STABILITY FOR A VISCOELASTIC PLATE EQUATION WITH p-LAPLACIAN

  • In this paper, we consider a viscoelastic plate equation with p-Laplacian $u^{{\prime}{\prime}}+{\Delta}^2u-div({\mid}{\nabla}u{\mid}^{p-2}{\nabla}u)+{\sigma}(t){\int}_{0}^{t}g(t-s){\Delta}u(s)ds-{\Delta}u^{\prime}=0$. By introducing suitable energy and Lyapunov functionals, we establish a general decay estimate for the energy, which depends on the behavior of both ${\sigma}$ and g.

  • We prove that if a real hypersurface with constant mean curvature of a complex space form satisfying ▽$_{ξ/}$S = 0 and Sξ = $\sigma$ξ for a smooth function $\sigma$, then the structure vector field ξ is principal, where S denotes the Ricci tensor of the hypersurface.

  • Purpose: Existing precedent studies include success factors of individual management innovation activities constantly. However, those studies have limitations about the common key success factors of individual management innovation activities. Methods: For this study, we investigate the key success factors using literature research of the most typical management innovation activities adopted and implemented by many companies in Korea, such as 6sigma, TQM, Lean 6sigma, ERP, TPM, BPR, Project Management, System Engineering. Factors emerging repeatedly was combined into common factors and inherent factors that are necessary for the success of individual management innovation activities are designated to essential factors. Results: 'Essential factors for Six Sigma' consist of 5 items. Black belt operating system, personnel management system linkage, the correct management of the data, perform improvement projects associated with financial performance financial result, linked to financial performance improvement project, project progress management. 'Essential factors of TQM' are arranged 4 items. Quality team's independence and role, goal-setting, Quality Information System, corporate's philosophy of quality first. 'Essential factors of Lean Six Sigma' are the selection of value stream which is based on the customer needs and the value creation and identify the project based on the selected value in the company. 'Essential factors of ERP' are investigated 6 items. Ongoing system maintenance and upgrades, the measurement and support of user satisfaction, the operating systems and the policies for the maintenance, IT infrastructure, change adaption condition monitoring, focusing on improving business performance. 'Essential factors for TPM' are arranged 4 items. Motivated and energetic Bottom-Up, CEO's recognition of the importance facility management, long-term perspective of necessity and ongoing patience. 'Essential factors for BPR' are the pursuit of change process and the staff's sense of crisis management. 'Essential factors for Project Management' are the strategy that reduce the risk management skills through risk management and the understanding and organized management for the project participant's needs. 'Essential factors for System Engineering' consist of 2 items. The first is the design for the best balanced system with pre-analysis about the compromise the cost, schedule and the performance. The second is the analysis of large problem into small problems which can solved. We have found the solution considering components of the interface through the systematic perspective. Conclusion: Common factors and essential factors presented in this study will properly help to introduce the individual management innovation activities for the each business sector and implement management innovation. After this study, new literature research that reflect new studies should accomplish steadily.

Prediction of Tropospheric Amplitude Scintillation on Earth-Space Paths with High-Elevation Angle

  • This paper presents the studies on prediction models of tropospheric scintillation. The prediction scintillation models are Karasawa and ITU-R , which can be improved for different locations and circumstances. In this paper, the investigation of average time between variance ${\sigma}_n\;^2$ and the wet part of refractivity $N_{wet}$ under various conditions of meteorological parameters have been carried out at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Lankrabang , Bangkok , Thailand , in the range of Ku-band (12.260 GHz) on high elevation angle from Thaicom2 satellite. From the studies results shows that average period of time of 30 days are best suitable for find out the relation between average time variance ${\sigma}_n\;^2$ and the wet part of refractivity $N_{wet}$ according to Karasawa model, the average time variance is express as ${\sigma}_n\;^2=(0.003N_{wet}-0.1313)^2$ , the appropriation model for occurrence of scintillation has been analyzed and experimental results are carried out.

Relationship of Pupil's Size and Gaze Frequency for Neuro Sports Marketing: Focusing on Sigma Analysis (뉴로 스포츠 마케팅을 위한 동공 확장과 주시빈도 간의 관계: 시그마 분석법을 적용하여)

  • In order to verify the effectiveness of marketing in the basketball stadium, this study measured and analyzed the gaze frequency and interest when the pupil was expanded by using the eye-tracking technology among various neuro marketing techniques of marketing. To analyze the section where the pupil size get expanded, interval of pupil size was higher than 2.275% (2 sigma data) and higher than 0.135% high (3 sigma data). Overall the valid data was analyzed by inflection points according to gaze frequency. We also analyzed the correlation between overall valid data and the ranges where the pupil size was significantly increased. The result showed that the correlation between overall valid data and pupil size 2 sigma data showed the highest correlation with 0.805. The pupil size 2 sigma data and pupil size 3 sigma data showed a correlation with 0.781, overall the valid data and pupil size 2 sigma data showed a correlation with 0.683. Therefore, it is concluded that, the section where the pupil size was expanded and the section at which gaze frequency is higher in the eye-tracking data were similar. However, the correlation between data of pupil size is determined to be significantly expanded and overall the valid data is decreased.

단일 나노선의 열전물성 측정용 열전 MEMS 플랫폼 개발

  • 열전재료는 제백효과(Seebeck effect)에 의해 폐열을 전기에너지로 변환시킬 수 있는 소재로서, 기존의 열전재료가 나노수준으로 크기가 줄어들 경우 양자제한효과에 의한 제백계수의 증가와 표면산란에 의한 열전도도 감소로 인해 벌크재료에 비해 높은 에너지변환효율을 가질 수 있을 것으로 기대되고 있다. 에너지 변환효율은 열전성능계수인 $ZT=S2{\sigma}T/k$로 정의되며 따라서 우수한 열전재료는 높은 제백계수 S와, 높은 전기전도도 ${\sigma}$ 및 낮은 열전도도 k를 갖는 재료여야 한다. 그러나 나노소재는 낮은 측정 신호와 측정소자준비가 어려워 기존 측정시스템으로는 원활한 측정이 어렵다. 특히 열전도도의 경우 나노소재 자체의 열전도 보다 나노소재 주변 구조에 의한 열전도가 큰 경우 정확한 열전도도 평가가 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 나노선의 열전물성을 평가하기 위해 MEMS기반 기술을 이용하여 열전물성 측정플랫폼(MEMS-based thermoelectric measurement platform, MTMP)을 개발하였다. 개발 된 MTMP는 얇은 Si nitride 브릿지들이 허공에 떠 있는 두 개의 아일랜드 형태의 멤브레인 구조를 지지하는 형태로 제작되었으며, 한 쪽 아일랜드구조 위에는 나노히터가 있어 두 아일랜드 구조 사이에 온도구배를 만들 수 있도록 제작되었다. 제작된 멤브레인을 이용하여 전기화학적인 방법으로 합성한 Bi-Te계 나노선의 S, ${\sigma}$ 그리고 k를 측정하였다. 측정결과 화학양론적 미세구조를 갖는 단결정 Bi2Te3 나노선은 300 K의 측정온도에서 $S=-57{\mu}V/K$, ${\sigma}=3.9{\times}10^5S/m$, k=2.0 W/m-K의 측정 값으로 ZT=0.19였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 MTMP는 나노선 뿐만 아니라 나노플레이트의 열전 측정에도 활용할 수 있는 구조로서 나노열전소재 측정에 널리 활용될 수 있다.

Kinetic Studies on the Reaction of Benzyl m-Nitrobenzenesulfonate with N,N-Dimethylanilines (벤질 m-술폰산니트로벤젠과 N,N-디메틸아닐린類와의 反應에 關한 反應速度論的 硏究)

  • The kinetics of the reaction of benzyl m-nitrobenzenesulfonate with m-and p-substituted N,N-dimethylanilines in acetone have been investigated by an electric conductivity method. The effects of substituents on the reactivity of N,N-dimethylaniline and the existence of linear free energy relationship were discussed. The rate constants k were in the range 2.55∼487 $10^{-4}l{\cdot}mol^{-l}{\cdot}sec^{-1} (35^{\circ}C)$ and increased with the electron donating ability of substituents. In the present reaction, the Hammett plot was correlated with ${\sigma}$ substituent constant, especially using the new ${\sigma}$ value of 0.35 in p-MeO and it's ${\rho}$ value was found to be -1.37. r value for the reaction was very large than the value obtained in the reaction of benzyl bromide. $Br{\"{o}}nsted$ linear relationship was shown between rate constant and basicites except for p-MeO resulted from solvent effect. From the Bronsted plot, this reaction was suggested that the cleavage of the C${\cdot}{\cdot}{\cdot}$O bond in the $S_N2$ transition state proceed the bond formation.

Theoretical Studies on Orbital Interactions and Conformation of ${\alpha}$-Substituted Acetones (${\alpha}$-치환 아세톤의 궤도간 상호작용과 형태에 관한 이론적 연구)

  • MNDO and STO-3G calculations were performed to determine relative stabilities of rotamers for ${\alpha}$-substituted acetones, $CH_2XCOCH_3$, X = F, Cl, OH, SH, and $NH_2$. It was found that rotamers corresponding to gauche forms are preferred for all the ${\alpha}$-substituents except for X = F and NH$_2$, for which the cis forms were the preferred ones. The stability of gauche form was dictated by the stabilizing two-orbital-two-electron interaction ${\sigma}_{cx}$-${\pi}_{co}^*$, operating uniquely in the gauche form due to the substantial vicinal overlap and energy gap narrowing between ${\sigma}_{cx}$ and ${\pi}_{co}^*$ orbitals. The energy gap narrowing was caused by the lowering of ${\pi}_{co}^*$ level due to the hyperconjugative ${\sigma}_{cx}^*$-${\pi}_{co}^*$ interactions; the red shift in the n-${\pi}^*$ transition was another effect of the relatively large ${\sigma}_{cx}^*$-${\pi}_{co}^*$ splitting. Various ${\sigma}-{\pi}$ interactions in the gauche form were found to be stronger in the third-row hetero atom system, X = Cl and SH. Interactions between nonbonding orbital on N, $n_N$ and vicinal C-C ${\sigma}$ bond were shown to be stronger in the trans than in the cis orientation.

Defect Structure and Electrical Conduction Mechanism of Yttrium Sesquioxide (산화이트륨의 결함구조 및 전기전도 메카니즘)

  • The electrical conductivity of p-type yttrium sesquioxide has been measured as a function of temperature and of oxygen partial pressure at temperatures from 650 to 1050$^{\circ}C$C and oxygen partial pressures from $1 {\times}10^{-5}\;to\;2{\times}10^{-1}$atm. Plots of log conductivity vs. 1/T at constant oxygen partial pressures are found to be linear with low-and high-temperature dependences of conductivity. The high-temperature dependence of conductivity shows two different defect structures. The plots of log conductivity vs. log $Po_2$ are found to be linear at $Po_2$'s of $10^{-5}\;to\;10^{-1}$ atm. The electrical conductivity dependences on $Po_2$ are found to be ${{\sigma}{\propto}Po_2}^{1/6}$at $850{\sim}950^{\circ}C,\;{{\sigma}{\propto}Po_2}^{3/16}$ at $950{\sim}1050^{\circ}C\;and\;{{\sigma}{\propto}Po_2}^{1/7.5}{\sim}{{\sigma}{\propto}Po_2}^{1/8.3}\;at\;650{\sim}800^{\circ}C$, respectively. The defect structures are$O_i{''}$ at $850{\sim}950^{\circ}C$ and $V_M{'''}$ at $950{\sim}1050^{\circ}C$. The electron hole is main carrier type, however, ionic contribution is found at lower temperature portion.
