In this paper, we investigated the age classification from the speaker by analyzing the voice calls of the emergency center. We classified the adult and elderly from the call center calls using behavioral speech utterances and SVM(Support Vector Machine) which is a machine learning classifier. We selected two behavioral speech utterances through analysis of the call data from the emergency center: Silent Pause and Turn-taking latency. First, the criteria for age classification selected through analysis based on the behavioral speech utterances of the emergency call center and then it was significant(p <0.05) through statistical analysis. We analyzed 200 datasets (adult: 100, elderly: 100) by the 5 fold cross-validation using the SVM(Support Vector Machine) classifier. As a result, we achieved 70% accuracy using two behavioral speech utterances. It is higher accuracy than one behavioral speech utterance. These results can be suggested age classification as a new method which is used behavioral speech utterances and will be classified by combining acoustic information(MFCC) with new behavioral speech utterances of the real voice data in the further work. Furthermore, it will contribute to the development of the emergency situation judgment system related to the age classification.

A new medium access control protocol is proposed to support stable wireless Internet services. Using the characteristics of the uplink Internet traffic and a Voice-Packet multi-session mode, the proposed protocol transmits the uplink Internet traffic via the voice traffic channel of silent duration in a multi-session mode. Out simulation results show that the proposed protocol guarantees stable wireless Internet services under heavy loads.

This study analyzes different types of pauses in French language - silent pauses and filled pauses -, focussing on their distribution and duration in utterances from a radio interview. Pauses combined with intonation which precede and succeed influence the variability of intonation patterns; initial rising and penultima rising of French intonation. These two patterns characterize contemporary French, specially in face-to-face situation.

Rupture or laceration of the aorta is a more common result of nonpenetrating traumatic injury than is generally appreciated. If the lesion is promptly diagnosed, a appropriate surgical treatment may be life-saving. Diagnosis may be difficult and at times the rupture may remain clinically silent for variable period.< A 34 - year old male patient had sustained steering wheel injury to his chest during automobile accident 8 weeks prior to admission. The diagnosis of traumatic aneurysm of the aorta was delayed as he was asymptomatic. Surgical repair of false aneurysm of the descending aorta was successfully performed by partial cardiopulmonary bypass through the femoral artery and vein.

Duel models are frequently used in war game simulation. Both game-theoretic approach and stochastic approach are applied to duel situations in war game. Game-theoretic models are usually classified into three categories, noisy duel, silent duel, and duel of continuous firing. Stochastic duels are classified depending upon assumptions. In this paper formulation and a general solution for each model will be summarized.

고혈압은 증상이 없이 나타나며, 심장질환이나 뇌질환과 같이 인체에 치명적인 손상을 입히기 때문에 '조용한 살인자(silent killer)'라고 불린다. 고혈압을 예방하기 위해서는 체중감소, 알코올 섭취의 감소, 규칙적인 운동, 염분 섭취의 감소가 중요하다. 그리고 혈압을 강하시키기 위해서는 약물치료보다는 행동수정요법과 운동요법이 선행되어야 한다고 하였다. 고혈압을 치료하기 위해서 속보나 조깅, 자전거, 수영과 같은 산소운동이 가장 좋다고 보고되고 있다. 그러나 화자들은 저마다의 생리적 특성이 다르다. 관절이 좋지 않은 사람, 허리에 통증이 있는 사람, 운동 중 혈압의 반응이 비정상적인 사람 등 다양하다. 본고에서는 고혈압 환자에게 권장되는 운동종목을 제시하고, 운동종목별 특성과 주의사항을 제시하고자 한다.

In this paper prosodic characteristics of French language are analysed with a corpus of radio interview. Intonation patterns are interpreted in terms of raising pattern, focal raising pattern and falling pattern. Accentual prominence is classified in two types, rhythmic accent and focal accent. Focal accent permit to explain the cohesion in a utterance or between two utterances. As a prosodic variable of discourse pauses are described by their form of realization (filled pause, silent pause, hesitation etc), their distribution and their function in utterance.

The feasibility of Magnetohydrodynamic(MHD) Ship Propulsion using Superconduction Magnets is reviewed in light of relent advances in high-temperature superconducting. The propulsion using a screw propeller in the noise reduction has it's own limitation. The epochal noiseless MHD propulsion method which does not have this disadvantage is studying nowadays. The subject of a marine MHD as propulsion has been examined before and was found to be interesting because of relatively low magnetic flux densities. It is demonstrated that the MHD propulsion is technically interesting with high magnetic flux density. The development of large-scale magnets using the high-temperature superconductor now under development could make it practical to construct submersibles for high-speed and silent operation.

This study considered the transmission loss and frequency characteristecs of window, and examined the transmission loss for each type of windows to design an optimized window for blocking external noise. Moreover this has detect the transmission loss which depending on the thickness and the types(single and fair glass) of window as several major factors of transmission loss design. With this result, this study suggests a window design guide for much silent condition which is below the level of noise standard recommended.
