This study examined sex-role attitude, conjugal status level and status satisfaction of rural married women as a part of study on problem diagnosis and status enhancement of Korean rural women. The subjects were 919 married farming women. Data were analyzed by frequencies, percentages, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe multiple range test, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The major findings were as follows : 1) Rural womens sex-role attitude were conservative attitude. 66.7% of them conceived that their husband had more conservative attitude than them. Variables as age, education level, and farming work type were significant related with sex-role attitude. 2) Conjugal status level (housework sharing, domestic decision-making, agriculture decision-making, property rights) of rural women were low and not equal. It was affected by sex-role attitude, the proportion of their work to family farming work, similar/different type of sex-role attitude of couples, and their farming work type. 3) Their status satisfaction were low and affected by factors such as similar/different type of sex-role attitude of couples, conjugal status level, sex-role attitude, their farming work type, and education level.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of a sexuality education coaching program given to elementary school students in terms of sex-related knowledge and attitude. Methods: The participants were elementary school students in S city (Experimental group=21, Control group=23). Data were collected and the program was conducted from Feb. 15 to Apr. 15, 2013. The experimental group of 21 elementary school students in the fifth and sixth grades who received the sexuality education coaching program, 10 sessions in the three weeks. The control group of 23 elementary school students in the fifth and sixth grades from another school received, 2 sessions in the three weeks on sexuality education including physiology and sexual abuse prevention. Data were analyzed using ${\chi}^2$-test, independent t-test, repeated measures ANOVA, and utilized the SPSS program. Results: The experimental group showed significantly better sex-related knowledge and sex-related attitudes than the control group. Conclusion: Therefore, individualized approach with emphasis on the differences of their level of understanding and strengths should be considered in providing sexuality education coaching programs for elementary school students.
Purpose: To determine whether maternal attitude toward sex during pregnancy and health-related quality of life could influence sexual function of pregnant women. Methods: In this study, 138 second and third trimester pregnant women completed self-report questionnaires during their visits to women's hospitals or community health centers to assess their general characteristics, attitude toward sex during pregnancy (PIES-M), health-related quality of life (EQ-5D), and sexual function (FSFI-6K). Multiple regression analysis was performed to test the research model with SPSS version 23. Results: Pregnant women who had discontinued their sexual life after recognizing their pregnancy accounted for 27.5% of women questioned. The average sexual function score of pregnant women was higher in the second trimester than the third trimester. Attitude toward sex during pregnancy (${\beta}=-.38$, p<.001), maintaining sexual life (${\beta}=.20$, p=.028), health-related quality of life (${\beta}=.18$, p=.030), and adverse symptoms during sex (${\beta}=.18$, p=.042) were determinants of sexual function during pregnancy. Conclusion: Nurses in antenatal care units need to help pregnant women maintain a positive attitude toward sexual activity during pregnancy and manage their health-related quality of life to maintain their sexual life during pregnancy.
The problem related to sex is closely connected with human life. It is important to acquire accurate sexual knowledge and desirable attitude specially during adolescence, in the physical, psychological and emotional changing period. This study was made to find out the high school girls' knowledge, attitude and experience related to sex, and to support the progress of sex education at school in the future. The design was nonequivalent control pretest-posttest in the quasi-experimental design. In current study, the subjects were 102 girls from the 1 st grade of girls' commercial high school. It was control group 54 and experimental group 48. To teach the experimental group, the sex education program was combined the sex education program made in Korea Education Development Institute, Information of sex education by the Ministry of Education, other concerning articles and previous studies. The research tool was a questionnaire based on the literature review. The pretest-posttest was given to the two groups. The sex education had been taken for the experimental group but not been taken for the control group. The data was collected from May 22, 1993 to July 20, 1993 and was analyzed through spss $^{pc}$. The frequency, $x^2$-test and t-test were calculated. Summarized findings from the study are as follows : groups before sex education. 1. Regarding the first hypothesis was supported as following : "The scores of sexual knowledge in the experimental group who was given sex education will be higher than those of the control group who was not given." (t=-14.11, p=.000) 2. Regarding the second hypothesis was supported as following : "The scores of the attitude toward sex in the experimental group who given sex education will be higher than those of the control group who was not given." (t=-6.15, p=.000) The result of this study suggests that it is so necessary that school nurses should teach about sex regularly at school.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to provide substantial foundation to establish effective sex education plan for university students, and to inquire into sexual knowledge, consciousness and values of university students and into whether there are difference between health related major subjects and non-health related major subjects. Methods: This study was conducted on students in 227 health related major subjects and 226 non-health related major subjects in chungbuk C city. The Questionnaire, used in this study, was re-made on basis of reviews and previous studies, and total of 453 questionnaires were used. Results: Sexual knowledge scores were not significantly difference between health related major subjects and non-health related major subjects. but health related major subjects were more educated contraception, pregnancy artificial abortion, sexually transmitted disease than non-health related major subjects. Sexual knowledge was correlated with attitude in sex, times of sex education and usefulness of sex education. Conclusion: The university authorities make a curriculum for systematic sex educations and need to assertive support students and they can have right sexual consciousness and have mature and responsible attitude to sex through right education of knowledge in sex.
The purpose of the survey was to Identify the degree and the relationship of sexual knowledge, sexual attitude. This information will provide useful data for a more systematic, desirable, and practical sex education. The data was collected from 187 first grade schoolchildren(95 boys and 92 girls) of two Junior high school in Chun-nam area. The data was gathered by questionnaire from Oct. 1 to 15, 1996. The questionnaire was modified by authors using the questionnaire developed by You-Jeong, Han (1996). Data was analyzed by using the statistical computer package, SAS to manipulate the data along with percentages, means, standard deviation, t-test, χ²-test, GLM, and Pearson correlation coeffiency. The results in this study were summarized as follows: 1. Sex related knowledges.-The mean score of sex related knowledges showed significant differences between boys and girls (boys : 22.3, girls .21.0, p<0.025), and in the area of pregnancy & delivary(boys : 9.4, girls : 7.9, P<0.000) showed significant difference between boys and girls, but in the area of physical differeces of the other sex(boys : 12.9, girls ; 13.1, p<0.551) showed no significant difference between boys and girls. 2. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to measure knowledge, attitude, experience of sex, sexual autonomy and the need of sex education of college students in order to provide sex information. Method: The subjects of this study were 356 college students. The data were collected from October 26 to December 5, 2003 by using a structured questionnaire. Result: The respondents' score of sexual knowledge was relatively low as 53.7 mean score on the basis of 100. However, the scores of sexual knowledge related to masturbation, induced abortion, and contraception were relatively high. The respondents' score of sexual attitude was 3.09. The respondents' score of sexual autonomy was 3.89. The percentage of subjects that experienced sexual intercourse was 41.6% and there was a difference between the gender. There was a positive correlation between sexual knowledge and sexual autonomy and between sexual knowledge and sexual attitude. There were significant differences in the sexual knowledge, sexual attitude and sexual autonomy depending upon the experience of coitus. The respondents expressed the need of sex education in college. Conclusion: An integrated sex education program should be developed and contents must have a concrete and honest education which is appropriate to college students.
This study's purpose is to look into whether there is a difference in acceptance attitude toward sex according to the level of sexual awareness and to investigate how the level of sexual awareness affects acceptance attitude toward sex aimed at workers in welfare facilities for the aged. Furthermore, the study seeks ways to practice and intervene in sex-related service for the aged. The analysis revealed that there were significant differences in acceptance attitude toward sex according to the level of sexual awareness of facility workers. In other words, high level of sexual awareness group was more open to acceptance attitude toward sex than other groups. Moreover, it was demonstrated that sexual awareness affects acceptance attitude toward sex and also it was revealed that the more liberal the level of sexual awareness, the more open the acceptance attitude toward sex. Through discussion based on the study results, intervention plan was proposed for social welfare practice and development of sex education program for welfare facility workers.

The purpose of this study was to measure the knowledge, attitude, experience in sex and the needs of sex education for college students in order to provide basix sex education information for this study, the questionnaires were given to 1,210 women's students in K college of Inchon and collected during the period from June to July, 2001. These results were analyzed statistically by means of frequency, percentage, t-test, ANOVA and regression test. The results of this analysis are as follows: 1. The level of knowledge related to sex was relatively low. The difference of grade was 2nd. grade somewhat higher than 1st. grade and major of public science higher than literature. The scores related to sexual attitude, 45.7% of the respondent answered 'strongly agree' and 'agree' with abortion before marriage, 31.5% of the respondent answered 'strongly agree' or 'agree' with male's responsibility for premarital pregnancy. 2. To solve sexual problems, 48.0% of the respondents intended to consult their friends, 8.5% of the respondents intended to consult expert. 3. The sequence of sexual experience were 7.1% genital coitus, 5.4% masturbation, 4.5% contraceptive, 0.4% veneral disease, 2.6% rape, 2.1% pregnancy. 4. 98.4% of the respondents agreed there was a need for sex education in the college and wanted to acquire information through 45.5% special lecture, 18.0% regular curriculum, within the content of sex education, needs in order to priority are; contraceptive, sexual psychology, pregnancy, veneral disease, sexual morality etc. 5. Regarding sexual knowledge, there were no significant difference grade or major and relationship between sexual attitude and knowledge, respondents who answered 'agree' with premarital coitus had more knowledge of sexual physiology & psychology. 6. Regarding relationships between sexual experiences and knowledge, respondents who had experienced veneral disease.
The purpose of this study is to analyse factors related to sex behavior and intention to premarital purity on the basis of theory of reasoned action. A structured Questionnaire was developed on the basis of Triandis model. Survey was conducted to 1662 unmarried person in high school students, college students, and workers. The results are as follows. For the factor of sexual behavior, male, older age had higher experience to sexual relationship, but for the factor of premarital purity, female and workers than student had higher consciousness of purity. Positive attitude to premarital purity, expectation toward preservation of purity, parental and social normative influence and facilitating factor such as experiences of sex education showed significant relationship to intention of premarital purity. Also multiple logistic regression showed that health behaviors such as smoking and drinking, sex and job were statistically significant factor for sex behavior. The result of this study suggest that educational program sex as well as good health behavior should developed and theory-based models in conducting health education research.
