Before the advent of early plastic or maxillofacial reconstructive surgery, facial features could only be replaced and mimicked by prosthetic, artificial means. Facial deformity or dysfunction, whether congenital or acquired by trauma or mutilating disease, has long been an area of constant research, development and innovation in many cultures of the world. One of the greatest contributors to the need for maxillofacial prosthetics has been physical conflict and warfare. The use of maxillofacial prostheses is not merely the replacement of a missing or disfigured aspect of the face, but the rehabilitation of that individual back into the society from which they originate. Rehabilitation includes the restoration of the person's self worth and confidence, not just physically but psychologically. In sixteenth century, Ambroise Pare, French military surgeon, first have tried many maxillofacial prosthetics for injured war soldiers with papier-mache, silver, gold and copper. According to patient's demand who lost their maxillofacial figures, maxillofacial personnel have increased and prosthetic's skill have been advanced all of the world. Over the last decade, there has been a very rapid development in technical possibilities to provide patients with facial prostheses retained by skin penetrating implants. This article will present overall history of maxillofacial prostheses and some background information on the materials used from the old world. And to overcome still many limitation of prosthetic, new minds and new ideas for technique and materials should be developed.
A particular type of constant speed helical trajectory, with variable ascension rate, is proposed. Such trajectories are candidates of choice as motion primitives in automatic airplane trajectory planning; they can also be used by airplanes taking off or landing in limited space. The equations of motion for airplanes flying on such trajectories are exactly solvable. Their solution is presented, together with an analysis of the restrictions imposed on the geometrical parameters of the helical paths by the dynamical abilities of an airplane. The physical quantities taken into account are the airplane load factor, its lift coefficient, and the thrust its engines can produce. Formulas are provided for determining all the parameters of trajectories that would be flyable by a particular airplane, the final altitude reached, and the duration of the trajectory. It is shown how to construct speed interval tables, which would appreciably reduce the calculations to be done on board the airplane. Trajectories are characterized by their angle of inclination, their radius, and the rate of change of their inclination. Sample calculations are shown for the Cessna 182, a Silver Fox like unmanned aerial vehicle, and the F-16 Fighting Falcon.

Recently, human life is getting longer due to change of living environment and development of medical technology, and silver medical technology has been in the limelight. Geriatric skin disease is difficult to detect early, and when it is missed, it becomes a malignant disease and is difficult to treatment. Melanoma is one of the most common diseases of geriatric skin disease and initially has a similar modality with the nevus. In order to overcome this problem, we attempted to perform a feature analysis in order to attempt automatic detection of melanoma-like lesions. In this paper, one is first order analysis using information of pixels in radiomic feature. The other is a gray-level co-occurrence matrix and a gray level run length matrix, which are feature extraction methods for converting image information into a matrix. The features were extracted through these analyses. And classification is implemented by SVM.
The Nara Dynasty of Japan lasted from 710 to 784 A.D, which corresponds to the period of the Unified Shilla Kingdom of Korea. The Nara Dynasty enacted the 'Daiho Law and Ordinance' by referring to those of Tang Dynasty of China. Under these legal systems, the Ministries were defined, and foods were used for paying taxes or as currency. The characteristics of the dietary culture in Nara Dynasty were as follows. 1) They obtained food from rice and other grain farming, hunting and fishery. Rice was their main staple and was also used for preparing porridge and brewing wine. 2) Under the influence of Buddhism, meat was prohibited, and milks or dairy products were supplemented for improving malnutritional status. 3) They also used seasonings, spices and sweeteners to enhance the taste and produced medicines by extracting plants, animals and minerals. 4) While chopsticks were made of bamboo, willow, silver, shell, tree or bronze, such utensils as pan earthenware steamer, or charcoal pots were used for preparing meals. 5) Highly qualified utensils, made of porcelains painted with lacguetr, metal, glass, horn and stone, were produced as handcraft art wad developed. 6) Chinese style cousines and cooking methods were popular and various types of preserving techniques like drying or salting were used. Processed cookies were also developed. 7) Although flour was used mainly among noble class people, ordinary people also used it. The royal families ate milk products a lot and even fried foods. 8) One can say that Buddism exerted an influence on Vegetarianism from this era.
The TSDC(Thermally Stimulated Depolarization Current) measurement were carried out in the temperature range $30{\sim}500^{\circ}C$. We observed the anomalous two peaks that have a thousand times longer relaxation time than that of the space charge. It seems that the origin of the two peak are due to the electron trapping effect and to the adsorption of the vacancies at silver electrode.

We analyzed the structures and properties of the global financial market networks using social network analysis approach. The Minimum Spanning Tree (MST) lengths and networks of the global financial markets based on the correlation coefficients have been analyzed. Firstly, similar to the previous studies on the global stock indices using MST length, the diversification effects in the global multi-asset portfolio can disappear during the crisis as the correlations among the asset class and within the asset class increase due to the system risks. Second, through the network visualization, we found the clustering of the asset class in the global financial markets network, which confirms the possible diversification effect in the global multi-asset portfolio. Meanwhile, we found the changes in the structure of the network during the crisis. For the last one, in terms of the degree centrality, the stock indices were the most influential to other assets in the global financial markets network, while in terms of the betweenness centrality, Gold, Silver and AUD. In the practical perspective, we propose the methods such as MST length and network visualization to monitor the change of the correlation risk for the risk management of the multi-asset portfolio.
This study was jointly conducted by the department of nursing science in a college of natural sciences and the furniture design department in the art and physical education to research the critical factors for the furniture development for the Elderly in consideration of the surging number of senior citizens not only in Korea but also globally. On the basis of the Elderly's physical and mental characteristics investigated by the department of nursing science, the furniture design guideline for the Elderly was presented. The following points should be considered at designing the furniture for the Elderly. First, multiple functions like chair with removable toilet bowl and part lighting in bed are advantageous. Second, the dimension of furniture such as chair, bed and sofa should be ergonomically thought in terms of structure for the Elderly's convenience. Third, the bright and vivid color of furniture should be chosen from the aspect of the design, while the different kinds of blue should be avoided. Small patterns and high glossy are not recommendable, but various kinds of feelings in different shapes are suggested. Forth, the material should contribute to the fracture prevention and for that sponge, fabric and leather smoothing the surface of furniture are recommendable as the finishing treatment in a wide variety of colors.
Molecular association of glucose transporters with the other proteins in the plasma membrane was assessed by gel electrophoresis and immunoblot techniques. Approximately $31.5{\pm}5.1%$ of GLUT-4, $64.8{\pm}2.7%$ of clathrin, 48.7% of total protein in the plasma membrane (PM) were found insoluble upon extraction with 1% Tx-100. Sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis revealed that the Tx-100 insoluble PM fraction contained about 4 major polypeptides with apparent molecular weight of above 200, 100-120, 80 and 30-35 KDa that were readily removed upon wash with a high pH buffer which is known to remove clathrin and 0.5 M Tris-buffer which is known to remove assembly proteins (AP). Immunoblotting of GLUT4 and clathrin against specific antibodies showed that GLUT-4 and clathrin were co-solubilized up to 84.6% and 82.7% respectively by wash with a high pH buffer and 1% Tx-100. When the membrane was pre-washed with a high pH buffer and 0.5 M Tris solution, GLUT4 and clathrin were not solubilized further suggesting that GLUT4 molecules are in molecular association with clathrin, AP and/or other extrinsic membrane proteins in plasma membrane and the formation of clathrin-coated structures might be involved in insulin stimulated glucose transporter translocation mechanism.
In this study, heat loss through free surface of water contained in bathtub due to conduction and evaporation has been analyzed. As a result of this study, a relational equation has been derived based on the basic theory of heat transfer to evaluate the performance of bath tubes. The derived equation was rational and quantitative. The major heat loss was found to be due to evaporation. Moreover, it has been found out that the speed of heat loss depends more on the humidity of the bathroom than the temperature of water contained in the bathtub. So, it is best to maintain the temperature of bathtub water to be between 41 to $45^{\circ}C$ and the humidity of bathroom to be 95%.

Non-specific reaction has been a problem in doing, especially, research and diagnosis for infectious agents. Avidin-biotin-peroxidase complex (ABC) techniques has widely been used to amplify a reaction. Photobacterium damse1a subsp. piscicdia (formerly Pasteurella piscicida) exhibited a capacity to bind with streptavidin non-specifically. The band, estimated 26 K Da in Western blotted paper, was blocked with biotin but incompletely. In an attempt to explore an involvement of the non-specific substance in attaching piscine cells, cell attachment test performed using anti- Ph. d. subsp piscicida sera raised mouse and rabbit exhibited slightly blocking effects for Mediterranean (1736) and significantly for Japanese (Sp 92144) isolate. Biotin decreased the attachment ability significantly for Sp92144 but it was not effective to 1736. Both isolates showed greatly enhanced attachment ability with poly-L-lysin. The non-specific binding substance was contained in bacterial extracellular products (ECPs). The substance was able to purified with 2-imminobiotin affinity column, the purified substance appeared to have 4 bands in silver staining, and had a carbohydrate branch. This purified substance showed cytotoxic effects selectively between 5 piscine cell lines. Moreover, it stimulated rainbow trout macrophage in terms of reduction of cytochrome cas well as yeast phagocytosis, significantly.
