Purpose: The purpose of this research was to examine the effects of preferred music intervention on anxiety, vital signs and blood sugar of surgical patients undergoing spinal anesthesia. Methods: A quasi-experimental research with non-equivalent control group non-synchronized design was carried out. Subjects consisted of 40 patients (experimental group 20, control group 20) who were scheduled to undergo surgery with spinal anesthesia. During the operation, music individual patients preferred was provided to the experimental group. The data were collected from July 4 to November 10, 2011 and analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, chi-square test, ANCOVA and repeated measured ANCOVA using SAS (ver 9.2). Results: 1) Patient anxiety during the operation of the experimental group was significantly lower than the control group (F=93.77, p<.001). 2) There was no significant difference in diastolic blood pressure (F=.00, p=.979), Systolic blood pressure (F=.19, p=.668), heart rate (F=.00, p=.955), and blood sugar (F=.73, p=.399) between the experimental group and the control group. Conclusion: Letting patients hear their preferred music during surgery is an effective nursing intervention to relieve anxiety of patients undergoing surgery with spinal anesthesia.

This paper proposes and implements a LoRa-based emergency exit guide system which can direct the optimal refuge path accounting for the real state of the fires. Each 4-way emergency exit guide sign presents a right direction through one of four LED signs toward the possible exit dynamically calculated by the shortest path algorithm. We constructed a simulation environment with 8 spots of the emergency exit guide signs and 2 exits, which can simulate variant cases of fire accidents, and showed that the proposed algorithm can presents the right guidance for each emergency exit guide sign. We also evaluated the performances of LoRa-based wireless communications using a self developed communication module in the various indoor and outdoor environments. The proposed system can be applied to small and medium sized buildings as well as larger ones in terms of cost efficiency, in which there's no needs to invest for the complex equipments except only sensors and emergency exit guide signs.

Respiration signal of the vital signs is an important parameter in clinical parts. To extract the respiration signal from PPG signal for mobile healthcare system is difficult because the bands of the motion artifacts and respiration in the frequency domain are overlapped. This study to improve this problem suggested a respiration extraction method using the independent component analysis and evaluated its performances. In results of evaluation, the ICA method showed better performance than LPF suggested recently.

As a preparation of a design standard regarding road facilities, such as cantilever columns for traffic lights, street lights on highways is proposed. Currently these minor structures are designed based on guidelines which are mixed with multiple old foreign specifications without any criteria in terms of safety and economy, which could lead irregular safeties and the loss of national properties. In the considered two cases for effective projected area, it is found that following efficient way of design without critical analyses could make significant errors and miscalculations. Therefore, a fundamental research on the minor structures is urgently needed.

Exhibition can be a type of mass-communication since it should contains some 'meaning' or 'message' that is to be delivered. The purpose of visiting museum is to view exhibits. Thus, factors, such as exhibits, exhibition media, show-case, direction signs, and gates, form visual perception, which means there exists homogeneity between visual perception and action. Visitors acquire knowledge by the space interaction when one can acknowledge the consecutive time flow while moving along the exhibition space. Visitors' movements can be formed by visual and perceptive experience that follows environmental stimulus and individual desire. Therefore, museum visitors experience certain shift flow with visual perception caused by the continuity of space. Thus, the research on development of focus in continuity is required. In addition, if the quality of exhibition space and organized continuity with visual diversity can be improved in exhibition design, it would expand the function of communication in exhibitions.

The purpose of this research is to determine the point of fixation of the driver during the process of driving. Based on the results of this research, the driving instructor can make a judgement on what the trainee stare on the most. Traffic accidents have become a serious concern in modern society. Especially, the traffic accidents among unskilled and elderly drivers are at issue. A driver should put attention on the vehicles around, traffic signs, passersby, passengers, road situation and its dashboard. An eye-tracking-based application was developed to analyze the driver's gaze behavior. It is a prototype for real-time eye tracking for monitoring the point of interest of drivers in driving practice. In this study, the driver's attention was measured by capturing the movement of the eyes in real road driving conditions using these tools. As a result, dwelling duration time, entry time and the average of fixation of the eye gaze are leading parameters that could help us prove the idea of this study.

The purpose of this study is to derive a desirable riverfront construction plan to me for the activities of citizens through the evaluation and analysis of the urban riverfront space from the perspective of universal design. Therefore, previous studies were examined in order to induce evaluation tools that bhve been grafted from the universal design concept; in addition, a field survey was conducted in Shincheon, Daegu, which was selected as the study target, in order to induce problems and improvement directions from the perspective of universal design. The major results can be summarized as follows. (1) In the 'fairness' aspect, all the items such as installation of integrated functional signage, showing pictures, symbols, foreign language signs, and restroom entrances signage were determined to be 'All Unsuitable' for all sections; and therefore, it is necessary to improve the fairness of usage for everybody. (2) In the 'Functionality(Usability)' aspect, all items such as installation of bicycle paths beside access roads, installation of integrated functional signs, and night light signs were determined to be 'All Unsuitable' for all sections; therefore, it is necessary to improve the functionalities of these facilities. (3) In the 'Convenience' aspect, all items such as the installation of bicycle parking areas, continuous rest facilities, and back and ann support(handles) at resting facilities were determined to be 'All Unsuitable' for many sections; therefore, it is necessary to improve these facilities for the convenience of usage. (4) In the 'Information(Recognizability)' aspect, all items such as showing pictures, symbols, foreign languages and installation of night light signs, and restroom entrances signage were determined to be 'All Unsuitable' for all sections; therefore, it is necessary to improve the recognizability to minimize misunderstandings and confusion. (5) In the 'Safety' aspect, all items such as the installation of safe pedestrian paths in parking areas, using anti-slip and shock absorption materials on restroom floors, and the continuous installation of pedestrian paths that are separate from bicycle paths were determined to be 'All Unsuitable' for all sections; therefore, it is necessary to improve the safety to prevent accidents. (6) In the 'Amenity' aspect, access roads, parking areas, hygiene facilities, convenience facilities, and waterside facilities for many sections were determined to be 'All Unsuitable'; therefore, it is necessary to conduct more concentrated hygiene management. (7) In the 'Accessibility(Mobility)' aspect, all items such as the installation of safe pedestrian paths in parking areas, and continuous pedestrian paths that are separate from bicycle paths were determined to be 'All Unsuitable' for all sections; therefore, it is necessary to improve the accessibility to provide safety and convenience. (8) In the 'Durability' aspect, access roads, parking areas, rest facilities, convenience facilities, fitness facilities, and waterside facilities were determined to be 'All Unsuitable' for many sections, therefore, it is necessary to improve sunken or damaged areas by inspecting facilities by section.

Seller shall deliver the goods with a perfect condition of packing or container in international trade. Unless otherwise seller shall warranty that the goods arrive at destination with a safe and economic value. Buyer may ask packing is to be made in specific condition or refuse to accept when the packing is not made in accordance with trade customs between among merchants. Especially packing is to be considered under the local law and process. Sometimes tax will be added to specific condition of packing for example glasses, metal sheet or others. Warning signs shall be included as form of both words and diagrams, and be in form of ensuring understanding in the local market. Wide range of warning signs can be used for communications and understanding of packing. Packing of a product can usefully symbolize a range of product information, or any relevant warnings, and give an opportunity for displaying messages of promoting the company and the goods. The seller may choose the best method to maintain its value but find a way to reduce packing cost, size for convenience during delivery, design, and local customs. There are many things to be considered for packing to seller. The purpose of packing is to protect the goods itself and to maintain its economic value during storage, delivery, transshipment, and distribution to end users.

As the services of ubiquitous environment has become accessible everywhere, it has been developed in various fields. Additionally interests in the u-Healthcare has sharply increased. In this paper, the BAN (Body Area Network) has been applied through ECG sensor and Zigbee communication of the existing ubiquitous sensor network environment to measure one's vital signs. The measured vital signs were then implemented in a system that enabled doctors and specialists to monitor by using 3G(WCDMA) communication. Furthermore, a location search device has been designed using the Smartphone's GPS modules to locate patients in the case of an emergency. The data field definition and designed system was based on the Smartphone's iPhone platform which has been in the spotlight for the previous months.
