This study describes how digital time delay deteriorates control performance in zero voltage switching (ZVS) phase-shifted full bridge (PSFB) converter. The small-signal model of the ZVS PSFB converter is derived from the buck-converter small-signal model. Digital time delay effects have been considered according to the digital sampling methods. The analysis verifies that digital time delays reduce the stability margin of the converter, and the double sampling technique exhibits better performance than the single sampling technique. Both simulation and experimental results based on 250 W ZVS PSFB confirm the validity of the analyses performed in the study.
In this paper, as a compatible software radio transmission system, Digital-Radio conversion system which can directly change the digital signal generated by the logic circuit into radio signal is proposed. By the vector synthesis method, the digital signals can change directly into radio signal. If such a circuit is realized, RF circuit and an antenna can be composed by the simple one device, and the radio is directly controlled and performed by the software processing which is the essence of software radio. This Digital-Radio conversion system of this paper give many number of communication channels being offered by PN code and offer a hardware design flexibility by digitization, therefore it decrease the percentage ratio of hardware of system and give a more flexible function of software basis. In this paper, this proposed Digital-Radio conversion system is called D/R converter, and the principle of this D/R converter, radio signal generation algorithm is explained and the performance characteristics of proposed algorithm is shown in time base by the computer simulation method.
A Full-bridge zero-voltage zero-current switching (ZVZCS) converter using transformer auxiliary winding is analyzed. A complete small-signal model for the control scheme is developed. The propoed model is accurate up to half the switching frequency. The dynamic characteristics are compared with those of the zero-voltage switching converter and buck converter. Model predictions are confirmed by experimental measurements.
Previous AC/DC PFC Boost Converter perceives feed forward signal of input and feedback signal of output for average current-mode control. Previous Boost Converter, the quantity of input current will be decreased by the decrease of output current in light load, and also power factor comes to be decreased. Also the efficiency of converter will be decreased by the decrease of power factor. The proposed converter presents the good PFC(Power Factor Correction), low line current hormonic distortions and tight output voltage regulations using non-dissipative snubber. The proposed converter also has a high efficiency by non-dissipative snubber circuit. To show the superiority of this converter is verified through the experiment with a 640W, 100kHz prototype converter.
The active power factor control AC/DC converter needs a current loop compensator to obtain better dynamic characteristics and power factor performance, but the optimal design of a current loop compensator is difficult because the AC/DC converter is a nonlinear system having periodically varying poles and zeros. The predictive current control scheme generates a control input using the dynamic equations of the AC/DC converter so that the dynamic of the AC/DC converter is included in the controller and the necessary bandwidth and the gain characteristics of the current control loop are satisfied. And as a result, a compensator becomes unnecessary and the current loop shows the improved current loop characteristics. In this paper, a power factor controller without current loop compensator by adopting a predictive current control scheme is designed and the designed power factor controller is modelled by using a small signal perturbation modelling technique, and simulated to investigate its small signal characteristics. A 200 W power factor control AC/DC converter is built to verify the effectiveness of the proposed power factor controller.
This paper presents average current-mode control AC/DC ZVT(Zero Voltage Transition) Boost Converter. This boost converter perceives feed forward signal of input and feedback signal of output for average current-mode control proposed converter employs active-clamp method for ZVT. This converter gives the good PFC(Power Factor Correction), low line current hormonic distortions and tight output voltage regulations. This converter also has a high efficiency by active-clamp method. The principle of operation, feature, and design considerations are illustrated and verified through the experiment with a 150W, 120kHz prototype converter.
This paper presents design of interleave configured dc-dc converter for high power distributed power system applications. The multi channel interleaving buck converter with small inductance has proved to be suitable for micro-grid, requiring medium output voltages, high output currents and fast transient response. Integrated magnetic components are used to reduce the size of the converter and improve efficiency. Unlike conventional methods, the distributed approach requires no centralized control, automatically accommodates varying numbers of converter cells, and is highly tolerant of subsystem failures. A general methodology for achieving distributed interleaving is proposed, along with a specific implementation approach. The design and simulation verification of switching frequency 10 kHz system is presented with interleaved clocking of the converter cells. The simulation (simulated by PSIM 6.1) results corroborate the analytical predictions and demonstrate the tremendous benefits of the distributed interleaving approach.
This paper deals with the analysis, design, and implementation of a single phase AC-DC Zeta converter with high frequency transformer isolation and power factor correction(PFC) in two modes of operation, discontinuous current mode of operation(DCM), and continuous current mode of operation(CCM). A Digital Signal Processor(DSP) based implementation is carried out for validation of the Zeta converter developed design in discontinuous mode of operation. A comparison of both modes of operation is presented for a 1kW power rating from the point of view of steady state and dynamic behavior, power quality, simplicity, control technique, device rating, and converter size. The experimental results of a developed prototype of Zeta converter are presented for validation of the developed design. It is observed that CCM is most suitable for higher power applications where it requires some complex control and sensing of the additional variables.
유도된 등가회로는 CCM(Continuous conduction mode) Boost 컨버터와 DCM(Discontinuous conduction mode) Buck 컨버터로 표현된다.
Power converters are widely used in the applications of servo drives of ac and dc motors and power supplies. For the control of the converters carious control algorithms have been proposed and realized by gating signal generation. Software control shemes are being applied to implement the control algorithms, but analog circuits are still used for the gating signal generation because it requires very fast and precise timing. In this paper the gating signal generation with DSP software are proposed for the three phase to three phase PWM converter. Design procedures and software flowcharts are presented and some experimental waveforms are also presented to verify the proposed algorithms.
