  • Deaf are it is difficult to communicate to represent the voice heard, so theay use mostly using the speech, sign language, writing, etc. to communicate. It is the best way to use sign language, in order to communicate deaf and normal people each other. But they must understand to use sign language. In this paper, we designed and implementated finger language translation system to support communicate between deaf and normal people. We used leap motion as input device that can track finger and hand gesture. We used raspberry pi that is low power sing board computer to process input data and translate finger language. We implemented application used Node.js and MongoDB. The client application complied with HTML5 so that can be support any smart device with web browser.

  • For "generic" multivariate public key cryptography (MPKC) systems, experts believe that the Unbalanced Oil-Vinegar (UOV) scheme is a feasible signature scheme with good efficiency and acceptable security. In this paper, we address two problems that are to find inversion solution of quadratic multivariate equations and find another structure with some random Oil-Oil terms for UOV, then propose a novel signature scheme based on hyper-sphere (HS-Sign for short) which directly answers these two problems. HS-Sign is characterized by its adding Oil-Oil terms and more advantages compared to UOV. On the one side, HS-Sign is based on a new inversion algorithm from hyper-sphere over finite field, and is shown to be a more secure UOV-like scheme. More precisely, according to the security analysis, HS-Sign achieves higher security level, so that it has larger security parameters choice ranges. On the other side, HS-Sign is beneficial from both the key side and computing complexity under the same security level compared to many baseline schemes. To further support our view, we have implemented 5 different attack experiments for the security analysis and we make comparison of our new scheme and the baseline schemes with simulation programs so as to show the efficiencies. The results show that HS-Sign has exponential attack complexity and HS-Sign is competitive with other signature schemes in terms of the length of the message, length of the signature, size of the public key, size of the secret key, signing time and verification time.

  • Road signs provide important safety information about road and traffic conditions to drivers. Road signs include not only common traffic signs but also warning information regarding unexpected obstacles and road constructions. Therefore, accurate detection and identification of road signs is one of the most important research topics related to safe driving. In this paper, we propose a 3-D vision technique to automatically detect and track road signs in a video sequence which is acquired from a stereo vision camera mounted on a vehicle. First, color information is used to initially detect the sign candidates. Second, the SVM (Support Vector Machine) is employed to determine true signs from the candidates. Once a road sign is detected in a video frame, it is continuously tracked from the next frame until it is disappeared. The 2-D position of a detected sign in the next frame is predicted by the 3-D motion of the vehicle. Here, the 3-D vehicle motion is acquired by using the 3-D pose information of the detected sign. Finally, the predicted 2-D position is corrected by template-matching of the scaled template of the detected sign within a window area around the predicted position. Experimental results show that the proposed method can detect and track many types of road signs successfully. Tracking comparisons with two different methods are shown.

  • In this paper, we present a patient real-time vital sign information transmission system to effectively support developing real-time communication service by using a real-time object model named TMO (Time-Triggered Message-Triggered Object). Also, we describe the application environment as the ICU(Intensive Care Unit) to guarantee real-time service message with TMO structure in distributed network systems. We have to design to obtain useful vital sign information, which is generated at parsing data receiver modulor of HIS with TMO structure, that is offered by the central monitor. Vital sign informations of central monitor is composed of the raw data of several bedsite patient monitors. We are willing to maintain vital sign information of real time and continuity that is generated from the bedsite patient monitor. It is able to apply to remote medical examination and treatment. we proposed integration method between a vital sign database systems and hospital information systems. In the real time simulation techniques based on TMO object modeling, We have observed several advantages to the TMO structuring scheme. TMO object modeling has a strong traceability between requirement specification and design.

  • Important factor in designing a breakaway sign support is the velocity change of the impact vehicle. It is measured from the crash test or can be calculated by 3-D Finite Element Analysis. It can also be calculated with relative ease utilizing energy and momentum conservation. In this paper a formula to calculate the velocity change of a car during the time of impact against a small sign is derived utilizing the energy and momentum balance. Using the formula, parametric studies were conducted to find that impact speed, separation force and Breakaway Fracture Energy(BFE) of the posts which represent the degree of fixedness to the foundation are the important factor to vehicle's speed change. It is shown that speed change is larger in the lower speed impact and to the posts with large separation force and BFE.

  • Gradient-type algorithms for adaptive IIR notch filters are very attractive in terms of both performances and computational requirements. Generally, it is quite difficult to assess their performances analytically. There have been several trials to analyze such adaptive algorithms as the sign and the plain gradient algorithms for some types of adaptive IIR notch filters, but many of them still remain unexplored. Furthermore, analysis techniques used in those trials can not be directly applied to different types of adaptive IIR notch filters. This paper presents a detailed performance analysis of the sign algorithm for a well-known adaptive IIR notch filter with constrained poles and zeros, which can not be done by just applying the related existing analysis techniques, and therefore has not been attempted yet. The steady-state estimation error and mean square error (MSE) of the algorithm are derived in closed forms. Stability bounds of the algorithm are also assessed. extensive simulations are conducted to support the analytical findings.

  • The design requirement for ground mounted sign structures are fairly well defined in the AASHTO Standard Specifications for Structural Supports for Highway Signs, Luminaries, and Traffic Signals and consists of applying an equivalent pseudo-dynamic loading to account for the dynamic effects of wind loads and ignores the dynamic effect due to moving vehicle loads. This design approach, however, should not be applied to the design of bridge mounted sign structures because ignoring the dynamic effects of the moving vehicle loads may produce non-conservative results, since the stiffness of the bridge structure can greatly influence the behavior. Not enough information is available in the literatures which provide guide lines to include the influence of moving vehicles in the design of the bridge mounted sign structures. This paper describes a theoretical methodology, Bridge-Vehicle Interaction Element, which can be utilized to account for the dynamic effect of moving vehicles. A case study is also included where this methodology was successfully applied. It was concluded that the bridge-vehicle interaction finite element developed can provide a more accurate representation of the behavior of bridge mounted sign structures. The result of these analysis enabled development of simple and effective retrofitting scheme for the existing support system of bridge-mounted-structure.
