  • The present study used one of research techniques which is eye gaze tracking for neuromarketing. When pupil's size of men dilated over than three sigma (0.135%), the interest and eye movement in observation were measured. According to statistical analysis of previous studies, three sigma range is meaningful therefore sigma range was used as operational definition because 'pupil dilatation' is difficult to be define in eye gaze tracking data. Pictures of basketball games were selected as visual stimuli and 90% effective ratio of total 7,200 data were calculated. Thus, 29 of 34 participants were used for test. Pupil's size was calculated by applying pupil's width and height into a formular; [Pupil's size = Pupil width/2${\times}$Pupil height/$2{\times}{\pi}$]. In conclusion, billboard utilized for sports marketing had meaningless effects because gaze frequency to basketball player and surrounding environment was higher than that to billboard when participantsas game spectators diltaed their pupil's size over than three sigma. Thus, it was required using new marketing strategies like neuromarketing to increase utility through the present study.

  • Products and/or services should be objectively verified in terms of the technological and use-conditional considerations before entering a market. Every organization or company tries to find the better procedure and method for checking the core needs of customers based on their experience in the market and looks for continuous ways to evaluate the power of products and services(PoP). They also prefer the overall evaluation of indices that could reflect various customer needs, rather than a separate evaluation index for each characteristic of the product or service. S. Ko (2008) proposes a Multi-characteristics Sigma Level(MSL) that can simultaneously evaluate many characteristics of a product or service. In this research, using MSL and a new Blue Ocean Index(BOI), an application of NPS, mobile phone field test is considered from a practical and statistical point of view.

  • A DNA fragment from an alkali-tolerent Bacillus sp., conferring strong promoter activity, was subcloned into the promoter probe plasmid pPL703 and the nucleotide sequence of this promoter region was determined. The sequence analysis suggested that this highly efficient promoter region containing the complex clustered promoters comprised three kinds of promoters (P1, P2 and P3), which are transcribed by $\sigma^B (formerly \sigma^{37}), \sigma^E(formerly \sigma^{29}) and \sigma^A (formerly \sigma^{43})$ RNA polymerase holoenzymes which play major rules at the onset of endospore formation, during sporulation and at the vegetative phase of growth, respectively. S1 nuclease mapping experiments showed that all three promoters had staggered transcription initiation points. The results of chloramphenicol acetyltransferase assay after the subcloning experiments also indicated that the expression of these clustered promoters was correlated with the programs of growth and endospore development. Promoter P1, P2 and P3 were preceded by 75% AT, 79% AT and 81% AT regions, respectively, and a partial deletion of AT-rich region prevented transcription from promoter P1 in vivo. Two sets of 5 -AGTGTT-3 sequences and inverted repeat sequences located around the promoter P1 were speculated as the possible cis acting sites for the catabolite repression in B. subtilis. In vivo transcripts from these sequence regions may be able to form a secondary structure, however, the possibility that a regulatory protein induced by the excess amount of glucose could be bound to such a domain for crucial action remains to be determined.

  • This paper presents a CMOS readout circuit for MEMS(Micro Electro Mechanical System) acceleration sensors. It consists of a MEMS accelerometer, a capacitance to voltage converter(CVC) and a second-order switched-capacitor ${\Sigma}{\Delta}$ modulator. Correlated-double-sampling(CDS) and chopper-stabilization(CHS) techniques are used in the CVC and ${\Sigma}{\Delta}$ modulator to reduce the low-frequency noise and DC offset. The sensitivity of the designed CVC is 150mV/g and its non-linearity is 0.15%. The duty cycle of the designed ${\Sigma}{\Delta}$ modulator output increases about 10% when the input voltage amplitude increases by 100mV, and the modulator's non-linearity is 0.45%. The total sensitivity is 150mV/g and the power consumption is 5.6mW. The proposed circuit is designed in a 0.35um CMOS process with a supply voltage of 3.3V and a operating frequency of 2MHz. The size of the designed chip including PADs is $0.96mm{\times}0.85mm$.

  • This study was carried out to investigate the influence of variations in the temperature and time of isothermal heat treatment, applied stresses and prestrain on the isothermal transformation behavior of ${\gamma}$ and ${\sigma}$ phases and mechanical properties of 25Cr-7Ni-3Mo duplex stainless steel. The precipitation of ${\gamma}$ and ${\sigma}$ phases through isothermal heat treatment showed the type curves with a certain incubation period, the curve migrated to in a short period of time and the amount of precipitation increased with decreasing isothermal heat treatment temperature. Under the state of isothermal transformation, the precipitation of ${\gamma}$ and ${\sigma}$ phases was stimulated by applied stress, with increasing applied stress, the curves migrated to in a short period of time and also observed that the application of stress has a greater influence on the amount of ${\sigma}$ precipitation than that of ${\gamma}$ precipitation. The precipitation of ${\gamma}$ and ${\sigma}$ phases was stimulated by cold and warm rolling before isothermal heat treatment and precipitation of ${\gamma}$ and ${\sigma}$ phases has a greater influence on the warm rolling than cold rolling. The tensile strength and hardness increased with increasing cold and warm rooling reduction ratio.

  • We collected data of hydraulic fracturing tests and overcoring tests conducted in 84 boreholes in the south-east Korea in order to analyze the contemporary state of stress in this region. The average direction of the maximum horizontal stress was determined to be $N66^{\circ}{\pm}31^{\circ}E$. The relative magnitudes of the three principal stresses was ${\sigma}_v$ (vertical stress) < ${\sigma}_h$ (minimum horizontal stress) < ${\sigma}_H$ (maximum horizontal stress), indicating thrust fault stress regime. The stress ratio K (horizontal stress/vertical stress) was relatively high (2.2

  • While six sigma project management systems have been widely used as a knowledge management systems, no one has proposed an empirical explanation for impacts of project management systems on project performance. This study proposes a structural equation model of the project management system that relates learning/growth, internal growth, customer performance, and financial effects based on six sigma project performance. The relationships are investigated using data collected from a sample of green and black belts. The results indicate that there are a causal relationship with use of project management and learning/growth and internal process, internal process and customer performance, and customer and financial performance. However, there is no relationship between internal process and financial effects. The results suggest that six sigma project system could effectively be implemented as a knowledge management system to improve six sigma performance of green an black belts. This study also compares index of SEM's model fit of research model and that of alternative models for further analysis. The result shows that index of research model of index is better than that of alternative model.

  • Let (X, J) be a closed, connected almost complex four-manifold. Let $X_1$ be the complement of an open disc in X and let ${\varepsilon}_1$be the contact structure on the boundary ${\varepsilon}X_1$ which is compatible with a symplectic structure on $X_1$, Then we show that (X, J) is symplectic if and only if the contact structure ${\varepsilon}_1$ on ${\varepsilon}X_1$ is isomorphic to the standard contact structure on the 3-sphere $S^3$ and ${\varepsilon}X_1$is J-concave. Also we show that there is a contact structure ${\varepsilon}_0\ on\ S^2\times\ S^1$which is not strongly symplectically fillable but symplectically fillable, and that $(S^2{\times}S^1,\;{\varepsilon})$ has infinitely many non-diffeomorphic minimal fillings whose restrictions on$\S^2\times\ S^1$are ${\sigma}$ where ${\sigma}$ is the restriction of the standard symplectic structure on $S^2{\times}D^2$.

  • Thermoelectric materials can convert directly waste heat to electricity and vice versa. The improvement of the thermoelectric efficiency strongly depends on the dimensionless figure of merit, $ZT=S^2{\sigma}T/{\kappa}$, where S is the Seebeck coefficient, ${\sigma}$ is the electrical conductivity, T is the absolute temperature, and ${\kappa}$ is the thermal conductivity. The thermal conductivity consists of the electronic contribution (${\kappa}_e$) and phonon contribution (${\kappa}_{ph}$). It is very challenge to increase the power factor, $S^2{\sigma}$ and to reduce the thermal conductivity simultaneously because the power factor and electronic thermal conductivity are coupled. One strategy is to decrease the phonon thermal conductivity. The phonon thermal conductivity can be decreased by controlling the grain size and structural defects such as dislocations and twinning. In order to achieve enhancements in thermoelectric efficiency, microstructures that can form numerous interfaces have been investigated intensively for controlling the transport of charge carriers and heat carrying phonons. In this presentation, we report the heterogeneous microstructure of $Mg_2Si_{0.6}Sn_{0.4}$ thermoelectric materials and investigation of its influence on thermoelectric properties.
