This study intends to rehabilitate the memories of the social other which have been gradually forgotten in the social events overloaded with the undemocratic violence in South Korea today. This study explores a case of Yongsan Tragedy in 2009 among the most tragic events. It notes the autonomous ways in which activist artists would like to memorize the socio-historical events anew despite the emptiness of public records. In other words, this study considers the Yongsan case to be significant that a group of the public, artists, grassroots activists, religion men got together in solidarity so as to create the contested narratives countering dominant memories and thus to signify the records written by the civil society. Among others, activist artists had documented the unofficial counter-memories of socially alienated peoples in terms of planning a series of artistic events such as opening some gallery exhibitions and performance events, issuing a volume of work books, comics and photographies, online broadcasting, and directing some documentaries. Especially, this paper tends to note the documentation of on-site activist artists to record the counter-memories against social oblivion. By doing so, it finally suggests how we could document the Yongsan Tragedy both to search out the archival implications of today's art activism and to insert those artistic records into the commonly shared counter-memories in a more inclusive way.

Converting the agricultural land-use of rice field to upland has been increasingly conducted as farmers encourages themselves to grow higher value-added crops on rice fields under the policy support. Comparing to rice field, Upland shows different characteristic of discharge due to the slope, scale, and shape of field and characteristics of rainfall event. In this study, we designed the experiment fields reflecting flat-upland characteristics with different land scale, and tried to collect the discharge and load data. Soybeans and corn were selected as target crops considering the possibility of large-scale cultivation and crop demand. The cultivation was conducted during the growth period in 2019 with 3 different field scales. Hence, we have collected the discharge data from 17 rainfall events and the load data for 8 rainfall events. As a result, the magnitude of rainfall events and the discharge duration were found to have a strong positive correlation and field discharge occurred during the period by 55% to 83% of rainfall duration. Besides we found other relationships and characteristics of rainfall event, discharge, and pollutant load and also pointed out that continuous monitoring and more data are required to derive statistically significant results. Compared with slope-field monitoring data obtained from the precedent research, the runoff ratio of the flat-fields was significantly lower than slope-fields. Overall the discharge in the slop and flat-fields shows appreciably different characteristics so that the related researches need to be further conducted to reasonably assess environmental impact of agricultural activities at flat-field.
Purpose: To determine the efficacy and safety of oral propranolol as a first-line treatment for superficially located infantile hemangioma (IH) and propose an assessment tool to measure treatment response. Methods: Patients with superficial IH under 1 year of age were prospectively recruited between May 2012 and December 2013 at the Department of Pediatrics of Chungbuk National University Hospital. Propranolol was administered to 12 infants (median age, 3.8 months) while monitoring cardiovascular and adverse metabolic effects. If a patient showed no adverse events, the dosage was gradually increased up to 3 mg/kg/day and maintained for 1 year. We used our own scoring system to assess treatment response using parameters like change in color, and longest diameter, and thickness of the IH. Results: Eleven out of 12 patients completed the protocol with consistent improvement of hemangiomas during therapy. Patients on propranolol showed a more than 50% involution in the first 3 months, with additional steady involution until 1 year. Patients with the highest scores at 1 month maintained their score and showed better responses until treatment termination. The patient with the lowest score at 1 month did not show any further regression and stopped propranolol treatment 4 months after initiation. In two children with recurrences after successful therapeutic regression, propranolol was effective after being reintroduced. Propranolol treatment was not interrupted in any patient due to adverse events. Conclusion: Oral propranolol at 3 mg/kg/day showed a consistent, rapid, and therapeutic effect on superficial IHs without significant adverse events.

Concurrently detected and annotated abnormal events can have a significant impact on surveillance systems. By considering the specific domain of pedestrian trajectories, this paper presents two main contributions. First, as introduced in much of the work on trajectory-based anomaly detection in the literature, only information about pedestrian paths, such as direction and speed, is considered. Differing from previous work, this paper proposes a framework that deals with additional types of trajectory-based anomalies. These abnormal events take places when a person enters prohibited areas. Those restricted regions are constructed by an online learning algorithm that uses surrounding information, including detected pedestrians and background scenes. Second, a simple data-boosting technique is introduced to overcome a lack of training data; such a problem particularly challenges all previous work, owing to the significantly low frequency of abnormal events. This technique only requires normal trajectories and fundamental information about scenes to increase the amount of training data for both normal and abnormal trajectories. With the increased amount of training data, the conventional abnormal trajectory classifier is able to achieve better prediction accuracy without falling into the over-fitting problem caused by complex learning models. Finally, the proposed framework (which annotates tracks that enter prohibited areas) and a conventional abnormal trajectory detector (using the data-boosting technique) are integrated to form a united detector. Such a detector deals with different types of anomalous trajectories in a hierarchical order. The experimental results show that all proposed detectors can effectively detect anomalous trajectories in the test phase.

This research is on the methodology of flood risk assessment using flooding characteristic values. Necessity of design magnitude for flood control considering floods was judged by plotting peak flow with respect to frequency and duration, and flooding magnitude was defined with 6 flooding characteristic values which were proposed to be significant factors when assessing flooding magnitude. Precipitation data used in the assessment modeling were applied by combining all the possible precipitation events. After overlapping the simulated results with precipitation matrix by flooding characteristic values, contour map was drawn, and Flooding characteristic contour graph for possible rainfall events were suggested in respect of all possible precipitation. Flooding characteristic contour graph for possible rainfall events was confirmed that reducing of damage magnitude of each flood characteristic value was figured out easily. The flood risk assessment methods suggested in this study would be a good reference for urban drainage system design, which only focuses on pipe conduit.
The study aimed to investigate the influence of perceived patient safety culture on patient safety management activity in the dental hygienists. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 292 dental hygienists in Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggido from March 1 to April 8, 2016. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects (9 items), patient safety culture (44 items), and patient safety management activity (25 items) by Likert 5 point scale. Data were analyzed by t test, one way ANOVA, stepwise multiple regression test, and post-hoc Tukey test using SPSS 18.0 program. Results: The perceived patient safety culture was 3.50 on average. Entire organization was the highest score (3.68) and followed the communication process (3.55), the environment of work unit (3.47), the attitude of supervisor/manager (3.45), and the frequency of events reported (2.98). The average of patient safety management activity was 3.71. As for the factors of patient safety culture on patient safety management activity, communication process was the most influential factor (${\beta}=0.268$), and followed the entire organization (${\beta}=0.265$), the environment of work unit (${\beta} =0.166$), the frequency of events reported (${\beta}=0.104$), and among the control variables. Work place proved to be the only significant variable. Conclusions: In order to promote patient safety management activity of dental institutions, the patient safety culture should be created and established. The influence of communication process and patient safety culture at entire organization level was huge. So the environment of work unit and the perceived patient safety culture in the process of reported events were influencing factors. The strategy for patient safety management activity should be considered because of low level of perceived patient safety culture.
Drought is a water-related natural disaster which can be simply described as spatially and temporally sequential absence of water. However, its characteristics are very difficult to define. For this reason, the preparation and mitigation from drought events have not been successful. In the current study, we illustrated a design drought estimation approach of water resources infrastructures as well as the existing theoretical one to prepare and mitigate drought disasters. Theoretical and simulation methods were tested including three time series models such as autoregressive (AR), Gamma AR, Copula AR models. The results indicated that for South Korea region, the simulation-based method to estimate drought frequency presented better performance and all the three time series models show similar performance to each other. The current drought event occurring in South Korea was investigated with dividing South Korea into four basins as Han River, Nakdong River, Geum River, and Nakdong River basins. The results showed that two middle and north basins presented significant drought events with 3 year drought duration and around 40 year return period while the other two southern regions illustrated relatively weaker drought events.

There is a high confidence based on scientific evidence that climate is changing over time. Now climate change is considered as one of the challenges facing the construction industry. As no project is risk free and climate change has a strong impact on the different phases of the construction project lifecycle. This research aimed at providing a platform of knowledge for the construction management practitioners about the impacts of climate change on the construction projects lifecycle, identify the most dangerous climate change factors on the construction project lifecycle, and identify the most affected phase by climate change factors through the construction projects lifecycle. The study depended on the opinions of civil engineers who have worked in the construction projects field among the reality of Gaza Strip. Questionnaire tool was adopted as the main research methodology in order to achieve the desired objectives. The questionnaire included 127 factors in order to obtain responses from 88 construction practitioners out of 98 representing 89.79% response rate about the influence of climate change on the generic lifecycle of construction projects. The results deduced that the most significant influence on the construction project lifecycle was related to the extreme weather events, rainfall change, and temperature change respectively. There was a general agreement between the respondents that the most affected phase by temperature, rainfall, and extreme weather events is the execution phase. The results also asserted with a high responses scale on the need to alternative procedures and clear strategies in order to face the climate change within construction industry.

In light of SARS-CoV-2's significant impact, human society has experienced rapid changes in lifestyle that it has not yet experienced before. One way this virus has influenced people's lives is the emergence of the zero-contact society, an initiative for preventing the spread of infectious diseases. As can be seen, the social impact of COVID-19 is widespread. Various issues, such as those about government policy, personal information protection, and health care, are affecting society as a whole. At the same time, factual information is difficult to track and record because of the rapid and transient nature of related events and issues. As such, a method of effectively describing COVID-19 and real-time information is necessary. The "COVID-19: Our Memory" project is an attempt to record the sociocultural impact of the coronavirus infection. This project collects major events and issues classified into several subjects, records those events from a neutral point of view, and develops a digital archive so that all records are accessible. All the data collected and built through the project, the application, including the source code and visualization, are all published to bring about new opportunities for collaboration.

Objectives: To evaluate and summarize the efficacy and safety of manual therapy in temporomandibular disorder(TMD). Methods: Ten databases (Pubmed, Cochrane, EMBASE, AMED, CINAHL, CNKI, and four Korean databases) were searched up to March 2017. Pain and range of motion(ROM) of temporomandibular joint were used as the primary outcome measure, and effective rates, dysfunction scale and adverse events were used as secondary outcome measures. The Cochrane risk of bias tool was used to evaluate the methodological quality. Results: 10 randomized controlled trials(RCTs) involving 603 participants were included. There were no significant differences between the two groups in comparison with placebo manual therapy group. In comparison with Wait-list and conventional treatment groups, manual therapy significantly alleviated pain and ROM. Five RCTs(50.0%) reported adverse events and there were no adverse cases by manual therapy. Conclusions: We found evidence that manual therapy may alleviate symptoms of patients with TMD. A positive effect was observed in comparison with conventional treatment and Wait-list, but no conclusion for the comparisons with placebo manual therapy. There is no evidence of worsening symptoms or causing adverse events.
