  • In order to get the maintenance work for the normal operation of rail vehicles made safe maintenance training, which looked suffered direct physical train maintenance environment, gain experience to get out foster the practical skills, but experience the real maintenance in operational problems the maintenance procedures followed are difficult to be. So it can gain experience and knowledge of the actual maintenance work in safe conditions if you apply a simulation experience in a similar environment as possible to the actual train maintenance training can also reduce operational training costs. For a description of the current domestic and simulation programs of the railway sector it has been operating in overseas and is designed to train intensive training, maintenance and maintenance-related information is scarce situation. In this study, the contents of the theory of educational technology for effective training of train maintenance elements exhibit theory, theory of learning situations, designed to train maintenance training simulation through a previous study that investigated the problem-based learning theory.

  • Considerable interest has been directed toward utilizing virtual environment-based simulations for teacher education which provide authentic experience of classroom environment and repetitive training. Emotional Interaction should be considered for more advanced simulation learning performance. Since emotion is important factors in creative thinking, inspiration, concentration, and learning motivation, identifying learners' emotional interactions and applying these results to teaching simulation is essential activities. In this context, this study aims to identify the objective data for the empathetic response through the movement of the learner's EEG (Electroencephalogram) and eye-tracking, and to provide clues for designing emotional teaching simulation. The results of this study indicated that intended empathetic response was provided and in terms of valence (positive and negative) states and situational interest played an important role in determining areas of interest. The results of this study are expected to provide guidelines for the design of emotional interactions in simulations for teacher education as follow; (a) the development of avatars capable of expressing sophisticated emotions and (b) the development of scenarios suitable for situations that cause emotional reactions.

Methods was nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The participants were 88 students 4 grade from the Department of Nursing at C University. The study period was from September 1 to December 31, 2021, and Data were analyzed with X2 test, independent t-test using SPSS 22.0 program. The research results show that the experimental group showed significantly higher performance(t=-9.843, p=.001) and learning satisfaction(t=-3.484, p<.001) for ACLS compared with the control group. In conclusion, it was suggested that ACLS simulation education based on Blended Learning is an effective teaching method to improve nursing students' performance and learning satisfaction.

  • This study investigated the aspects of how three preservice elementary school teachers conducted the data-text transforming discourses in their science simulation teaching and how their epistemological conversations worked for learners' construction of scientific knowledge. Three preservice teachers, who had presented simulation teaching on the seasonal change of constellations, participated in the study. The results revealed that one preservice teacher, who had implemented the transforming discourses of data-to-evidence and model-to-explanation, appeared to facilitate learners' knowledge construction. The other two preservice teachers had difficulty helping learners construct science knowledge due to their lack of transforming discourses. What we should consider for improving preservice elementary school teachers' teaching competencies was discussed based on a detailed comparison of three cases of preservice teachers' data-text transforming.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of simulation-based maternity nursing practice by applying problem based learning (PBL) on the problem solving process, self-confidence in clinical performance and nursing competence of nursing students. Methods: This study was one group pre-posttest design, with 123 third year nursing students. Data were collected from March 19 to May 29, 2013 as the students completed their simulation practice class. Students completed a survey about their problem solving process, self-confidence, and nursing competence at the beginning and the end of the class. Results: Students' problem solving process, self-confidence, and nursing competence showed significant improvements after the simulation-based maternity nursing practice. Conclusion: Therefore, it is recommended that current maternity nursing curriculum should be reviewed and improved, and the students should be provided variety of simulation-based education and maternity nursing skills.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to explore the experiences of nursing students who participated in the pneumonia and pleural effusion using web-based virtual reality and high-fidelity simulation. Methods: This study is qualitative study using inductive content analysis. We developed simulation scenario regarding pneumonia and pleural effusion. Eleven nursing students who participated in simulation were interviewed between June 20 to August 25, 2022. The interviews were transcribed and analyzed according to the inductive content analysis. Results: The results were analyzed into three key categories: 'pre-learning and psychological burden before simulation','increased learning satisfaction','improved clinical performance'. Conclusions: Participants was able to integrate their previous experience, including clinical practice experiences, web-based virtual simulation, into high-fidelity simulation and effectively enhanced their learning experience. Therefore, when providing various types of simulation simultaneously, it is necessary to take into account the prior students' experiences and to organize simulation education by considering the characteristics of simulation.

  • Real-Time Hybrid Simulation (RTHS) is a novel approach conceived to evaluate dynamic responses of structures with parts of a structure physically tested and the remainder parts numerically modelled. In RTHS, delay estimation is often a precondition of compensation; nonetheless, system delay may vary during testing. Consequently, it is sometimes necessary to measure delay online. Along these lines, this paper proposes an online delay estimation method using least-squares algorithm based on a simplified physical system model, i.e., a pure delay multiplied by a gain reflecting amplitude errors of physical system control. Advantages and disadvantages of different delay estimation methods based on this simplified model are firstly discussed. Subsequently, it introduces the least-squares algorithm in order to render the estimator based on Taylor series more practical yet effective. As a result, relevant parameter choice results to be quite easy. Finally in order to verify performance of the proposed method, numerical simulations and RTHS with a buckling-restrained brace specimen are carried out. Relevant results show that the proposed technique is endowed with good convergence speed and accuracy, even when measurement noises and amplitude errors of actuator control are present.
