상토의 물리.화학성이 시설하우스 묘삼의 생육에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Various Substrates on the Growth and Yield of Organically Grown Ginseng Seedlings in the Shaded Plastic House)

  • This research was conducted to investigate the influence of variouis organic substrates on growth and yield of organically grown ginseng seedlings in a shaded plastic house. In the investigation of optimal substrate, the eight substrate were formulated by adjusting blending rate of peatmoss, perlite, coir dust(coco peat), and vermiculite. Then, the changes in physico chemical properties of root substrates as well as their influences on the growth characteristics and yield were determined at six months after sowing. The elevation of the blending rate of peatmoss from 50% to 70% with decrease in the rate of inorganic component (mixture of perlite and vermiculite) from 50 to 30% resulted in the increase in container capacities and decrease in total porosities and air-filled capacities. The concentrations of $NH_4-N$, $P_2O_5$ and K increased as the incorporation rate of castor seed meal, phosphate ore, and langbenite, respectively, were elevated during the root medium formulations. The PPV-1 and PPV-4 substrates produced high stem length, stem diameter, shoot fresh weight, leaf area and root length among eight substrate. Root fresh weight was heaviest in PPV-4 compound nursery media. The results of this experiment will be utilized in the new substrate application for ginseng organic culture in shaded vinyl house.

  • 모시풀 재배에 있어서의 적정 시비량을 알고자 휴지재식 초년부터 성원이된 4년째까지 시험조사한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 모시풀의 경신장에는 비료 3요소중 질소, 칼리의 증시효과가 컸고, 석회도 경신장에 크게 작용하는 것으로 생각되었다. 2. 기준시비량 $P_2O_5$-$K_2$O=9-3-9kg/10a에 비하여 질소는 2~3배, 칼리는 2배비 시용에서 수량이 증대되었고, 그 중 10a당 질소 18kg, 인산 3kg, 칼리 18kg와 석회 200kg 시용의 경우 가장 유효경 비율도 높았으며 조섬유 수량에서도 33% 증수되었다.

  • The design of this field experiment was a completely randomized block arrangement, consisted of 16 treatments (Gliricidia sepium provenances) and 6 blocks as replications with 12 plants per provenance. Of the 16 gliricidia provenances, six were from Mexico (M), four were from Guatemala (G), and one each was from Colombia (C), Indonesia (I), Nicaragua (N), panama (P), Costa Rica (R), and Venezuela (V). After 12 months establishment the gliricidia were lopped regularly 4 times a year, twice during the 4 months wet season and twice during the 8 months dry season at 150 cm height. There was variation (p < 0.05) in stem elongation from 22 to 80 cm, leaf retained from 118 to 209%, branch number from 13 to 24, fodder yield from 1,015 to 1,671 g DW/plant and wood yield from 792 to 1,662 g DW/plant among the provenances; and such variations were affected by the seasons. Belen (N14), Retalhuleu (G14) and Bukit Bali (I) provenances were ranked first, second and third, respectively, measured in terms of leaf retention, stem elongation, fodder and wood yields during the wet and dry seasons.

하수오니 첨가토양이 Orchardgrass 유식물체의 생육에 미치는 영향 (The effect of sewage sludge compost amended soils on the growth of Orchardgrass seedlings)

  • 하수오니를 첨기한 토양에서 Orchardgrass 유식물체의 생육과 토양의 이화학적 성질의 변화에 미치는 영향을 조사하였고, 식물체 부위에 집적된 중금속의 농도와 토양 잔류 중금속 농도를 분석하여 유기질 비료자원으로서 하수오니의 이용가능성을 검토하였다. Orchardgrass 유식물체의 생물학적 수량은 하수오니의 혼합비율이 높아짐에 따라서 증가되었고, 하수오니의 혼합비율이 높아짐에 따라서 토양의 이화학적 성질이 크게 개선되었다. Orchardgrass 유식물체는 개체당 경수와 1경중의 증가에 의하여 지상부 건물중이 증가되었고, 지상부 건물중의 증가에 의하여 생물학적 수량이 많아졌다. 식물체내의 전질소량과 생물학적 수량과는 2차곡선적인 증가경향을 나타내어, 하수오니중의 전질소량이 식물체의 생육에 미치는 영향이 컸다. 중금속의 종류에 따라서 식물체내에 집적되는 부위가 달라졌으며, 토양 잔류 중금속중에서 납(Pb)은 하수오니 60% 이상의 혼합비율에서 허용규제치(50ppm) 이상의 높은 농도를 나타내었다.

정식시기가 큰꽃 삽주의 생육 및 수량에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Transplanting Time on Growth and Yield of Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz.)

  • 경북 북부지역에서 큰삽주의 1년생 종근 정식적기를 구명하고자 1996년부터 1998년까지 3개년간 수행한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 정식시기별 출현일수는 만식할수록 단축되는 경향이었고 정식시기별 지상부 생육은 3월 20일 정식시 초장이 가장 크고, 주당 지상부 생체중 및 건괴근중은 4월 5일 정식이 각각 51.9, 11.5g으로 가장 양호하였다. 2. 10g당 최대 건괴근수량을 보이는 생육일수는 209일이었으며 경북 북부지역의 큰삽주 1년생 종근 정식 적기는 4월 5일부터 4월 10일 사이로 판단되었다. 3. 생육초기 적산온도가 267$^{\circ}C$일 때 출현일수가 14.4일로 가장 짧았으며 전 생육기간 동안의 적산온도는 3$600^{\circ}C$일 때 10a당 건괴근수량이 233kg으로 가장 많았다.

Growth and Yield of Double Cropping Potatoes Produced Using Seed Tubers of Different Types and Sizes

  • For stable cultivation in double cropping, it is important to use potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) cultivars with a short dormancy period of 50-70 days and plant seed tubers of appropriate type and size. An experiment was conducted during 2018-2019 to investigate the effects of seed tuber type and size on growth and yield performance in double cropping. Whole tubers of three sizes (10-20 g, 30-40 g, and 50-60 g) and conventional cut tubers weighing 30-40 g from three cultivars with different dormancy periods, namely 'Daeji' (40-60 days), 'Eunsun' (50-60 days), and 'Saebong' (50-80 days), were planted, and their field performance was compared. Regardless of the cultivar, the increase in the whole tuber weight up to 30-40 g led to fast emergence, thereby increasing ground cover rate, shoot growth rate, and tuber growth rate, which ultimately improved tuber yield by 33-54%. Comparing the whole and cut tubers, 'Daeji' and 'Eunsun' showed similar growth and yield performance; as such, the performance of whole tubers weighing 10-20 g was comparable to that of cut tubers weighing 30-40 g. However, 'Saebong', a cultivar with relatively long dormancy period, performed better with cut tuber than with whole tubers. Based on these results, we recommend the use of whole tubers weighing over 30 g for double cropping. Further studies to break tuber dormancy are warranted in cultivars with relatively long dormancy periods (50-80 days), such as 'Saebong'.

Recommendation of Nitrogen Topdressing Rates at Panicle Initiation Stage of Rice Using Canopy Reflectance

  • The response of grain yield(GY) and milled-rice protein content(PC) to crop growth status and nitrogen(N) rates at panicle initiation stage(PIS) is critical information for prescribing topdress N rate at PIS(Npi) for target GY and PC. Three split-split-plot experiments including various N treatments and rice cultivars were conducted in Experimental Farm, Seoul National University, Korea in 2003-2005. Shoot N density(SND, g N in shoot $m^{-2}$) and canopy reflectance were measured before N application at PIS, and GY, PC, and SND were measured at harvest. Data from the first two years(2003-2004) were used for calibrating the predictive models for GY, PC, and SND accumulated from PIS to harvest using SND at PIS and Npi by multiple stepwise regression. After that the calibrated models were used for calculating N requirement at PIS for each of nine plots based on the target PC of 6.8% and the values of SND at PIS that was estimated by canopy reflectance method in the 2005 experiment. The result showed that SND at PIS in combination with Npi were successful to predict GY, PC, and SND from PIS to harvest in the calibration dataset with the coefficients of determination ($R^2$) of 0.87, 0.73, and 0.82 and the relative errors in prediction(REP, %) of 5.5, 4.3, and 21.1%, respectively. In general, the calibrated model equations showed a little lower performance in calculating GY, PC, and SND in the validation dataset(data from 2005) but REP ranging from 3.3% for PC and 13.9% for SND accumulated from PIS to harvest was acceptable. Nitrogen rate prescription treatment(PRT) for the target PC of 6.8% reduced the coefficient of variation in PC from 4.6% in the fixed rate treatment(FRT, 3.6g N $m^{-2}$) to 2.4% in PRT and the average PC of PRT was 6.78%, being very close to the target PC of 6.8%. In addition, PRT increased GY by 42.1 $gm^{-2}$ while Npi increased by 0.63 $gm^{-2}$ compared to the FRT, resulting in high agronomic N-use efficiency of 68.8 kg grain from additional kg N. The high agronomic N-use efficiency might have resulted from the higher response of grain yield to the applied N in the prescribed N rate treatment because N rate was prescribed based on the crop growth and N status of each plot.

논토양에서 해가림 유형 및 품종별 인삼의 생육시기에 따른 생육특성, 건물생산 능력 및 수량성 비교 (Studies on Analysis of Growth Characteristics, Ability of Dry Matter Production, and Yield of Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer at Different Growth Stages with Different Cultivars and Shading Nets in Paddy Field)

  • This study was conducted to examine major growth responses, the production and partitioning of dry matter on different growth stages, and yields and to select the optimal shading material in both quality and productivity of ginseng. Two cultivars of ginseng, Cheonpoong and Geumpoong, were cultivated in the paddy soil with three different shading materials; three-layered blue and one-layered black polyethylene (TBP), blue polyethylene sheet (BPS), and aluminium-coated polyethylene sheet (APS). Plant heights were linearly increased until June 24 and then maintained with showing higher height in Cheonpoong than that in Geumpoong cultivar. Root lengths were gradually increased until October 16. They were longer in Cheonpoong than that in Geumpoong cultivar, showing slightly longer with APS compared to TBP and BPS. The ability of producing dry matter of leaves was much higher from April to June compared to those of other growth periods, whereas its ability of root was concentrated from the end of June to the end of August. Among the shading materials, the ability of producing dry matter of shoot was higher with TBP than those with BPS and APS, while its ability of root was not appeared certain tendency unlike the shoot. The yield of ginseng roots was the highest with TBP among three shading materials and it was higher in Cheonpoong than that of Geumpoong cultivar. The shading materials which affect the light intensity and the temperature would be considered as an important factor to get better quality and productivity of Korean ginseng.

벼 육묘상자를 이용한 돌나물 재배에서 삽식밀도에 따른 생육 및 수량 (Growth and Yield of Sedum sarmentosum as Affected by Planting Density in Cultivation System Using a Rice Nursery Tray)

  • 무가온 하우스에서 벼 육묘상자($30{\times}60{\times}3\;cm$)를 이용한 고품질 돌나물 생산체계를 확립하기 위하여, 완주 및 금산지역종을 재료로 육모상자당 40, 60, 80개체씩 9월7일에 삽식한 다음, 월동전후 두 지역종간 생육특성과 수량성을 조사하였다. 삽식후 60일째에 초장과 줄기수는 삽식밀도 간에 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았으나, 두 지역종의 잎장과 식물체 당 곁가지 수는 40개체보다 80개체 밀식에서 유의한 감소를 보였다. 월동후 1차 수확시(4월 20일), 금산 지역종의 생육은 삽식밀도간 차이가 없었으나, 완주 지역종의 줄기직경, 줄기당 마디수와 잎수 등은 40개체 삽십보다 80개체 삽식에서 유의한 감소를 보였다. 생체중과 건물중은 두 계통 모두 삽식밀도간 차이가 없었으나, 완주지역종에서 유의한 증가를 보였다. 2차 수확시(6월 5일)의 생육은 두 지역종 모두 총 줄기수에서만 40개체 삽십보다 80개체 삽식에서 유의한 증가를 보였다. 생체중과 건물중은 금산 지역종에서 40개체 삽십보다 60개체 삽식에서 유의하게 증가하였고, 완주 지역종의 건물중이 금산 지역종보다 높았다. 완주 지역종은 줄기가 두껍고 마디가 짧으며, 잎이 크고 웃자라지 않아, 수량성이 금산 지역종보다 높았다. 따라서 무가온 하우스에서 벼 육묘상자를 이용한 돌나물 재배시 완주 지역종이 금산 지역종보다 적합하였으며, 재식밀도는 상자당 40개체가 적당하였다.

산국 재배시 재식밀도, 적심 및 예취가 생육과 발달에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Planting Density, Pinching, and Mowing on Plant Growth and Development of Chrysanthemum boreale Mak.)

  • 이 연구에서 재식밀도, 적심, 그리고 예취가 생육과 수량에 영향을 미쳤다. 재식거리 $90cm{\times}30cm$에서 최고의 생장과 수량을 얻었는데, 이 재식거리에서는 최고초장이 140cm, 식물체당 1차, 2차 및 3차 분지수가 각각 32개, 164개 및 367개로 자랐다. 이 처리에서 건조한 꽃의 무게는 10a당 98kg에 달해 재식거리 $120cm{\times}30cm$에 비해 40% 증수되었다. 경경, 지상부 건물중 및 건조한 꽃 무게는 적심 하였을 때 무적심에 비해 증가되었다. 7월 10일 적심시 건조한 꽃 무게가 10a당 102kg으로 무적심에 비해 57% 증가되었다. 생육과 수량특성은 무예취와 6월 10일 예취 처리간에 비슷하였지만 7월 10일 예취에서는 초장, 경경 및 분지수가 무처리에 비해 유의하게 감소되었다. 누적 지상부 건물중은 모든 처리에서 차이가 없었지만 6월 10일 예취시 건조한 꽃 무게와 꽃수가 10a당 각각 123kg과 2,592개로 가장 많았다.
