폴리머코어 게이트 크기 변화가 두께 방향 수축률에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 (A study on the effects of polymer core gate sizes on thickness shrinkage rate)

  • In this study, the variation of the shrinkage in the thickness direction of the molded parts according to the gate size of the polymer core fabricated through the 3D printer using the SLS method was studied. The polymer cores are laser sintered and the powder material is nylon base PA2200. The polymer cores have lower heat transfer rate and rigidity than the metal core due to the characteristics of the material. Therefore, the injection molding test conditions are set to minimize the deformation of the core during the injection process. The resin used in the injection molding test is a PP material. The packing condition was set to 80, 90 and 100% of the maximum injection pressure for each gate size. The runner diameter used was ∅3mm, and the gates were fabricated in semicircle shapes with cross sections 1, 2, and 3 ㎟, respectively. Thickness measurement was performed for 10 points at 2.5 mm intervals from the point 2.5 mm away from the gate, and the shrinkage to thickness was measured for each point. The shrinkage rate according to the gate size tends to decrease as the cross-sectional area decreases as the maximum injection pressure increases. The average thickness shrinkage rate was close to 0% when the packing pressure was 90% for the gate area of 1mm2. When the holding pressure was set to 100%, the shrinkage was found to decrease by 3% from the standard dimension due to the over-packing phenomenon. Therefore, the smaller the gate, the more closely the molded dimensions can be molded due to the high pressure generation. It was confirmed that precise packing process control is necessary because over-packing phenomenon may occur.

연료레일 압력과 엔진 속도가 가스연료 시스템에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Fuel Rail Pressure and Engine Speed on Gas Fuel System)

  • 이번 연구는 가스 연료의 연료 공급 시스템에서 분사 압력과 엔진 속도에 따른 연료 분사 특성을 확인하였다. 이번 실험에서 연료 레일 압력은 1.5에서 6.0 bar까지 1.5 bar 단위로 증가시키고, 엔진 속도는 1,000 에서 6,000 RPM으로 1000 RPM 간격으로 설정하였다. 실제 엔진 작동을 고려하여 분사 펄스폭은 각각 2.5 ms, 5.0 ms 및 13.0 ms로 설정하였으며, 이는 각각 엔진 주행상태에서 저, 중 및 고 부하 운전조건에 해당한다. 결론적으로 100cc 연료레일의 경우, 분사 압력 4.5bar에서 가장 우수한 성능을 보였고, 1000 ~ 6000RPM의 엔진 속도에서 엔진 출력을 보장하는 최소 요구 분사량 53 cc을 얻을 수 있다.

머신러닝 기법을 활용한 토압식 쉴드TBM 막장압 예측에 관한 연구 (A study on EPB shield TBM face pressure prediction using machine learning algorithms)

  • 쉴드TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) 터널 시공에 있어 막장압 관리는 막장면 붕괴, 지반침하 등을 방지하여 막장 안정성을 유지하는 데 중요한 역할을 담당한다. 특히, 챔버 내부의 굴착토로 막장압을 조절하는 토압식 쉴드TBM의 경우, 이수식 쉴드TBM에 비해 막장압의 관리가 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 국내 토압식 쉴드TBM 터널 시공 현장의 지반조건 및 굴진특성 데이터를 분석하여, 토압식 쉴드TBM 터널의 세그먼트 링별 막장압 예측모델을 제시하였다. 예측모델의 입력특성으로 7가지를 선정하였으며, 912개의 학습 데이터 세트(Training data set)와 228개의 시험 데이터 세트(Test data set)를 확보하였다. 최적의 토압식 쉴드TBM 막장압 예측모델 선정을 위하여 KNN (K-Nearest Neighbors), SVM (Support Vector Machine), RF (Random Forest), XGB (eXtreme Gradient Boosting) 모델의 하이퍼파라미터(Hyperparameter)를 최적화하여 예측성능을 비교한 결과, RF 모델이 7.35 kPa의 평균 제곱근 오차(Root Mean Square Error, RMSE)로 가장 우수한 성능을 나타냈다. 추가적으로, RF 모델의 특성 중요도(Feature importance) 분석을 수행한 결과, 입력특성 중 수압의 영향도가 0.38로 가장 높았으며, 전반적으로 지반조건이 굴진특성보다 높은 중요도를 보여주었다.

압력 생체되먹임 기구를 이용한 케겔 운동이 최대 수의적 환기량과 배 근육 두께에 미치는 사전 연구 (A Preliminary Study of the Effect of Kegel Exercise Using a Pressure Biofeedback Unit on Maximum Voluntary Ventilation and Abdominal Muscle Thickness)

  • Purpose : Kegel exercises reported that it is effective in managing stress-related or complex urinary incontinence through contraction and relaxation of the pelvic floor muscles. In many previous studies, it was confirmed that Kegel exercise is involved in respiration as well as urinary system diseases. However, there is a lack of research on the effect of pelvic setting when performing Kegel exercises. Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate the effect on maximum voluntary ventilation (MVV) and abdominal muscle thickness through Kegel exercise after lumbar-pelvic motor control using pressure biofeedback unit (PBU). Methods : The subjects of this study were 10 healthy female students in their 20s. Subjects measured MVV with a spirometer. In hooklying, external oblique, internal oblique, and transverse abdominis of the dominant hand were measured using ultrasound. The measured value was an average of three times. After one week of intervention, measurements were made in the same manner. Before Kegel exercise, pelvic setting training was performed using PBU. In hooklying, PBU was placed in the waist and set to 40 mmHg, and it was adjusted to 60 mmHg through pelvic muscle contraction. For Kegel exercise, the pelvis was first set using PBU, and then the pelvic floor muscles were contracted for 8 seconds and relaxed for 8 seconds, 10 times, 1 set, and 3 sets. Results : In MVV, a significant difference was confirmed after exercise than before exercise (p<.05). There was also a significant difference in abdominal muscle thickness before and after exercise (p<.05). Conclusion : Based on the results of this study, Kegel exercise using PBU had an effect on MVV and abdominal muscle thickness. However, since this study was conducted without a control group as a preliminary study, additional research should be conducted to supplement this.

하이브리드 입자-격자 방법에서의 압력장 계산 (Computation of Pressure Fields for a Hybrid Particle-Mesh Method)

  • A hybrid particle-mesh method based on the vorticity-velocity formulation for solving the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations is a combination of the Vortex-In-Cell(VIC) method for convection and the penalization method for diffusion. The key feature of the numerical methods is to determine velocity and vorticity fields around a solid body on a temporary grid, and then the time evolution of the flow is computed by tracing the convection of each vortex element using the Lagrangian approach. Assuming that the vorticity and velocity fields are to be computed in time domain analysis, pressure fields are estimated through a complete set of solutions at present time step. It is possible to obtain vorticity and velocity fields prior to any pressure calculation since the pressure term is eliminated in the vorticity-velocity formulation. Therefore, pressure field is explicitly treated by solving a suitable Poisson equation. In this paper, we propose a simple way to numerically implement the vorticity-velocity-pressure formulation including a penalty term. For validation of the proposed numerical scheme, we illustrate the early development of viscous flows around an impulsive started circular cylinder for Reynolds number of 9500.

도·송수관로의 실시간 운영효율화를 위한 수압계 설치위치 선정 방안 (Pressure sensor placement method for real-time operation efficiency of water transmission mains)

  • Pressure monitoring is expected to be expanded in a water distribution system according to accelerated development of smart water network management technologies caused by appearances of affordable digital infrastructures like computing, storage and bandwidth. However, the placement of pressure sensors has been determined by engineer's technical decisions since there is no well-defined criteria for deciding a suitable location of pressure sensor. This study presents a placement method of pressure sensors based on the consideration of allowable error in calibrating water network analysis modeling. The proposed method is to find a minimum set of pressure sensors for achieving a reliable management of water transmissions main and increasing the efficiency of their real-time operation. In the case study in Y area's transmission main, the proposed method shows equally distributed pressure sensors in terms of hydraulics. It is expected that the proposed method can be used to manage transmission mains stably and construct a robust real-time network analysis system as a minimal criteria.

입.출구의 압력조건에 따른 보텍스 튜브의 에너지분리 특성에 관한 실험적 고찰 (Experimental Investigation for the Characteristics of Energy Separation of a Vortex Tube at Various Inlet and outlet Pressure Conditions)

  • The experimental investigation on energy separation in a vortex tube has been carried out to sow the effect of inlet and outlet pressures with various working fluids(air,$O_2,\;and\; CO_2$). Those outlet pressure means cold outlet and hot outlet pressure which were set equally. The results showed that the total enthalpy variation became a maximum when the mass flow rate at the cold outlet was a half of the total mass flow rate in the vortex tube (y=0.5). The total enthalpy variation was quite affected by the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of vortex tube when the ratio of the inlet pressure to the cold outlet pressure remained constant. Although specific enthalpy differences between the inlet and the outlet (both cold and hot outlet) did not noticeably vary with the pressure difference, the specific enthalpy difference between the inlet and cold outlet was dominantly affected by physical properties of working gases.

일시적인 시각차단이 만성 뇌졸중 환자의 지면 족저압 분포와 족부면적에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Temporary Visual Block on the Foot Pressure and Foot Area of Chronic Stroke Patients)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of temporary visual block existence and nonexistence on the change in foot pressure and foot area in stroke patients. Methods: Sixty-one chronic stroke patients volunteered to participate in the study. Foot pressure and foot area were measured using the Biorescue system. The subject maintain a comfortable standing position on the pressure-measuring plate one meter away from the computer. The sequence of the visual variation data while standing on the measuring plate was collected randomly. The data were collected with three repetitions and used the five-second measuring values except the first second and the last second according to each visual condition. All data were analyzed using SPSS version 21.0. The significance level for the statistical inspection was set as 0.05. Results: The comparison between the visual existence and nonexistence status showed statistically significant effects on foot pressure and foot area. The visual nonexistence status showed more improvement in foot pressure symmetry and area than visual existence status. Conclusion: This study shows that the foot pressure and foot area for the chronic stroke patients changed according to the visual states. It is predicted that these data will be used in rehabilitation training programs and to present temporary changes in visual status for stroke patients.

  • In this study, the two-phase incompressible flow in two-dimensional channel considering the effect of surface tension is simulated using an improved level-set method. Quadratic element is used for solving the continuity and Navier-Stokes equations to avoid using an additional pressure equation, and Crank-Nicholson scheme and linear element are used for solving the advection equation of the level set function. Direct approach method using geometric information is implemented instead of the hyperbolic-type partial differential equation for the reinitializing the level set function. The benchmark test case considers various arrays of defomable droplets under different flow conditions in straight channel. The deformation and migration of the droplets are computed and the results are compared very well with the existing studies.

디젤 발전기세트의 구조진동특성 연구 (Analysis and Prediction of Structural Vibration for Diesel Engine Generator Set)

  • The structural vibration of a diesel generator set was investigated through analyses and tests. FE modeling and normal mode analysis were performed and compared with measured results for both structure components and generator set assembly. The results of component analyses were fairly well coincident with measured results but those of assembled generator set showed more or less discrepancies. Discussions were given about the uncertainties for vibration characteristics of component structures and assembled running structures especially concerning their nonlinearities and damping effects. Detailed excitation analysis fellowed by forced response analysis was done from the engine and pressure data to compare with the actual measured vibration. As results the vibration prediction for frame structures of reciprocating internal combustion engine was confirmed reliable to some extent.
