질산에 의한 중.저탄소페로망간제조분진에 함유된 망간의 침출 (The Extraction of Manganese from the Medium-Low Carbon Ferromanganese Dust with Nitric Acid)

  • 고탄소페로망간을 중.저탄소페로망간으로 제조하는 AOD공정의 Bag filter에 포집된 분진은 약 90%가 $Mn_3O_4$인 망간산화물이다. 분진의 입도는 5$\mu\textrm{m}$이하이고, 입자들은 직경이 10nm정도인 미립자들의 응집체로서 구형이다. 분진에서 망간을 질산으로 침출할 때의 최대침출율은 약 67%이며,비정질의 $MnO_2$가 잔류한다. 침출속도는 온도가 증가함에 따라 빨라지고 고농도의 질산에서는 늦어졌다. 침출속도를 여러 침출모델에 적용한 결과는 pore diffusion model에 일치하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 반도체 공정 시뮬레이션을 위해 산화, 확산 및 이온 주입 공정을 모델링하고, 효율적인 실행과 상호 연관된 연속 공정의 시뮬레이션이 가능하도록 통합화된 환경을 구축하였다. 점성적 스트레스 모델을 이용한 산화 공정은 유속-압력 알고리즘과 경계요소법을 이용하여 안정된 해를 얻었으며, 선확산과 산화증배 현상이 포함된 확산 공정은 전진해법과 유한요소법을 이용하였다 또한 이온 주입 공정은 TRIM을 기본으로 다양한 공정 조건에 대한 모델이 추가된 몬테카를로 방법을 사용하였다. 편리한 사용자 입력 인터페이스와 그래픽적 출력을 제공하고, 윈도즈의 API함수를 이용하여 PC상에서 적은 메모리로도 빠른 결과를 얻을 수 있도록 하였으며, 객체 지향적인 모듈화로 타 시뮬레이터와의 호환성이 가능하도록 구성하였다.

  • The results gained as part of the study on weldability of compositions from steels, aluminium, titanium alloys in various combinations including similar and dissimilar metal bonding variants with reference to solution of specific practical problems are presented in this work. It has been shown that in the case of HIP/DB carried out with direct interaction of bonding surfaces of the most dissimilar material combinations under study, formation of high-quality joints is not assured due to various reasons. That is why development of special bonding techniques was required. The bonding techniques developed and used for HIP/DB of dissimilar steels, "Steel-bronze", "Titanium-niobium"; "Titanium-steel" and other compositions under study ensured vacuum-tight microvoid-free joints strength of a which was equal to the milder parent metal, including those obtained at reduced welding pressures. Examples of new products manufactured by HIP/DB using the technologies developed are presented.

VC의 첨가에 따른 Fe-TiC계의 미세조직변화 (Effect of VC Addition on the Microstructural Evolution of Fe-TiC Cermet)

  • The effect of VC addition on the microstructural evolution of Fe-TiC cermet has been investigated. The microstructures of the Fe-TiC varied with the amount of VC addition. The addition of 1wt% VC enhanced the instability of liquid-solid interface ; the dissolving interface showed round shape instead of facetted one which was ascribed to the increase of lattice mismatch between TiC and solid-solution carbide. in the speci-men with 10wt% VC the new set of solid-solution carbide grains of uniform and small size was formed in-side coarse TiC particles by diffusion induced recrystallizatin (DIR). With increasing the heat-treatment time fine recrystallized grains were dispersed homogeneously in the matrix and resulted in the increase in fracture strength.

  • The relationship between mass transfer and reaction within the washcoat is investigated in a monolith type micro-scale Pt-catalytic combustor. Nondimensionalized balance equation of butane is applied in a simplified washcoat geometry having the shape of slab. Both Thiele modulus and effectiveness factor are considered to compare reaction rate and diffusion rate according to the operation temperature and the diameter of alumina nano-pores. The effect of reaction becomes stronger as the temperature increases, while the effect of diffusion becomes relatively dominant as the diameter of nano-pores increases. From the analysis of butane distribution within the washcoat, design criterion for the thickness of washcoat is discussed.

Characteristics of Imitation for American Trendy Casual Styles Made by Domestic Casual Brands

  • American trendy casual styles can be characterized as fitted to body and rendering sexy and fashionable images and now very popular in Korea. This paper aims to identify diffusion channels of Amreican trendy casual style among Korean market and the characteristics of imitation for American trendy casual styles made by Korean casual brands. American trendy casual style was introduced and diffused mainly through 3 channels: American films and TV dramas, on-line communities, on-line shopping mall speciallized for purchasing American apparel brands. Some of American celebrities became fashion ikons and played critical roles in diffusing American trendy styles. After searching websites and fashion magazines and visiting brand stores, several Korean casual brands imitated the styles of American trendy casual brands and the scope of imitation was vast across items. Imitation was found mainly among T-shirts,jacket, jumper, pants, skirt and accessaries. Also imitation was found in almost every aspects of clothes such as shape, sihlouette, color, prints and stitching, belt, and drawstring.

Water Quality and Diffusion Characteristics in the Eastern Sea of the Geoje Island

  • In order to provide the basic data required for setting up the proper strategies to minimize the future marine pollution in the vicinity sea area of the Geoje Island, the general water quality parameters and dye diffusion experiment were carried out from January to March, 1983. Although TSS and COD level in the investigated sea area showed still slightly lower than the area of Seaside Industrial Complex Zones, seriously increasing due to the construction of heavy industrial plants. Dissolved oxygen showed more than 8 ppm, and inferred still enough for the reservation of the investigated sea area. The dye patches moved south-eastward with forming an elliptical shape and then turned slowly to the area of Kujora during flood tide, and it moved northwestward and then blocked the entrance of Jangseungpo during ebb tide, The diffusibility in the area may be assessed to be quite better than other coastal areas.

Numerical Analysis of Flow and Pollutant Dispersion over 2-D Bell Shaped Hills

  • The numerical simulations of flow and pollutant particle dispersion are described for two-dimensional bell shaped hills with various aspect ratios. The Reynolds-averaged incompressible Navier-Stokes equations with low Reynolds number $\kappa$-$\varepsilon$ turbulent model are used to simulate the flowfield. The gradient diffusion equation is used to solve the pollutant dispersion field. The code was validated by comparison of velocity, turbulent kinetic energy, Reynolds shear stress, speed-up ratio, and ground level concentration with experimental and numerical data. Good agreement has been achieved and it has been found that the pollutant dispersion pattern and ground level concentration have been strongly influenced by the hill shape and aspect ratio, as well as the location and height of the source.

  • In the vortex particle method based on the vorticity-velocity formulation for solving the Wavier-Stokes equations, the unsteady, incompressible, viscous laminar flow over a NACA 0012 foil is simulated. By applying an operator-splitting method, the 'convection' and 'diffusion' equations are solved sequentially at each time step. The convection equation is solved using the vortex particle method, and the diffusion equation using the particle strength exchange(PSE) scheme which is modified to avoid a spurious vorticity flux. The scheme is improved for variety body shape using one image layer scheme. For a validation of the present method, we illustrate the early development of the viscous flow about an impulsively started NACA 0012 foil for Reynolds number 550.

대기오염모델에서의 이류방정식에 대한 수치적 방법의 비교 (A Comparison of Numerical Methods for the Advection Equation for Air Pollution Models)

  • Numerical solutions to the advection equations used for long-range transport air pollution models are calculated using three numerical methods; Antidiffusion correction method(Smolarkiewicz, 1983), Positive definite advecton scheme obtained by nonlinear renormalization of the advective fluxes(Bott, 1989), and Positive definite pseudospectral method(Bartnicki, 1989). Accuracy, numerical diffusion and computational time requirement are compared for two-dimensional transport calculations in a uniform rotational flow field. The solutions from three methods are positive definite. Bartnicki(1989)'s method is most conservative but requires approximately 10 times as much computational time as Smolarkiewicz(1983)'s method of which numerical diffusion is the largest. All three methods are more conservative for a cone shape initial condition than for a rectangular block initial condition with a steep gradient.
