선박운항 시뮬레이터 실험조건 축소화 연구 (Reduction of Simulation Number for Ship Handling Safety Assessment)

  • Ship handling simulator is a virtual ship navigating system with three dimensional screen system and simulation programs. FTS simulation can produce theoretically infinite experiment tests without time constraint, but which results in collecting determinstic observations. RTS simulation can collect statistical observations but has disadvantage of spending at least 30 minutes for a single experiment. The previous studies suggested that the number of experiment conditions to be tested could be reduced to obtain random data with RTS simulation by focusing on highly difficult experiment condition for ship handling. It has the limitation of not estimating the distribution of ship handling difficulty for the route. In this paper, similarity and clustering analysis are suggested for reduction methodology of experiment conditions. Similarity of experiment conditions are measured as follows: euclidean distance of ship handling difficulty index and correlation matrix of distance differences from the designed route. Clustering analysis and multi-dimensional scaling are applied to classify experiment conditions with measured similarity into reducing the number of RTS simulation conditions. An empirical result on Dangin harbor is shown and discussed.

NNSS 선위오차의 편차를 이용한 속도오차소법에 관한 연구 (A Study of Eliminating NNSS Speed Error by Use of Deviation of NNSS Position Error)

  • As the NNSS system calculates ship's position by the doppler shift of the NNSS radio waves caused by the change of the distance between Transit Satellite and the ship, ship's speed error inevitably results in the position error, and moreover this kind of erroris most dominant compared with other errors especially in high speed ships and airplanes. Most NNSS receivers now in use have adoptedsuccessive short doppler counts as positioning data and by investigating the dispersion of serval successive positions calculated and by neglecting the mean position having dispersion of over certain threshold level, more accurate adn safe position is to be achieved. This paper proposes the method of finding ship's true speed by selecting a speed having least position dispersion for given successive doppler counts. And by computer simulation it was verified that the method proposed here is reasonable in finding the ship's desired correct speed together with the correct ship's position.

  • As far as ship's cargo handling devicesareconcerned, the derrick system has been used comprehensively in the marine. Even though there are several new devices for ship's cargo gear, such as gantry crane, jib crane adn self unloader, the derrick system, with its improved rigging method, still retains its utmost reputations among ship's owners. Therefore the method of calculating the system's militating stresses in the course of cargo operation needs to be more convenient and analytical. Here the author attempts to introduce the calculating method of stresses by means of vector analysis. The calculating method is able to analyze the stresses acting in every part of the cargo gear systems, such as union purchase, slewing or its modified system.

  • 본 논문에서는 이원화된 필드버스 기반의 선박 엔진용 분산 제어시스템을 설계 및 구현한다. 구현된 시스템은 엔진의 상태 값을 감시하기 위해서 CAN과 MODBUS 프로토콜을 혼합 형태로 이용하여 서로 다른 영역의 통신 구조로 구성한다. 첫 번째 층은 CAN프로토콜을 이용하여 엔진의 상태 값을 공유하게 된다. 두 번째 층은 MODBUS를 이용하여 엔진룸에서 기관실의 AMS로 모니터링 데이터 전송을 위한 통신을 지원한다. 테스트 베드 환경을 구축하여 구현된 시스템을 선급기술규칙의 요구사항에 의거하여 테스트 및 성능 검증하였다.

이지스함의 탄도미사일 방어를 위한 운용개념 도출 (Derivation of Operational Concept for the BMD of the Aegis Ship)

  • This paper describes the operational concept of the Aegis ship's missile defense. Recently, North Korea conducted a fourth nuclear-weapon test that involved the launch of a long-range missile and the underwater launch of an SLBM. The ground-based BMD (Ballistic Missile Defense) system is very limited for the SLBM of a miniaturized nuclear warhead; therefore, it is necessary to build a reliable sea-based missile-defense system. The ROK Navy has, however, only utilized the Aegis ship that is designed with a search-and-tracking sensor but is without a ballistic-missile interception capability. Given this information, this work focuses on the operational concept of the Aegis BMD by comparing the BMD capabilities of the ROK with those of the U.S.

  • Reduction of a ship's rolling is the most important performance requirement for improving the safety of the crew on board and preventing damage to cargos as well as improving the comfort of the ride. A mass driving anti-rolling system (MD-ARS) might be one candidate of several systems against the ship's rolling. In this paper, three types of MD-ARS, two passive and one active devices, are developed for small ships. After they are installed on the cabin of the small leisure boat, respectively, a series of test is conducted before and after operating them. Through the test, it is confirmed that the roll responses of the ship are pretty well reduced by the system.

항해중 선박 적재화물의 동적 안정성 평가에 관한 연구 (On the Evaluation of the dynamic Safety of the Ship's Cargo at Sea)

  • One of the most important missons that are imposed on merchant ship at sea is to accomplish the safe transportation of cargo loaded. Recently, a study on the seakeeping performance has been carried out on the development of evaluation system related to the synthetic safety of a ship at sea. The seakeeping performance is the ship's ability sailing at, and executing its misson against adverse environmental factors successfully and safely. Until now, however, there has not been any method of quantitative evaluation on the dynamic safety of the ship's cargo loaded. In this regards, this paper has introduced the evaluation method of dynamic safety of the ship's cargo. In order to evaluate the dynamic safety of cargo, the vertical and lateral acceleration which causes the collapse, racking and local structure failure of cargo was adopted as the evaluation factors in the ship's motions. The response amplitude of ship's motions in regular waves is manipulated by NSM (New Strip Method) on a given 2,700 TEU full container vessel under the wind forces of 7, 8 and 9 Beaufort scale. Each response of ship's motions induced by NSM was applied to short-crested irregular waves for stochastic process on evaluation factors and then vertical and lateral acceleration of each cargo was compared with significant amplitude of each acceleration. A representative dangerous factor was determined by comparing permissible values of stacking and racking forces occurred typically to the vertical and transverse directions with the container strength required on ISO 1496 at the positions of forecastle, poop and ship's midship respectively. Through the occurrence probability of the determined factor by Rayleigh's probability density function, the dangerousness which limits loads on container's side wall as an evaluation was applied in judging of the danger of the ship's cargo loaded.

선박충돌회피지원 시스템을 위한 자동제어 (Automatic Control for Ship Collision Avoidance Support System)

  • 일본을 중심으로 과거 10여전부터 수행되어온 선박충돌회피연구는 최근 눈부신 IT산업의 발전에 힘입어 실용화 단계에 까지 접어들 수 있는 환경을 맞이하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 연구의 일환으로 선박충돌회피지원시스템의 주요 핵심 기술인 자동회피 알고리즘을 구성하기 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 선박운동방정식은 간편히 선체운동을 수학식으로 표현하는 KT모델을 이용하였으며, 선박이 정해진 항로를 유지해 나가는 Track Control System의 구현을 위해서는 퍼지 이론을 이용한 자동제어 시스템을 적용하였다. 또한 충돌회피 추론 부분에서는 위험도 판정을 위하여 TCPA와 DCOPA를 이용한 퍼지 추론이 이용되었다. 충돌회피거동 기능면에서는 국제해상충돌예상규칙을 기초로 하여, 두 선박의 다양한 조우 상황을 분석하였다. 이 분석에 기초한 피항거동이 이루어질수 있도록 알고리즘을 구축하였다. 제안된 시스템의 유효성을 검증하기 위하여, 다양한 상황을 시뮬레이션이 수행되었다. 그 결과 적절한 선박충돌회피 동작이 이루어지는 것을 확인하였으며, 향후 더욱 연구가 발전된다면 선박충돌회피지원시스템으로 실 선박에 적용할 수 있는 가능성을 확인하였다.

선박 유압 조타장치 부하의 추정 (Estimation of Load on Ship's Hydraulic Steering Gear)

  • For testing a newly designed ship's steering gear, a steering gear test bench with a steering gear to be tested and a load generation part should be prepared. The load given to the steering gear has to be pertinent to the load generated in a targeted ship. In this study, the authors suggest a process of estimating the load given to steering gears in ships. At first, a test for measuring the load in the steering gear of a real ship was conducted. Then, a process was developed to compute rudder driving torque and force by using basic equations including some empirical equations on ship's steering. The test results and the computation results on the load in the steering gear were compared, As a result, the process suggested in this study for estimating load in ship's steering gears was verified.

선박용 DBS수신 추적안테나 시스템의 구현 (A study on the tracking antenna system for DBS receive on a ship)

  • 직접위성방송(DBS)은 정보화사회를 위한 실질적인 서비스 분야로써 각광을 받고 있으며, 특히 해상에 까지 광범위한 방송서비스를 제공할 수 있는 매우 유용한 매체이다. 그러나 해상에서의 DBS 수신장치는 선박의 운항이나 피칭(pitching), 로링(rolling), 요잉(yawing) 등의 동요에 관계없이 위성을 계속 추적하기 위한 복잡한 안테나 제어장치가 필요하다. 이 연구는 소형 선박에서 무궁화위성의 DBS를 수신하기 위한 장치의 개발을 목표로 하고 있으며, 한반도 주위의 해역을 항해하는 소형 선박에서 쉽게 탑재하고 사용할 수 있도록 소형, 경량, 저가격화에 중점을 두었다. 그러므로 한반도 연.근해에서 무궁화위성의 추적조건을 분석하고 이에 적합한 Az/El 2축 마운트를 설계하여 제작하였으며, 스텝트렉(step track) 빙식에 의한 추적과 각속도 센서를 이용한 마운트의 동요보정 기능을 타 장비의 도움없이 스스로 수행할 수 있는 시스템을 연구하였다. 또한 장치를 탑재할 수 있는 선박운동 시뮬레이터를 제작하여 여러가지 형태의 동요를 구현하며, 추적과 동요보정에 따른 수선상태를 측정, 분석하므로써 실험적으로 최적의 알고리즘을 작성하였다.
