3/4-rate SFBC SSB SC FDMA System with 4 Transmit Antennas (4개의 송신 안테나를 갖는 3/4 비율의 주파수 공간 블록 부호 단일 측대 파형 SC FDMA 시스템)

  • In order to increase frequency transmission efficiency, single side band(SSB) transmission systems with the complex conjugate symmetry characteristics on a frequency domain have been studied. In addition, orthogonal block codes(space-time or space-frequency block code(SFBC)) for the diversity performance gain of transmission systems have been widely researched. In this paper, we implement a 3/4-rate SFBC SSB single-carrier(SC) frequency division multiple access(FDMA) system with 4 transmit antennas. It can be shown from the simulation results that the proposed SFBC SSB SC FDMA system using the 3/4-rate 4×4 orthogonal block code outperforms the conventional SSB SC FDMA system and the 2×2 SFBC SSB SC FDMA system with 2 transmit antennas.

  • This paper presents Active-clamp Class-E high frequency resonant inverter with single-stage. The proposed circuit is integrated Active-c class-E circuit to boost converter with the funct power factor correction. Boost converter is opera positive and negative half cycle respectively at frequency(60Hz), operating in Discontinuous Con Mode(DCM) of boost converter performs high p factor. By adding active-clamp circuit in Cl inverter, main switch of inverter part is operat only ZVS(Zero Voltage Switch), but also reduce switching voltage stress of main switch. Simulation result using Psim4.1 show that the p prove the validity of theoretical analysis. This proposed inverter will be able to be pract used as a power supply in various fields are ind heating applications, DC-DC converter etc.

10-Gbit/s Wireless Communication System at 300 GHz

  • A 10-Gbit/s wireless communication system operating at a carrier frequency of 300 GHz is presented. The modulation scheme is amplitude shift keying in incoherent mode with a high intermediate frequency (IF) of 30 GHz and a bandwidth of 20 GHz for transmitting a 10-Gbit/s baseband (BB) data signal. A single sideband transmission is implemented using a waveguide-tapered 270-GHz high-pass filter with a lower sideband rejection of around 60 dB. This paper presents an all-electronic design of a terahertz communication system, including the major modules of the BB and IF band as well as the RF modules. The wireless link shows that, aided by a clock and data recovery circuit, it can receive $2^7$-1 pseudorandom binary sequence data without error at up to 10 Gbit/s for over 1.2 m using collimating lenses, where the transmitted power is 10 ${\mu}W$.

  • In recent years, there is a strong urge to introduce GPS systems which can role in reference points and measure global positions to the field of structural measurements. In this study, a new structural measurement system using low-cost L1 single frequency GPS receivers instead of conventional expensive RTK L1&L2 dual frequency GPS receiver. This system consists of GPS OEM board, GPS antenna, wireless access points, and monitoring program based on Lambda method and makes it possible to apply to monitor a static behavior of large scaled Infra-structures, such as dams, tall buildings, road slops.

  • This paper is research result for a development of solar cell silicon ingot glowing(SCSIG) PWM converter system for 120[kW] 3[kA]. The system include 3-phase AC-DC rectifier diode converter of input voltage AC 460[V] and 60[Hz], DC-AC single phase full bridge PWM inverter of high frequency, AC-DC single-phase full wave rectifier using center-tapped of transformer for low voltage 50[V] and large current 3,000[A], carbon resistor load 0.2 [$m{\Omega}$]. PWM switching frequency for IGBT inverter control set 15KHz. The suggested researching contents are designed data sheets of power converter system, PSIM simulation, operating characteristics and analysis results of developed SCSIG system.

  • This paper deals with a new single-phase Z-source matrix converter (SZMC) topology. Unlike other conventional configurations, the proposed SZMC is not only a step-up frequency converter but also a step-down frequency converter and a voltage boost capability. Thus, the proposed SZMC is also called a frequency step-up/down and voltage step-up converter. A safe-commutation strategy is used in SZMC as free-wheeling operation to eliminate voltage spikes on switches. The operating principles and experimental results of the proposed SZMC are presented.

  • A new low cost single stage high power factor electronic ballast for fluorescent lamps is presented in this paper. The proposed topology is based on integration of two-boost converter and LC type high frequency resonant converter. A ballast is obtained by simple construction, because full bridge rectifier diode is eliminated and simple control circuits is applied. Using two boost converter operating positive and negative half cycle respectively at line frequency (60Hz), operating in discontinuous conduction mode performs high power factor. The simulated and experimental results for 64W fluorescent lamps operating at 45kHz switching frequency and 110V line voltage have been obtained.

  • We have studied sngle-frequency yield of 1.55${\mu}$m DFB lasers with uniform sinusoidal grating using an effective index transfer matrix method considering both threshold gain difference and spatial hole-burning effect. Optimum grating height and mirror reflectivities that maximize the single-frequency yield are found for a low-reflection (LR)/high-reflection(HR) mirror structure and a LR/as-cleaved miror structure for an assumed basic waveguide structure. LR/HR structure has a high yield of about 80% in a narrow range of grating height while LR/as-cleaved mirror structure has a low yield of about 50% in a relatively wide range of grating height. The effect of the low-reflection facet reflectivity is also studied.

  • This paper proposes an alternate time-switched space-frequency block coding transmission technique for single-carrier modulation with frequency domain equalization. There are two antennas in the transmitter but it still has only a baseband and RF and a switch that alternates between the antennas at every symbol timing. Alternating transmit symbols result in zeros which make maximal ratio receive combining possible in the receiver. Simulation results show that it has better performance than the traditional algorithm at the expense of one additional antenna.

  • SFN (Single Frequency Network) and OCR (On Channel Repeater) are often considered for the efficiency of frequency allotment in digital TV. In this paper, we discuss the performance and evaluate some coverage criterions for SFN and OCR. Also, we propose MATLAB simulator for coverage planning and estimation.
