  • This paper proposes a new construction method of neural networks. The construction method consists of two fundmental ideas, which are a parallel selection-style evaluation and rules evolution. A new collision avoidance algorithm using genetic and neural network is proposed to avoid moving obstacles such as mobile robots. The input parameters of this algorithm is position of moving obstacles and target. Output is a regenerated direction of mobile robot. This algorithm is very simple and so, it is available to application of real time process. The pattern of collision avoidance is learned through test execution.

  • This paper based on spiral vector, three phase induction motor is described a detailed modeling by a phase segment methode. Based on this model, A torque control and the equation of regenerative power for the induction motor drive, based on the field acceleration method(FAM), is presented. The speed control system is designed to be applied voltage source inverters that is easy the current type feedback of power regeneration for motor drive. The ability of shaving power to be measured power regeneration has been investigated in speed acceleration and reduction. And it is change of stator resistance that the voltage commands include error, the ripple of exited voltage and torque occur from the results. The experimental tests verify the performance of the proposed regenerative drive for FAM, proving that good behavior of the drive is achieved in the transient and steady-state operating conditions.

  • An efficient real-time implementation of digital filtering algorithms using a multiprocessor system in a ring network is investigated. The development time and cost for implementing a high speed signal processing system can be considerably reduced because algorithm are implemented in software using commercially available digital signal processors. This method is based on a parallel block processing approach, where a continuously supplied input data is divided into blocks, and the blocks are processed concurrently by being assigned to each processor in the system. This approach not only requires a simple interconnection network but also reduces the number of communications among the processors very much. The data dependency of the blocks to be processed concurrently brings on dependency problems between the processors in the system. A systematic scheduling method has been developed by using a processors which can be used efficiently, the methods for solving dependency problems between the processors are investigated. Implementation procedures and results for FIR, recursive (IIR), and adaptive filtering algorithms are illustrated.

A New Efficient Impulse Noise Detection based on Rank Estimation

  • In this paper, we present a new impulsive noise detection technique. To remove the impulse noise without detail loss, only corrupted pixels must be filtered. In order to identify the corrupted pixels, a new impulse detector based on rank and value estimations of the current pixel is proposed. Based on the rank and value estimations of the current pixel, the new proposed method provides excellent statistics for detecting an impulse noise while reducing the probability of detecting image details as impulses. The proposed detection is efficient and can be used with any noise removal filter. Simulation results show that the proposed method significantly outperforms many other well-known detection techniques in terms of image restoration and noise detection.

  • This paper proposes a design method of a CDBC(Continuous-time Deadbeat Controller)system that takes into account the response between the sampling instant and using second-order smoothing elements. The continuous deadbeat controller is composed of a serial integral compensator and a local feedback compensator introduced into the state feedback loop. A DC servo motor is chosen for implementing CDBC algorithm. Especially according to the variable input and disturbance, corresponding CDBC design method is suggested. A Matlab Simulink is used for simulation with the Motor parameter. By computer simulations, control inputs and system outputs are shown to have desirable property such as smoothness.

  • 동영상 부호기에서 화면내 프레임 부호화는 전체 프레임의 화질에 중요한 영향을 미친다. 표준화된 동영상의 부호기는 DCT를 쓰지만, 저 비트율에서의 블록화 현상으로 화질의 열화를 가져올 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 화질의 열화를 감소시키고 인간 시각적인 측면에서의 화질 개선을 위한 비디오 코딩을 제안한다. 제한안 방법에서는 웨이브릿 변환에서 인지적 가중치를 화면내 프레임에 적용하여 SPIHT와 VLC를 이용하여 부호화하였고, 인간 시각 특성을 고려하여 시각적인 노이즈를 제거하여 주관적인 화질을 향상 시켰다.

  • This paper presents a signal processing method for calibrating an antenna array to solve the inaccuracy of Direction of Arrival(DOA). Using reference data quantifying amplitude and phase distortion levels for each angles, we compensate each radar array’s amplitude and phase distortion. The proposed method is applied to the Bartlett, Capon and MUSIC algorithms, Using 77 GHz Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave(FMCW) Long Range Radar(LRR) signal, we experimentally demonstrate the performance improvement after the proposed compensation.

  • ATM 트래픽 제어를 위해서 효과적인 호 수락 제어 방법이 필요하다. 이것은 호 수락 과정에서 서로 다른 종류의 서비스들에 대해서 높은 이용률과 공정성을 제공하여야 한다. 전체 대역공유 법은 대역폭 이용률 측면에서는 효율적이지만 호 수락의 공정성 측면에서는 비효율적이다. 전체 대역 분할 할당 법은 공정성 측면에서는 효율적이지만 대역폭 이용률 측면에서는 비효율적이다. 본 논문에서는 호 수락의 공정성과 대역폭 이용률을 높이기 위하여 링크에 문턱 값을 적용한 새로운 CST(Complete Sharing with Threshold) 알고리즘을 제안하였다.

Panoramic Image Stitching using SURF

  • This paper proposes a new method to process panoramic image stitching using SURF(Speeded Up Robust Features). Panoramic image stitching is considered a problem of the correspondence matching. In computer vision, it is difficult to find corresponding points in variable environment where a scale, rotation, view point and illumination are changed. However, SURF algorithm have been widely used to solve the problem of the correspondence matching because it is faster than SIFT(Scale Invariant Feature Transform). In this work, we also describe an efficient approach to decreasing computation time through the homography estimation using RANSAC(random sample consensus). RANSAC is a robust estimation procedure that uses a minimal set of randomly sampled correspondences to estimate image transformation parameters. Experimental results show that our method is robust to rotation, zoom, Gaussian noise and illumination change of the input images and computation time is greatly reduced.

  • An Intelligent active roll angle controller design algorithm is discussed. The detailed mathematical formulation and analysis are discussed, and then modeling and design method for active roll angle controller are presented. This paper proposes a design method based upon intelligent robust controller design algorithm to control actively roll angle for improving cornering performance problems. The intelligent robust controller is designed for steady speed driving vehicle system model with representation of steering angle and yaw angular velocity parameters for cornering stability. And the detailed formulation and analysis for the objective vehicle system are investigated.
