A Multiple Servers Conference Service System by Media Control Channel/Distributed Conference Manipulation Architecture (미디어 제어 채널/분산 컨퍼런스 매니퓰레이션 구조에 의한 다중 서버 컨퍼런스 서비스 시스템)

  • In this paper, a new multiple servers conference service system using media control channel/distributed conference manipulation architecture has been presented. This conference service system can handle loads effectively from many conference participants. In this suggested architecture, media control channels are established between conference server, and distributed conference manipulation messages for distributing system loads are exchanged through this channels. These messages are transported between servers using media control channel created after stable transport sessions, and can be used to process server loads according to participants effectively. So this method can be used to implement large scale conference service system. For these purposes, formats of distributed conference manipulation messages which transmitted through media control channels are designed. and messages exchange procedures between conference servers are also presented. The performance of the proposed conference service system has been analysed by experiments, and the results show that the performances are improved according to participants.

Effect of school eye health education program on eye health knowledge and practice in middle school students

  • Purpose: This study aimed to examine the effects of an eye health education program on the level of knowledge and eye health practice of middle school students. Methods: This quasi-experimental study was conducted using a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group non-synchronized design. The study participants were from one middle school first graders in a province of Korea. The experimental group was composed of three classes (76 students), and the control group was composed of three other classes (77 students). Pretests were conducted in June for the experimental group and in August for the control group. The experimental group received an eye health education program developed for this study consisting of four sessions in total, given once a week for 45 minutes per session. The control group was instructed by the school's health teacher in the eye health education included in the existing health education curriculum. Posttests were conducted three weeks after the training in the control group and immediately after the fourth eye health education session in the experimental group. Results: After being instructed in the eye health education program, the eye health-related knowledge (t=9.45, p<.001) and eye health practice (t=2.18, p=.031) of the experimental group participating in the education program were higher than those of the control group. Conclusion: The eye health education program was effective in improving middle school student's level of eye health-related knowledge and eye health practice. School health teachers could implement this program as a part of the standard eye health education for middle school students. The long-term effects of practicing eye health behavior needs to be confirmed in a future study.

  • The DVR industry has been grown with their own, proprietary systems without the need of standards because the security products are independently installed in small scale and the communication needs are very limited. The industry might have tighter security than having standardized products, but the appearance of IP surveillance and the need of communications with IP products such as IP Phones and IP-PBX made the standardization unavoidable. In this paper, we built an IP surveillance system with SIP based session control and investigated the applications of it other than the security itself.

  • Recently CCTV system is installed widely purpose to enhanced physical security, gathering criminal evidence and management of facilities. In spite of supporting strong management function, CCTV system has weak security function. Therefore high security management function is required. Generally it's not easy to control the devices under NAT using a NMS(Network Management System). So we design and implement alive check algorithm of CCTV devices under NAT using DVRNS address resolution and TCP session check. We evaluated and analyzed of developed system on real environment which includes about 100 DVRs under NAT. As a result of test, it showed that device alive check and DVRNS address resolution were well performed without any error.

  • ECCOMAS Thematic Conference Multibody 2003 was held at IST (Instituto Superior Technico), Lisbon, Portugal from July 1 to July 4. 2003. And MBDV(Multibody Dynamics and Vibration) in the 2003 ASME DETC was held at Chicago, U.S.A. from September 2 to September 6. In this paper, the presented papers in these conferences were reviewed and the trends in the multibody dynamics are summarized. The session titles in these conferences include Flexible Multibody Dynamics, Vehicle Dynamics, Contact, Biomechanics, Real-time Challenges, Spatial manipulator and Control, Multidisciplinary Applications, and Advanced Education. The poster session was also organized for more discussions in the Multibody2003 conference.

  • 정보 보안 기법 중 접근 제어 기법(Access Control)은 네트워크 기반 어플리케이션에 기본적인 정보 보안 틀을 제공한다. 아울러 권한 기반 접근 제어 기법(RBAC)으로 다양한 권한 요구 사항을 충족하는 네트워크 기반 어플리케이션의 운용이 가능하다. 그러나 Session Scope의 권한 기반 제어 기법으로 동적 페이지들에 대한 접근 제어를 설계 배포 하기는 어렵다. 관점 지향 프로그래밍(AOP)를 이용한 동적 권한 생성으로 Session Scope의 권한과 결합, Request Scope의 권한을 생성해 디자인 레벨에서의 유연한 접근 권한 설계 방법에 대해 제안하며, 구현 후 확인했다.

  • 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 공동 작업 환경의 세션 초기 프로토콜(SIP: Session Initiation Protocol)에서 오류 상호 인지 및 제어에 대하여 기술한다. 상호 인지란 상호 작업 이해, 참여자 관계 설정 등 결합이라는 구현 기술을 말한다. 결합에는 변화하는 내용을 인지하는 동적 인지와 자주 변하지 않는 정적 인지가 있는 데 제안하고자 하는 오류 제어는 멀티미디어 공동 작업 환경에서 오류 발생시 오류도 하나의 응용으로 취급한다. 본 연구에서는 윈도우 오버레이 기능에 세션 제어, 발언권 제어 등을 추가한 윈도우 공유 방법을 제안한다. 공동 작업 환경에 참여하는 모든 사용자들은 사용자의 명령, 또는 오류가 발생된 응용들을 제어 가능하며 상호 작용 가능하다.

  • 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 응용 개발 프레임워크의 세션 초기 프로토콜(SIP: Session Initiation Protocol)에서 다채널 방식을 사용한다. 우선 기본적으로 문자 채널과 제어/오류 제어 채널을 고정할당하며 미디어의 채널을 동적 할당한다. 고정할당 채널은 채널요청이 없어도 세션 개설 요청이 있으면 자동적으로 생성하며, 미디어 데이터는 별도의 채널을 할당하여 채널 별로 단일 미디어 정보를 순서대로 전송 함으로서 동일 미디어 데이터는 순서가 변할 우려는 없다. 그러나 이러한 다채널방식에서는 미디어간 동기화 문제를 유발 시키는데 수신 측에서는 새로 발생된 데이터의 시작 시점을 서로 맞춤으로서 미디어간 동기화를 실현하였다. 새로운 미디어의 시작 시 항상 제어 데이터를 먼저 전송하여 새로운 미디어 데이터의 생성을 모든 참여자 프로세스에 알린다. 수신 측에서는 새로 발생된 데이터의 시작 시점을 서로 맞춤으로서 미디어간 동기화를 실현한다. 오류의 동기화도 동일한 방법을 사용한다.

Development and Evaluation of the Marital Equality Education Program for Women Farmers and their Husband (농촌 부부평등교육 프로그램 개발 및 효과검증)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate the Marital Equality Education Program for women farmers and their husband. Based on the empirical research result of 980 women farmers as basic study for developing this program, marital equality theory, system theory, strong family perspective, stress coping theory, anger control theory, modified Couple Communication Program, marriage enrichment methods, 7 session program was developed. The contents of every session were Reviewing Marriage Relationships, Coping Role Stress, Marital Equality, Self Expression & Speaking, Understanding Spouse & Listening, Anger Control& Resolving Conflict, and Enhancing Marital Relations. The effectiveness of this program was evaluated by pretest, post test, and follow-up 1 month later through 35 rural couples(women farmers and their husband) and it was analyzed by paired t-test and qualitative evaluation was also investigated. The major results were as follows : This program was effective in improving their self-esteem, marital satisfaction, coping role stress & conflicts, and husband's egalitarian role attitude & practice. The results suggested the program had also Positive impacts on the marital equality and relationships. Future research and practical implications were added.

Implementation of small and medium IMS Core Main System (중·소형 IMS 코어 메인 시스템 구현)

  • Service platform which can offer various multimedia communication as the video, audio, voice and data is IMS(IP Multi-Media Subsystem). It is effective in the company is introducing only such convergence IMS services to be required to provide various multimedia services at the lowest cost and existing communication environment while keeping the maximum Therefore, in this study, we had developed IMS 코어 main system that not more than 1,000 employees of companies can effectively establish IMS solutions. This system is located at the middle between IMS terminal and CSCF(Call Session Control Function) in line with IMS services and provides CSCF in response to the IMS terminal and IMS terminal in response to the CSCF. As well, corded telephone and SIP phone which were used as terminal is linked with gateway.
