In this study, the structural relationship among risk factors, safety motivation, and safety behavior perceived by telecommunications workers was empirically verified. A survey was conducted on field workers at S telecommunications companies in Korea, and the following major results were obtained. First, among the risk factors perceived by telecommunications workers, personal, cultural, and institutional factors were found to have significant positive effects on workers' safety motivation. Second, workers' safety motivation had a significant positive effect on safety behavior. Third, among the risk factors of telecommunications companies, personal, cultural, and institutional factors did not significantly affect workers' safety behavior. Fourth, all risk-causing factors perceived by workers, such as personal, cultural, and institutional factors, indirectly affected safety behavior through safety motivation. This study presents the importance of perceiving risk factors in the workplace to prevent and alleviate industrial accidents by examining the effects of riskcausing factors perceived by carrier workers on safety motivation and behavior.
Background: Recently, competency-based education has been reorganized in the dental hygiene curriculum. In education, non-cognitive factors are emphasized. Grit, the non-cognitive ability to persevere to achieve an individual's long-term goals, is emerging. This study aims to identify the degree of grit and core competencies in students and to investigate the relationship between them and the factors that affect these core competencies. Methods: This study was conducted using 350 dental hygiene students who were randomly assigned a structured questionnaire to complete. The final analysis included 321 students. The survey contents evaluated grit, core competencies, and general characteristics. The difference in the degree of grit and core competencies in conjunction with the general characteristics of the subjects was analyzed using the t-test/Mann Whitney U-test and the ANOVA/Kruskal-Wallis H test. Multiple regression analysis was then conducted to determine the factors affecting the core competencies of the subjects. Results: The difference of 'grit' according to general characteristics was statistically significant in 'major satisfaction', 'relationship', 'perceived academic achievement', 'grade point average (GPA)'. The difference in 'core competency' according to general characteristics was statistically significant in 'grade', 'department selection', 'major satisfaction', 'relationship', 'perceived academic achievement', 'GPA'. Among the sub-areas of 'grit', 'perseverance of effort' showed a high correlation with 'core competency' and was statistically significant. As a result of regression analysis, 'major satisfaction', 'perceived academic achievement' and 'grit' of dental hygiene students had a statistically significant influence on 'core competency'. Meanwhile, 'GPA' was not seen to be statistically significant in 'core competency'. Conclusion: Grit, a non-cognitive factor, had a statistically significant effect on core competency, while the effects on GPA, a cognitive factor, were not statistically significant. Among the sub-factors of grit, 'perseverance of effort' had a statistically significant effect on 'problem-solving competency' and 'academic competency', which are 'core competency' sub factors.
Purpose: This study was conducted to synthesis the results of research on relationships of cognitive impairment with multi-dimensional correlates of rheumatic disease through a systematic literature review and meta-analysis. Methods: For the study purpose, 23 studies were selected through a systematic process of searching the literature. Results: The study results showed that among general characteristics, age and education were the variables having a significant relationship with cognitive impairment. Among health risk factors, obesity appeared to have a significant positive relationship with cognitive impairment. For past history, diabetes and hypertension were shown to have a significant positive relationship with cognitive impairment. It was noted also that aPL, one of the physiological factor, had significant association with cognitive impairment. None of the medication related factors had a significant relationship with cognitive impairment. Results showed that among disease related factors, disease activity had the highest relationship with cognitive impairment. Depression, among psychological factors, was the only variable having a significant relationship with cognitive impairment. Conclusion: The findings indicate that the variables strongly impacting on cognitive impairment in rheumatic disease are depression and disease activity.
Objectives : This study investigated the prevalence of unmet health care needs among Korean adults and related factors. Methods : The study participants were adults over the age of 20 mental health experience from the Korea Health Panel in 2012(n=4,730). Statistical analysis methods used in this study were the ${\chi}^2$-test, Logistic Regression Analysis and other basic statistics such frequency-and percentage using SPSS version 22.0. Results : (1)Significant variables of stress: Factors were age, economic activity, subjective health status, and activity limitation. (2)Significant variables of depression: Factors were age, income class(low) and activity limitation. (3)Significant variables of suicidal impulse: Factors were age, chronic diseases, income class, and activity limitation. Conclusions : Stress, depression, and suicidal impulse can be unmet medical factors; therefore improvement measures and mental health counseling programs in response to suicide impulses, should be developed. Thus there is a need for a health sciences approach.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify predictive factors of Brest Self-Examination practice of clinical nurses. Method: The subject for this study were 277 nurses in 8 university hospitals in Busan. The data were collected from September 21 to October 20, 2001 by means of a structure questionnaire. The instruments used for this study were Choi's BSE knowledge scale. Kim's BSE attitude scale and Jung's BSE practice scale. The data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, Peason Correlation, t-teat, ANOVA, scheffe's test, and multiple stepwise Regression using SPSS program. Result: 1. The mean score of BSE practice for the total sample was 7. 25${\pm}$4.62. 2. Statistically significant factors influencing the BSE Practice among social demographic characteristics were age(F=2.734, P=0.44), Married status(t=2.598, p=0.010). 3. Statistically significant factors influencing the BSE Practice among BSE relating characteristics were enlisting the help of significant peers(t=3.34, P=0.00), Intention of Practice for BSE(t=10.462, p=0.00), performance of BSE(t=7.800, P=0.00), frequency of performance in BSE(F=13.932, p=0.00), confidence in Knowledge of BSE technique(F=5.350, p=0.00), confidence in finding breast nodule(F=7.204, p=.00), asking client's BSE (t=3.153, P=0.01). 4.The mild correlation between nurse's BSE knowledge and practice was found(r=0.366,p=0.000). 5. There were significant predictors of BSE Practice. Performance of BSE was the best significant predictive factor(R2=.383, p=.000) Another significant predictive factors were knowledge, intension of practice, married status, frequency of performance. Conclusion: Degree of nurses' performance of BSE was average. It is necessary to develope the nurses' educational program for BSE with its focus on above predictive factors of performance of BSE.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the prime factors that affect user satisfaction of area and facilities in urban forests, to classify those factors, to find out factorial structure of user satisfaction about them, and then to suggest important indicators in the urban forest planning, design, and development. The survey research was done using the self-administered questionnaire method by the people in the city of the Pusan who participated in recreational activities in the Mt. Keumjung. Factor analysis was used to extract the prime factors related to the recreational satisfaction concerning the area and facilities of the urban forest by the SPSS program, and then prime factors were used to investigate the factorial structure of user recreational satisfaction in the urban forest by the LInear Structure RELation program. According to the factor analysis concerning the 13 variables, 4 prime factors by the statistical values were considered as effective, indicating, 'health and recreational facilities', 'convenience and management facilities','facilities for the physical and psychological training' and 'historical and cultural areas'. The results of the causal structure analysis were identified as having significant effects mutually on endogenous variables, 'overall recreational satisfaction of the areas and facilities in the Mt. Keumjung','health and recreational facilities','convenience and management facilities','facilities for the psychological training', and 'historical and cultural areas'. But exogenous variables which have significant effects on endogenous variables were also indentified. Overall fits of both causal model were very good. The hypothetical causal structural equation models based on the results found partially significant correlation between dndogenous variables and between envogenous and exogenous variables. These significant relationships indiate important factors and variables that should be considered in planning, design, and development of the urban forests. Therefore, development direction of the Mt. Keumjung has to be analyzed as significant factors concerning user recreational satisfaction in a systematic was, recognized as important variables for planning process. The plan for development and management also should reflect the natural conservation policy from the environmental conservation movement like natural conservation advertisement and environmental education.
