3TiO$_2$의 영향 (Effects of Bi$_2$O$_3$.3TiO$_2$ on the Dielectric Properties of Ceramics in the system (Sr.Pb)TiO$_3$)

  • (1-X)(Sr$\_$7/9/Pb$\_$2/9/)$\_$(1-y)/(Ca$\_$1/5/Mg$\_$4/5/)$\_$y/TiO$_3$+X(BiO$_2$O$_3$$.$3TiO$_2$) (y=0.145, 0$\leq$X$\leq$0.08) ceramics were fabricated by the mixed oxide method. The sintering temperature and time were 1180∼1230[$^{\circ}C$], 2[hr], respectly. The grain size were grown with increasing the contents of Bi$_2$O$_3$$.$3TiO$_2$, but decreased more and less in the specimens which had more than 0.04[mol].

  • Nano-structured ceramics, which consist of structural elements with nanometer-size crystallites, are expected to show various unusual properties. We developed the novel nano-structured ceramics which consists of $Si_3N_4$ and TiN and a self-lubricant material. The ceramics was fabricated by powder metallurgy process using mechano-chemical grinding process and short-time sintering process. Each grain size of matrix and the self-lubricant particle was under about 50 nm and a few namometer. It showed high wear resistance and low friction coefficient by controlling of microstructure.

  • Gas filtration at high temperature from industrial processes offers various advantages such as increasing process efficiency, improving heat recovery and materials resource recovery, etc. At the same time, it is an advanced environment protection technology. This paper describes a newly developed metallic filter element. The manufacturing process of sintered $Fe_3Al$ metallic powder and the mechanical and filtration characteristics of this filter element were investigated. In this work, the phase constituent changes of the $Fe_3Al$ powder during sintering were studied. The newly developed filter elements were found to have excellent corrosion resistance, good thermal resistance, high strength and high filtration efficiency.

Variations of the Thermoelectric Characteristics of ZnO Nanofibers from the Use of a Thermal Treatment

  • In this study, thermal-treatment-derived variations of the thermoelectric characteristics of ZnO nanofibers (NFs) are examined. NFs that were prepared by electrospinning were transformed into n-type ZnO NFs after they were exposed to thermal heating for 30 min at 550℃. For the ZnO NFs, the Seebeck coefficient decreased from - 132.1 μV/K to - 44.6 μV/K over the heating-time range of 30 min to 120 min, while the electrical conductivity increased from 2.07 × 10-3 S/m to 0.18 S/m.

  • Among various methods to manufacture the PDP barrier ribs, the pressing and the roll forming methods are simple and economical because they form the ribs by utilizing the plastic flow of the green tape in a relatively short time without generating air-polluting dusts. In the present study, the roll forming method was investigated by experiments as well as numerical analyses and in result the groove roll and the preform were designed. The effect of draft angle, corner radius, and initial thickness of the green tape on the plastic flow was examined by a series of parametric studies. The preform was recommended to ease the plastic flow into the grooves and to avoid the occurrence of cracks during rolling and sintering processes.

  • We investgated I-V cahracteristics and relationship between microstructures and electrical properties in the specimens fabricated by seed grain method for low voltage Zn O varistor. Breaksown voltage was mainly dependent on seed grain size, and could be cntrolled to 10V/mm -15V/mm by sintering temperature and time. In non-seed grain method breakdown voltage generally agreed with final grain size, but did not always agree with it by the change of barrier phase distribution in case of the method using seed grains.

자기펄스 압축성형법에 의한 다이아몬드 공구용 세그먼트 분말 성형 (Consolidation of Segment Powder for Diamond Tool by Magnetic Pulsed Compaction)

  • This article presents the successful consolidation of the mixed Co and Diamond powders for a drilling segment by the combined application of magnetic pulsed compaction (MPC) and subsequent sintering, and their properties were analyzed. Homogeneous hardness (Hv 220) and density (97%) of sintered bulks fabricated by MPC were obtained by the new technique, where higher pressure has been employed for short period of time than that of general process. A fine microstructure and homogeneous hardness in the consolidated bulk were observed without cracks. Relatively higher drilling speed of 9.61 cm/min and life time of 6.55 m were found to the MPCed specimens, whereas the value of the specimens fabricated by general process was 11.71 cm/min and 7.96 m, respectively. A substantial improvement of mechanical properties of segment was achieved through this study.

WC-Co계 분말사출성형에서 초임계$CO_2$에 의한 결합제 제거 (Binder Removal by Supercritical $CO_2$ in Powder Injection Molded WC-Co)

  • The conventional debinding process in metal injection molding is very long time-consuming and unfriendly environmental method. Especially, in such a case of injection molded parts from hard and fine metal powder, such as WC-Co, an extremely long period of time is necessary in the conventional slow binder removal process. On the other hand, supercritical debinding is thought to be the effective method which is appropriate to eliminate the aforementioned inconvenience in the prior art. The supercritical fluid has high diffusivity and density, it can penetrate quickly into the inside of the green metal bodies, and extract the binder. In this paper, super-critical debinding is compared with wicking debinding process. Wax-based binder system is used in this study. The binder removal rate in supercritical $CO_2$ have been measured at $65^{\circ}C$, 75$^{\circ}C$ in the pressure range from 20 MPa to 28 MPa. Pores and cracks in silver bodies after sintering were observed using SEM When the super-critical $CO_2$ debinding was carried out at 75$^{\circ}C$, almost all the wax (about 70 wt% of binder) was removed in 2 hours under 28 MPa and 2.5 hours under 25 MPa.

  • 치과 재료분야는 그 동안 많은 발전을 해왔음에도 불구하고 자연치아의 색조 재현 및, 인접 치와의 조화에 따른 심미성과 지대치와의 적합성 등에 많은 문제가 야기되어왔다. 기존 all ceramic 은 단관 제작 시 심미적인 요구가 다소 해결되었으나 bridge work 에 있어서는 그 강도 및, 작업의 효율성은 여전히 문제시되어 오고 있다. 최근 기존 Inceram의 단점을 보안한 Celay Inceram system은 spinell, alumina, zirconia Blanks를 이용하여 더욱더 기능적인 자연스러움으로 접근되어진다. 이에 그 system의 alumina blank를 이용한 bridge work 의 임상 증례를 살펴보기로 한다.

  • Single-phase $YBa_2Cu_3O_{j-g}$ (YBC) ceramic samples were annealed at $700^{\circ}C$ under a flowing $O_2$ atmosphere for 0, 18, 36, 54 and 72. hours after sintering. The resistivities(p) and the critical current densities($J_c$) of the samples were measured in a temperature range 77 to 300 K by a four probe method, using silver paint contacts. The variations of the electrical properties with annealing time are explained in terms of flux pinning, percolation probability and randomness, and alignment of grains and twins.The anomalous increases in $J_c$ and $T_c$ observed in sample annealed for a relatively long time possibly due to alignment of grains and twins, may imply the occurrence of superconducting glass state in high-$T_c$ superconducting ceramic.
