  • Building information modeling refers to combination or set of technologies and organizational solutions that are expected to increase collaboration in the construction industry and to improve the productivity and quality of the design, construction, and maintenance of buildings. For enhanced communication among project participants, various information which BIM model usually includes is provided, furthermore data which contain exchange of unstructured information is needed. If the extension of BIM standard file format for practical use of design Issue information about collaborative design process is fulfilled, the productivity and quality of design will be improved.

  • This paper describes the principle and the implementation of a heuristic methodology to restore service to the isolated portions of distribution system. With an aim to increase the ease of the maintenance and expansion. Object-oriented technique was adopted to implement the package. UML was officially adopted OMG standard. It simplifies the complex process of software design, making a "blueprint" for construction. Therefore This package can be easily reused.

  • From middle of 90's, SCM had emphasized the importance of connection of all companies which participate to a market, and outsourcing has emphasizes the slim structure of companies for pursing cost reduction and service improvement. But outsourcing as '2-1=1' and integration as '1+1=2' not adapt to the advanced market but return to the former state. Besides, it is impossible of subcontractors and logistics companies to execute these strategies which are win-win strategy and outsourcing. So many logistics companies have sharp competition in price recently. Therefore logistics companies have increased the need for a profitable business model and strategy. This paper researches the limitations of logistics market and redefines the role of logistics through the evolution of logistics. Also this paper proposes new role(Logister) and structure(Velcro structure) for not maker-oriented logistics but market-oriented logistics. The introductory case study will help to understand 2 terms(logister and velcro structure).

  • This paper describes a real-time manufacturing scheduling system on Internet using DBR(Drum-Buffer-Rope) scheduling method. We intend to change company-oriented manufacturing scheduling, which has been used at most manufacturing companies, to customer-oriented manufacturing scheduling. Customers can not only choose product kinds, quantities and order due dates, but also evaluate optimum order due date by themselves in real-time through internet and then the results will be converted into practical manufacturing scheduling. If the company cannot meet the customer order due date, it will offer reliable and accurate information to the customers by suggesting the earliest order due date. To evaluate the customer order due date in real time, companies should be able to estimate their accurate production capacity. This research uses Goldratt's DBR scheduling method to realize that function. The DBR scheduling does not recognize the production capacity of the whole company, but only of the constraint resources which have a great effect on the company throughput. Thus, it can improve the customer service level as well as the profit by performing more dynamic and reliable scheduling through Internet.

  • In this paper we present database model for Intelligent Peripheral (IP) of Advanced Intelligent Network (AIN). The new model is developed through four phase. (1) An information of AIN IP is classified that would be stored in AIN IP database as specialized resources, service. schema and system information. (2) The modeling criteria are developed that would be used to model information classified. (3) Object-oriented concepts are used in modelifl8 classified information according to modeling criteria captured. (4) Methods applied to developed model are grouped, and active-based mechnisms such as trigger and constraints are developed. These selected methods and attributes are encapsulated into objects. Consequently they compose an active object-oriented AIN IP database model.

  • Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a technology used to identify the physical objects and get information about the object on which the tag attaches from network. It is expected that RFID will lead IT market from human-oriented to object-oriented. Therefore, RFID technology and services will become wide-spread. But the system of RFID naming service is quite similar to the existing DNS facilities. So it has many weak points against to DDos attack. Furthermore if the MDS server Is under attack, there might be trouble of total RFID networks.In this paper, we propose a new detecting model to find attack traffic at local routers by using Management Information Base (MIB) which is optimized for RFID MDS server.

  • Well organized and easy usable Grid management system is very important for executing various Grid applications and managing Grid computing environment. Moreover, information system which can support Grid management system by providing various Grid environment related information is also one of the most interesting issue in the Grid middleware system area. Effective cooperation between Grid management system and information system can make a novel Grid middleware system. Especially, service oriented architecture based Grid management system is flexible and extensible for providing various type of Grid services. Also, information system based on data mining process which comprises various different kinds of domains such as users, resources and applications can make Grid management system more precise and efficient. In this paper, we propose semantic Grid middleware system which is a combination of Grid management system and semantic information system.

  • To provide information service with time constraints, it is required to support real-time information system for retrieval and update of distributed information. In this paper, we propose an information retrieval system model for internet. We design and implement a Domain Administration-Oriented search engine for the regional information network. Accordingly, an intelligent robot gathering and updating distributed information is implemented. And, in order to improves the performance of the system, a realtime robot control policy based on the loads of network and web server is proposed.

  • This paper describes a design and application of middleware that is essential to the context-aware system. We define a transducer interface protocol in order to deal with a variety of context data. For the purpose of systematic process of data between middleware modules, a message oriented middleware is designed and implemented. Memory improves the performance of high-performance computing system compared to previous strategies. Context aware middleware adopts service oriented architecture so that functions in modules may be independent and scalability can be remarkable. Using messages across modules decreases the complexity of the application development. In order to justify the usefulness of the proposed context aware middleware, we carried out our experiments in bridge health monitoring system and verified the efficacy.

  • Real-time(RT) object-oriented(OO) distributed computing is a form of RT distributed computing realized with a distributed computer system structured in the form of an object network. Several approached proposed in recent years for extending the conventional object structuring scheme to suit RT applications, are briefly reviewed. Then the approach named the TMO (Time-triggered Message-triggered Object) structuring scheme was formulated with the goal of instigating a quantum productivity jump in the design of distributed time triggered simulation. The TMO scheme is intended to facilitate the pursuit of a new paradigm in designing distributed time triggered simulation which is to realize real-time computing with a common and general design style that does not alienate the main-stream computing industry and yet to allow system engineers to confidently produce certifiable distributed time triggered simulation for safety-critical applications. The TMO structuring scheme is a syntactically simple but semantically powerful extension of the conventional object structuring approached and as such, its support tools can be based on various well-established OO programming languages such as C++ and on ubiquitous commercial RT operating system kernels. The Scheme enables a great reduction of the designers efforts in guaranteeing timely service capabilities of application systems
