  • There are hundreds of ship blocks which are under the block assembly, painting, and outfitting assembly works in the pre-erection shops of shipyard. Generally, each block is planned to be processed in a pre-erection shop according to the block type by the long-term production-scheduling before six months. However, many blocks can't be processed in the planned time and the planned shop since the before and after block-processing changes or delays the planned sequential works in pre-erection shops. Therefore, it is essential to monitor the current location of each block and work in process to cope with the changed situation of pre-erection shops. Present study integrates PDA, GPS, and CDMA not only to chase the location of each block but also to exchange the pre-erection work order and the work report between the production-scheduling server and the production managers in the pre-erection shops. This study shows a prototype for the block tracing and process monitoring in the pre-erection shops.

  • Purpose: This study aims to investigate the relationship between ESG activities (Environment, Social, Governance) of coffee shops and their brand image, purchase intention. Research design, data and methodology: To test the hypothesis, a survey was conducted for about one month from May to June, 2021, and a total of 311 people responded to the survey, and the responses from 311 copies were used for the analysis. Validity and reliability analysis were performed, and the relationship between latent variables was empirically analyzed using the structural equation modelling. Results: The results of the study are as follows. First, among the ESG activities of coffee shops, the environmental and social sectors had a significant positive (+) effect on the brand image, but the governance aspect showed no significant effect on the brand image. Second, it was found that the symbolic image and the empirical image had a significant positive (+) effect on the purchase intention, but the functional image did not have a significant effect on the purchase intention. Conclusions: The results of this study suggest that as the number of coffee shops and the heated competition are increasing, it is possible to build a differentiated brand image through ESG activities rather than relying on the functions and services of competing products.

Excluding 2 copies with insincere responses, 461 copies were used for analysis. The data were analyzed with SPSS 25.0 and SamrtPLS 4.0. Result: Product, price, promotion, people, and physical evidence influence perceived value, but place and process didn't. Product, process, and physical evidence influence reputation, but price, location, promotion, and people didn't. Perceived value influences revisit intention but did not reputation. Reputation influences revisit intention. Conclusions: First, beauty shops must develop beauty services that can satisfy customers' needs. • This paper deals with two shops dealing with single perishable product the fresh items are sold at a list price in the primary shop and the unsold items that have reached a certain allowed age are transferred to the secondary shop to be sold at a discounted price. It is assumed that the demand rates in two shops are Independent each other and can be expressed as a function of inventory level and price. With the objective of maximizing the profit under a Last-In-first-Out. (LIFO) issuing policy, we develop mathematical models for the following two cases : (1) opening primary shop only and (2) opening both primary shop and secondary shop. There are three decision variables, i.e., the reduced price in the secondary shop, the allowed age at the primary shop, and the order quantities at the primary shop. A solution procedure is developed based on tabu search and its validity is illustrated through a comparative study.

  • This study aims to find what attributes of consumer satisfaction are more important when consumers choose coffee shops. Factors when customers choose coffee shops that are considered to be more crucial, such as taste, price, brand, and atmosphere, were tested and also relations between satisfaction and revisit were studied. As a result, factors as 'taste', 'price', 'brand', and 'atmosphere' were found to significantly affect satisfaction; in addition, the path that satisfaction leads to revisit was found to be significant. However, consumers' coffee shop selection attributes differed depending on their psychological consumption value. The path-coefficients from taste and price to satisfaction were more significant in the function-oriented group, meanwhile the path-coefficient from brand to satisfaction was significant in the emotion-oriented group (+) and the function-oriented group (-). The results of this study suggest attributes of selecting coffee shops and provide meaningful implications of consumer value when they choose the attributes.

  • The internet-based electronic commerce is considered as a new strategic alternative to boost competitiveness for small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs). However, very little research about them has been reported. Meanwhile, the cyber shopping shops in Korea are growing rapidly in their numbers, scales, and diversity of business models. The primary purpose of this study is to investigate the factors influencing outsourcing decisions in the implementation of small and medium-sized cyber shopping shops. Based on the previous studies on IS outsourcing, marketing channel, and their related theories, three areas of determinants(IT & organizational, product, marketing channel characteristics) were identified. Responses of 125 cyber shopping shops from e-mail survey indicate that IT capability, technical specificity of shop implementation, degree of product customization, average amount of order, marketing capability are negatively associated with outsourcing of cyber shopping shop implementation. The results also indicate that the outsourcing decision on systems implementation and marketing channel selection(direct/indirect selling) is performed separately.

A total of 113 consumers participated in experiments with photo stimuli of 2 mannequin types (realistic and semi-abstract mannequins) and 4 brand shops of women's casual wear. In results, luxurious, chic, strong, sexy, and young images were more strongly perceived from realistic mannequins than semi-abstract mannequins whereas simple and soft images were more strongly perceived from semi-abstract mannequins than realistic mannequins. Shops using realistic mannequins indicated strong images whereas shops using semi-abstract mannequins presented soft, comfortable, and feminine images. In the correlation analysis, luxurious, chic, strong, and young images of realistic mannequins were consistent with shop images using realistic mannequins. Also, luxurious, chic, soft, comfortable, and feminine images of semi-abstract mannequins were consistent with shop images using semi-abstract mannequins. In order to clearly communicate brand concepts with consumers, mannequin that is a key element of visual merchandising in the apparel shop, should be carefully selected, considering the accordance with shop image.
