A Study on the Difference of Consumers' Recognition for Education Service Quality (교육 서비스 품질에 대한 소비자 인식의 차이에 관한 연구 -패션 관련 전공을 중심으로-)

  • By using the formerly established SERVQUAL Model, measurement methods and determinant variables in the other papers for the Service Quality, this study first focuses to find out the difference consumers' evaluation between before-experience and after-experience of the educational service, and second, to examine the difference consumers' evaluation between before-experience and after-experience of the educational service according to pre-recognition degree for the subjected educational service quality. The results are derived as follows. 1. As a consequence of the simulation, the consumers distinctly tend to recognize importance of human concern and visual aspect after experience of educational service. 2. Between the group with more pre-recognition degree and less pre-recognition degree for the subjected educational service quality, have no difference.

  • Immersion is a features of VR technology, and the most important condition for evaluating VR experience. With the improvement of VR technology, including the presentation accuracy of VR content, the degree of interaction is diversified, the user's immersion in VR equipment should not only be improved technically, but researched from the user's perception level. The paper defines two important factors, immersion and presence, in a participant's experience with a VR device. Although the current technology can already simulate the real environment information visually and audibly, the content of the VR environment is not enough for us to achieve a completely real experience. Based on the Flow theory of Csikszentmihalyi and the sensory immersion achieved by current technology, this paper proposes the key factors of how to achieve conscious immersion for users in VR media. We prove that immersion is an indicator of the true degree of sensory simulation of VR equipment and is the basis for the realization of flow experience. What really makes the participant feel a perfect experience is the content provided by the VR environment and gave participants a sense of presence, it is not limited to video or games. On the premise of the Multi-Sensory, Immersion, Interactivity and Imagination experience achieved by using virtual reality technology, combined with the content creation of flow theory, the interactive immersion achieved by users is an important method to realize the awareness immersion of VR equipment.

The Validity and Reliability of a Korean Version of the Satisfaction with Simulation Experience Scale for Evaluating Satisfaction with High-Fidelity Simulation Education for Nursing Students (간호대학생의 고성능 인체 환자 모형 시뮬레이션 교육 평가를 위한 한국판 시뮬레이션 만족도 경험 도구의 타당도와 신뢰도 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to test the validity and reliability of the Satisfaction with Simulation Experience (SSE) scale for evaluating high-fidelity simulation education for nursing students. Participants were 174 nursing students, seniors enrolled in two colleges in two different regions. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS / WIN 22.0 and tested for construct validity (factor analysis, group comparison test) and reliability (internal consistency). Factor analysis revealed 17 items and 3 factors explaining 71.581% of the variance. Group comparisons showed that satisfaction with simulation training differed significantly across satisfaction to a college life and school record. Internal consistency reliability for all items was .945. For each sub-domain, the reliability coefficient was .929 for 'Debrief', .908 for 'Clinical learning and reflection', and .860 for 'Clinical reasoning'. Nursing students' mean satisfaction with simulation using the high-fidelity simulator was 3.92. Results of this study are expected to be used for evaluating the satisfaction of nursing college students receiving high-fidelity simulation education, and to serve as groundwork for the development and application of nursing simulation education.

  • The resin infusion method is the latest technology of FRP laminating and cleaning to improve FRP hull quality. This method is focused on how to arrange infusion channels for the laminiating strategy. The laminating strategy using the resin infusion method has been utilized to complete the infusion work and remove the cavities on the FRP surface within the curing time. It is resulting from the arrangement of infusion and vacuum channels, the resin property, and the combination of FRP. This strategy has been depended on the field experience for manufacturing FRP without the resin infusion simulation. This study can help to improve the efficiency of FRP fabrication with the laminating strategy including the resin infusion simulation instead of the field experience.

  • Purpose: This study aims to understand the online practice experience of nursing students through virtual simulation in order to prepare basic data for online practice program development. Methods: This study is a descriptive study that applied a qualitative thematic analysis method to explore the online practice experiences of nursing students. It was targeted to 16 students in the department of nursing at a university. Results: As a result, 5 themes such as 'Feeling ambivalent about the online practice', 'Doubts about the effectiveness of online practice', 'Running into the limits of online practice', 'Feeling like a virtual simulation as an alternative', and 'Approaching true nursing' Conclusion: Virtual simulation is considered a very effective online practice program. However, since the lack of various scenarios and cases is pointed out as a limitation, it is necessary to develop and apply more diverse and systematic practice programs in future research.

  • Simulation system was introduced and used a lot in the fields of aviation, vessel, and medical treatment. 3D Simulation system has been used quite insufficiently as it requires a lot of system resource and huge amount of computer calculation. As the graphic card performance and simulation function developed, however, PC based simulation has been activated and is verified of its possibility as an educational software. However, educational institutions need to invest huge amount of budget and manpower to purchase and maintain CT Equipment. For such a reason, educational institutions entrust their students to hospitals for indirect experience of operation or for mere observation. This study, therefore, developed a CT Virtual reality education system with which medical CT Equipment can be directly operated in PC based 3D Virtual environment.

Nursing Activities Identified through Pediatric Nursing Simulation (간호활동을 중심으로 한 아동간호시뮬레이션 실습 분석)

  • Purpose: This research was a descriptive study of nursing activities observed in nursing simulation during a senior nursing student practicum. Content and frequencies of nursing activities during the simulation practice were identified. Methods: Thirty-six episodes of pediatric nursing simulation were videotaped. Both verbalizations and descriptions of nonverbal behaviors were recorded from the videotapes. The data were coded and analyzed. The coded nursing activities were evaluated for frequency and purpose of interaction. Results: Average time per simulation episodes was 27 minutes and ranged from 3.30 to 32.54 minutes. Nursing activities in these simulation episodes included nursing assessments such as vital sign measurement, associated symptom assessment, and check of patient condition, nursing interventions such as medication, tepid water massage, fluid therapy, provision of oxygen, suctioning, hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia management, communication such as parent education, procedure guidance, and communication among providers. Activities in assessment were most frequent, and among them, vital sign measurement and check of patient condition were more frequent than others. Conclusion: Students showed enhanced nursing activities such as more frequent nursing assessment, communication and interventions in their simulation experience. Therefore simulation experience can be considered as one strategies to provide nursing students with better and more intense practicum experience.

  • This paper concerns the issues involved in development and use of manufacturing simulation software using the Object Oriented Programming System(OOPS) in a computer integrated manufacturing environment, with particular emphasis on large scale integrated circuit fabrication. We introduce OOPS and compare it with existing simulation packages as well as general purpose languages. Our implementation of OOPS shows numerous advantages over the other programming systems. Based on our experience, guidelines for devloping manufacturing simulation systems in OOPS are discussed.
