  • Application of long-span bridge, which is affected by parameters such as span length, shoe boundary condition, track property and stiffness of superstructure and substructure etc., can vary. Especially, by CWR aspects of the axial force, long-span high speed railway bridges are limited at type and span length. In this study, in terms of CWR axial force, the long-span high-speed railway bridges without REJ(Rail Expansion Joint) is to propose the bridge type. Various Parameters analysis performed for the proposed type(Arch bridge, Cable-stayed bridge).

Consumers' Motivations for Brand-Switching of Sport Shoes according to Their Age and Gender

  • The purpose of the study was to provide the basic information that is needed to build marketing strategies related to consumers' brand-switching, through investigation into sport shoe consumers' motivations for brand-switching, as determined by their age and gender. The study was implemented by means of a descriptive survey method using a questionnaire. The sample consisted of 534 consumers between the ages of 13 and 59, residing in the Seoul area. The survey for the study was conducted during the period of October 10 through December 5, in 2008. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and Duncan's Test were employed for the analysis of data gathered. The results revealed that there are differences with regard to the degree that the functional/aesthetic factors of sport shoes contribute to the motivation for brand-switching, when assessed with respect to the age and gender of consumers. The contributory degrees of situational factors and social/emotional curiosity factors of consumers are also different with regard to the motivation for brand-switching behavior of sport shoe consumers in accordance with their age and gender. Therefore, marketing strategies related to brand-switching behavior will be more effective when they are differentiated according to the target age and gender, even with respect to the same type of product, such as sport shoes.

서양신발의 변천과정에 관한 연구 - 중세~근대를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Changes of Western Shoes - from Medieval Times to Modern Times -)

  • Modern footwear is accepted as a fashion accessory that plays the role of a point of style, which reflects trends and makes use of individuality and stylishness, not a practical means itself. This study considers diverse types of western shoes, which had been historically popular from, and about a role in accordance with it, and grasps the occurrence background and the aesthetic characteristics in shoes type, which had initiated fashion in the historically cultural aspect. Thus, the aim is to be conducive to developing design related to modern shoes. As a result of this study, shoe styles have changed in relation to the historical situation throughout every period from medieval times to mid-modern times. Two functions of shoes, practicality and aesthetics, could be observed tendency of leading fashion in the middle of mutual control and supplementation according to social conditions, economic strength in a person of wearing shoes, social standing, and gender. Accordingly, considering that designs related to shoes are influenced by the historical conditions, continuous research on unique designs according to each era is thought to be necessary to develop shoe designs of the future.

자탈형 콤바인의 선별모델 (Cleaning Model of Head-feeding Combine)

  • The combine harvester is considered as an important but complicated and costly machine. The appropriate size of combine has to be developed to use efficiently in Korea. But the combine is such a complicated machine that a complete design model to develop a new type is impossible without understanding the relationship between each factor. The combine capacity is generally limited by the cleaning shoe performance. So a design model for a cleaning shoe has to be developed first for the complete combine design. The objective of this research was to develop a cleaning model of head-feeding combine to predict grain separation from chaff and broken straw on a sieve. A developed physically based model can explain the situation which can happen during separation process. A test apparatus based on the field going machine was developed. The test materials were paddy rice and barley. The data obtained were analyzed by the hand and the video camera. The developed model was verified as an adequate model through the test with $R^2$ of 0.934 and 0.837. The model can be used to evaluate design and operation alternatives of combine and also applied to the automatic control of separation unit of combine with a loss monitering sensors.

저온플라즈마 처리조건이 신발 중창용 EVA 발포체의 접착력에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Low Temperature Plasma Treatment Condition on the Peel Strength of EVA Foam for Shoe Mid-sole)

  • 신발 중창용 EVA 발포체의 수용성 폴리우레탄계 접착제에 대한 접착력을 증가시키기 위하여 발포체 표면을 저온 플라즈마 처리하였다. 플라즈마 처리기체 종류, 플라즈마 처리시간, 전극과 시료와의 거리등의 조건에 따른 발포체의 표면형태, 접촉각 및 수성폴리우레탄에 대한 접착력 등을 주사전자현미경, 접촉각 측정기, 인장강도시험기 등을 사용하여 측정하였다. 플라즈마 처리시간이 증가함에 따라 플라즈마 에칭에 의한 표면 형태의 변화가 더욱 뚜렷하게 나타났으며, 물로 측정한 발포체의 표면 접촉각은 현저히 감소하였다. 플라즈마 처리시간이 증가함에 따라 접착력은 현저히 증가하였다.

  • This study was to analyze the effect of dancesport heel-shoes heights on Rumba Cucarachas Movement in terms of analysis, and to provide the essential information to decide the proper heel-shoes heights for individual. six female subjects participated in this study. Dependent variables were set and divided into the amount of movement regarding the velocity and angle of the right elbow, pelvis, ankle, and knee. The following conclusion was drawn blow. 1) Angle: We all appeared in 5, 7, 9cm heel height so that we were similar in a knee and elbow angle and no significantly. The plantar flexion appeared greatly as an ankle angle's shoe high and significantly. 2) Velocity: An elbow velocity all appeared in a three shoes so that it was similar. We speed fast speed some in a 7cm heel height. A knee velocity expressed fast speed some in a 5cm heel height. The pelvis velocity in a that it was similar. Generaly, The aspect to be a dancesport competition o'clock and aesthetic is the height. and the muscular strength train after we need the thing to choose suitable to the individual shoe height. It is logical that the decision of heel-shoes heights should be made by anthropometric and sport dynamic analysis in order to maximize the dynamic and aesthetic aspect of dance sport.

초고속튜브열차 추진/부상용 LSM의 설계 기법 및 특성 분석 연구 (A study on a design method and characteristic analysis of a LSM for a propulsion/levitation of the high-speed tube train)

  • Since it started the researches on a maglev train on 1960, Germany and Japan arrived to putting to practical use level and accomplished most tests from their test-line. Korea is in progress the preparation for a practical use of low-speed maglev train in 110 [km/h] class and Korea Railroad Research Institute(KRRI) is in progress of a research about core technology of maglev system for high-speed tube train of 700 [km/h] class. In this paper, authors suggest an effective design method of Linear Synchronous Motor(LSM) for high-speed tube train of 700 [km/h] class which has a wound type electro-magnet. Then, authors calculate a variety of properties by changing speed of the LSM model which is designed by a method based on some theoretical equations. Then, authors verify the validity of the method based on some theoretical equations through a verification of property values by Finite Element Method(FEM) analysis method. Finally, in order to design a shape of pole-shoe part of LSM electro-magnet which is hard to design with a basic design method, authors analyze a transition of property values by changing a pole-shoe width and current of the electro-magnet through an analytical method by FEM.

Experimental Apparatus for Opposition Effect at Seoul National University

  • The Opposition Effect (OE) is an enhancement of the brightness of a reflecting light as the phase angle (the Sun-target-observer angle) approaches zero. The mechanisms have been studied both theoretically and experimentally and nowadays recognized that there are two major mechanisms, namely, coherent backscattering OE (CBOE) and shadow hiding OE (SHOE). From data analyses of an S-type asteroid Itokawa taken with the Hayabusa spacecraft onboard camera, it is suggested that the CBOE would be dominant at phase angle smaller than ~ 1.4 deg, while SHOE dominates at larger phase angles (M. Lee & M. Ishiguro, under review). The study on the physical parameters which affect the OE, such as size and composition, will lead us to find a way to disentangle each of them from observation. The experiments in lab, however, faces two major difficulties: (a) the detector blocks the incident light if phase angle is nearly zero and (b) incident and emission angles must be controlled with high angular resolution to prevent blurring of OEs at different phase angles in one measurement. In this presentation, we introduce a new apparatus which has been installed at Seoul National University to investigate the OE in our lab, and summarize the initial results. It will be a valuable starting point to establish infrastructure in Korea, and will shed light on the investigation of OE physics using laboratory simulants.

  • 이 연구는 P.E.B. 골조 시스템 공장 현장에서 가장 많이 사용하고 있는 훅 볼트 형상의 골조 가새의 사용현황을 조사하여 그 문제점을 파악하기 위하여, 다양한 형상의 가새 (예를 들면, 로드 바, 로드 슈, 앵글)에 대한 구조성능실험을 실시한다. 그 실험결과의 분석, 비교를 통해서, 훅 볼트 형 가새의 기술적 한계를 평가하고, P.E.B. 골조에 적합한 인장가새의 기술을 제안한다.

Analysis of Forefoot Bending Angle in Sprint Spikes According to Bobsleigh Start Lap Time for Development of Korean-Specific Bobsledding Shoes

  • Objective: The aim of this study was to analyze effects of the toe-spring angle of bobsleigh shoes on start speed lap time to develop Korean-specific bobsled shoes suitable for winter environments and for domestic players on the basis of sports science and optimized biomechanical performance. Method: Seven Korean bobsleigh athletes participated in this study, with three pairs of sprint spikes from three companies (Type A, Type B, Type C). To analyze sprint lap time and forefoot bending angle for each shoe, participants were instructed to drag a sled 15 meters from the start line at a maximum sprint. forefoot bending angle was collected by a high speed camera, and lap time speed was measured. Results: Lap time for type B shoes was $3.52{\pm}0.17sec$, type A was $3.55{\pm}0.19sec$, and type C was $3.56{\pm}0.18sec$. Forefoot bending angles were: angle 1, $6.88{\pm}5.55^{\circ}$; angle 2, $9.23{\pm}6.38^{\circ}$; angle 3, $15.56{\pm}5.39^{\circ}$; angle 4, $9.54{\pm}3.85^{\circ}$; angle 5, $9.22{\pm}5.08^{\circ}$; angle 6, $7.66{\pm}6.44^{\circ}$; and angle 7, $4.30{\pm}6.24^{\circ}$ (p<.001). Forefoot bending in angle 3 was as follows: type A, $16.47{\pm}6.01^{\circ}$; type B, $14.30{\pm}4.96^{\circ}$; and type C, $15.90{\pm}5.17^{\circ}$. Conclusion: Hard outsoles and midsoles are better than soft type for reduced start lap time when developing a prototype Korean bobsled shoe.
