An Effect of Heat Input on Thermal Storage for Horizontal Thermal Storage Tank with Heat pipe (열 파이프용 수평 축열조에서의 열 입력이 축열에 미치는 영향)

  • The horizontal thermal storage tank with heat pipe which is suitable for the sensible heat storage system is able to store a hot water from the heat source such as heating pad efficiently and to supply a hot water to load rapidly. And arrangement of heating pad play an important role in thermal flow and thermal storage efficiency. In this experiments, number of heating pad is ranged from three, five and nine, and when there is no change on number of heating pad, arrangements are two types of concentration-type and dispersion-type. Strong entrainment take place in the case of concentration-type of heating pad, and rapid temperature rise(${\Delta}{\doteqdot}1.6{\sim}3.2^{\circ}C$) in the tank is obtainable on the concentration-type than dispersion-type. In the constant number of heating pad, the concentration-type has the higher efficiency with about $5{\sim}6%$ than the dispersion-type Therefore, concentration-type of heating pad is an efficient design in constant number of heating pad.

Greenhouse Cooling Using Air Duct and Integrated Fan and Pad System (일체형 팬 앤 패드 시스템과 에어 덕트를 이용한 온실 냉방)

  • The fan and pad evaporative cooling system is one of the main cooling methods in greenhouses. Its efficiency is very high, but it has some disadvantages as temperature gradient in greenhouse is large. This study was conducted to reduce the internal temperature gradients in the fan and pad cooling greenhouses. Experiments on cooling performance were carried out in a greenhouse equipped with air duct and integrated fan and pad system as an idea of this study. It showed that the cooling efficiency of an integrated fan and pad system was 75.7% in the first stage and 88.6% in the second stage. When this cooling system was operated for an unshaded and a shaded greenhouse, there were cooling effects of $5.7\sim7.6^{\circ}C$ and $7.4\sim9.7^{\circ}C$ to the control greenhouse, respectively. Maximum temperature differences in a cooling greenhouse, with a length of 18m, were $1.6\sim1.7^{\circ}C$ for shaded conditions and $2.3\sim2.7^{\circ}C$ for unshaded conditions. This greenhouse cooling method, with air duct and integrated fan and pad system, can reduce about 40~50% of the internal temperature gradients in the usual fan and pad cooling greenhouses.

  • Peripheral arterial disease(PAD) is a major health problem in the elderly population, so prevalence of PAD is investigated using Edinburgh claudication questionnaire. Subjects were over 65 years old in the kyeongsan county. The prevalence of PAD was 9.0% in total population(8.5% in men, 9.3% in women). definite claudication was 3.9%, atypical claudication was 5.1%. and, grade 1 was 4.4%, grade 2 was 4.6%. The prevalence of PAD was increased with age but not statistically significant. There was no difference of PAD by gender and smoking. PAD was significantly associated with systolic blood pressure positively. But, unexpectedly, PAD was significantly associated with BMI negatively. PAD are important elderly health problem in the our country. So the etiology and preventive methods of PAD will be researched on our country population.

A Comparison of Quality of SimPad based on Field Focus Type CPR and Video Self-lnstruction CPR (SimPad를 이용한 현장중심형 심폐소생술과 영상자가학습 심폐소생술의 질 비교)

  • This study was designed to find effective CPR education methods by comparing and analyzing the quality of Field-Focus Type (FFT) CPR using SimPad and the quality of Video Self-lnstruction(VSI) CPR for the learners. The data collection were conducted from November 28, 2018 to December 5, 2018, on 64 first graders who completed CPR lectures at universities located in G metropolitan city, and analyzed using the SPSS ver. 23.0. The results of the study, Field Focus Type (FFT) CPR showed higher quality of Video Self-lnstruction (VSI) CPR in areas such as CPR total score, chest compressions score, chest compressions dept, chest compressions rate, chest compression velocity, total ventilation score, and Total number of ventilation than that of the subjects. Therefore, using Field Focus Type CPR (FFT) education law was found to improve the quality of cardiopulmonary resuscitation compared to the existing Video Self-lnstruction CPR (VSI) education method, and it is believed that it can be used as a basic data for cardiopulmonary resuscitation education in the future.

  • iPad는 Apple사가 만든 태블릿 PC 또는 이와 유사한 모바일 디바이스로, iPhone의 기능에 부가하여 iWorks, iBooks, iAd라는 킬러앱을 장착함으로써 모바일 산업 및 기존 산업들의 생산-유통-소비 구조에 큰 변화를 몰고 올 것으로 전망된다. 주요 기관별 2010년 판매 전망이 300~1,000만 대 사이로 다양한 가운데, iPad는 출시 28일 만에 100만 대의 판매를 돌파하면서 Apple사의 i-시리즈 중 가장 빠른 초기 판매속도를 보이고 있다. 그러나 국내에서는 iPad의 시장확산 속도와 영향력이 해외에서만큼 파괴적이지는 않을 것으로 예상된다. 이는 우리나라 모바일 디바이스 이용 환경/문화가 북미-유럽과 다르고, 대기업 중심의 탄탄한 모바일 단말 제조-유통 구조가 구축되어 있으며, 국내에서 iPhone이 시장점유율 변화에 미친 영향력이 미비했다는 점으로 설명할 수 있겠다. 한편, iPad 열풍에 대한 국내 IT 업체들의 대응방안으로는 대안 소프트웨어 플랫폼을 적극 개발하는 전략, Apple사의 플랫폼 주도권을 인정하고 콘텐츠 및 애플리케이션 개발에 주력하는 전략, 그리고 iPad를 모방한 Me-too 제품을 출시하는 전략 등을 고려할 수 있겠다.

Receiving Pad Identification Coil for Wireless Charging of Electric Vehicle (전기자동차 무선 충전용 수신패드 식별코일의 형상 설계 및 운용 방안)

  • This study proposes a receiving pad identification coil for wireless charging of electric vehicles. The proposed coil identifies the shape of the receiving pad through magnetic coupling with the receiving pad. Therefore, the shape of the coil is designed to show the different magnetic properties of each receiving pad. The accuracy of this design is verified through finite element method simulation. Furthermore, the operation method of the secondary pad identification circuit is described, and the appropriate magnitude and length of the pulse voltage applied to this circuit for receiving pad identification are derived through simulation. The performance of the proposed identification coil set is verified by the experimental results.

Modification of CPW Pad Design for High fmax InGaAs/InAlAs Metamorphic High Electron Mobility Transistors (높은 $f_{max}$ 를 갖는 InGaAs/InAlAs MHEMT 의 Pad 설계)

  • In this paper, we have performed a study that modifies the CPW Pad configurations to improve an $f_{max}$ characteristic of metamorphic HEMT. To analyze the CPW Pad structures of MHEMT, we use the ADS momentum simulator developed by $Agilent^{TM}$. Comparing the employed structure (G/W = 40/100 m), the optimized structure (G/W = 20/25 m) of CPW MHEMT shows the increased $S_{21}$ by 2.5 dB, which is one of the dominant parameters influencing the $f_{max}$ of MHEMT. To compare the performances of optimized MHEMT with the employed MHEMT, DC and RF characteristics of the fabricated MHEMT were measured. In the case of optimized CPW MHEMT, the measured saturated drain current density and transconductance $(g_m)$ were 693 mA/mm and 647 mS/mm, respectively. RF measurements were performed in a frequency range of $0.1{\sim}110$ GHz. A high $S_{21}$ gain of 5.5 dB is shown at a millimeter-wave frequency of 110 GHz. Two kinds of RF gains, $h_{21}$ and maximum available gain (MAG), versus the frequency, and a cut-off frequency ($f_t$) of ${\sim}154$ GHz and a maximum frequency of oscillation ($f_{max}$) of ${\sim}358$ GHz are obtained, respectively, from the extrapolation of the RF gains for a device biased at a peak transconductance. An optimized CPW MHEMT structure is one of the first reports among fabricated 0.1 m gate length MHEMTs.

Dyeing Properties of Ultra-fine Nylon Suede Non-woven Fabric with Sulphur Black Dye by Pad-steam Process (흑색 황화염료와 초극세사 나일론 스웨이드 부직포 직물의 Pad-steam 염색 및 염색성 평가)

  • In this study, we investigated the dyeing properties of the ultra-fine nylon suede non-woven fabric with Sulphur black dye regarding to the effect of dye concentrations, reducing agent contents, sodium carbonate contents, antioxidant contents, immersion temperature and exposure time in air by pad-steam process. The optimal conditions of dyeing for the ultra-fine nylon suede non-woven fabric were determined with dye concentration of 30% o.w.f., reducing agent content of $9{\sim}13g/{\ell}$, sodium carbonate content of $1{\sim}4g/{\ell}$, antioxidant content of $1{\sim}5g/{\ell}$, immersion temperature of $70^{\circ}C$, exposure time of 20 minutes in air and immersion time of 1 minute, respectively. Meanwhile, the colorfastness to washing, the colorfastness to light, and the colorfastness to perspiration for dyed ultra-fine nylon suede non-woven fabric were achieved in the range of 4-5 grades. The formaldehyde and arylamine were not detected on the ultra-fine nylon suede non-woven fabric by KC tests.

  • This paper studies the mechanical behaviors of Sn-3.5Ag solder joint against substrate(such as Au/Ni/Cu, Au/cu, Ni/Cu and Cu pad) after induction heating, a new soldering method. It was found that the solder bump formation depends on the time and current of the induction heating system. Also the heating value of the solder bump were found to vary with respect to the thermal conductivity of the pads on the substrate. In case of Au/Ni/Cu pad and Au/Cu pad, solder bump's shear strength were high for the heating time of $1.5{\sim}2sec$. For Ni/Cu pad, solder bump's shear strength were found to increase with time increment.

Effectiveness of Disposable Single Electrocardiogram Electrode (SIM-Tree) Comparing with Conventional Method (일회용 단일 심전도패드(SIM-Tree)의 기존 방법과 비교를 통한 효과 분석)

  • This study was conducted to compare the effectiveness of the newly developed electrode pad of ECG with that of a conventional method. To accomplish this, participants who performed both methods on a 46 year old male model were queried and their satisfaction, time, and accuracy were measured by a specialist from 01/06/2018 to 15/06/2018. In the conventional method, a newly developed single pad employing a 12-lead ECG and SIM-Tree was employed. There were 104 total participants in this study (44% medical members). Evaluation of the total procedure time revealed that SIM (mean 65.39 seconds) was more rapid than C (mean 94.38 seconds) (p<0.05). When we evaluated the response after all process, satisfaction with SIM (mean 97.69 seconds) was greater than that with C (mean 68.5 seconds) (p<0.05). Moreover, the intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC) was 0.959 and accuracy was very high (p<0.05). In conclusion, the SIM-Tree was very effective based on procedure time, satisfaction and accuracy when compared with conventional methods.
