Recently, a new theoretical and methodological approach for computational science is becoming more and more popular for analyzing and solving scientific problems in various scientific disciplines and applied research. Computational science is a field of study concerned with constructing mathematical models and quantitative analysis techniques and using large computing resources to solve the problems which are difficult to approach in a physical experimentally. In this paper, we present R&D of EDISON open integration platform that allows anyone like professors, researchers, industrial workers, students etc to upload their advanced research result such as simulation SW to use and share based on the cyber infrastructure of supercomputer and network. EDISON platform, which consists of 3 tiers (EDISON application framework, EDISON middleware, and EDISON infra resources) provides Web portal for education and research in 5 areas (CFD, Chemistry, Physics, Structural Dynamics, Computational Design) and user service.

The purpose of this study was to investigate salinity and sodium content in foods served at industry foodservice operations in selected workplaces in Daegu. The researcher collected 1,142 food items categorized into 22 menu item groups from lunch samples served at 100 industry foodservice operations and measured the salinity of the food items, and calculated sodium and salt contents from the salinity. In terms of salt content of one meal at each workplace, 46% of the meals were 3-<5 g, and only 3.0% of them were 1.7 g or less, which is one third of the daily target intake (5 g) presented by the Dietary Reference Intakes for Koreans. In terms of sodium content, 35.3% of the meals were 1,000-< 1,500 mg (most), and only 2.5% of them were 667 mg or less, which is, again, one third of the daily target intake. As to the salinity of each menu item group, side dishes such as sauces, kimchi, seasoned vegetables, hardboiled foods, and stir-fried foods were significantly higher, but the sodium content was not higher, because their quantity per serving was small. The salinity of foods with liquid such as stews, noodles, soups, and broths was relatively lower, but the sodium content was higher, because their quantity per serving was large. This indicates that an education program should be developed for foodservice workers who prepare food for the workplace regarding the development and promotion of various menus for reducing sodium content, in order to reduce sodium content in meals served by food service in the workplace.
Objective: This study aims to investigate subjects in recuperation to identify the following factors with regard to work-related musculoskeletal diseases: diagnosis in the context of occupational and environmental medicine; assessment systems for judging work-relatedness; recuperation management; workplace management; prevention programs; and care after returning to work. This study intends to analyze differences between subjects and determine what characteristics of subjects account for the differences. Method: A survey was administered to 1,664 workers who were approved by the Korea Worker's Compensation & Welfare Service between 2003 and 2005 for recuperation due to work-related musculoskeletal diseases. The data of 229 subjects who responded the survey questionnaire related to recuperation were analysed. Results: According to the results, demographic, occupational, and musculoskeletal disease-related factors were significant. The demographic factors included gender, age, marital status, and region, while occupational factors included working period, work type, size of workplace, and industry type. The factors related to musculoskeletal diseases were the part of the body in pain, the tissues in pain, and the existence of dysfunction. The above factors were associated with statistically significant differences in the following areas: revealed symptom period, symptoms-diagnosis period, and application for recuperation approval periods; diagnosis and care institutes for recuperarion; the state of patients (body parts in pain, tissues in pain, and existence of dysfunction); return to work; and care after returning to work. Conclusion: The results of this study can serve as basic data in setting priorities for prevention programs for work-related musculoskeletal diseases and selecting target groups.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of each type after categorizing the clothing lifestyle of 394 male office workers in their 30s and 50s. The data were analyzed with PASW 18.0 using frequency analysis, k-means cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA and crosstabs analysis. According to findings, first of all, types of clothing lifestyle are divided into 4 groups: a type of fashion leader(22.3%), a type of price sensitive(12.2%), a type of fashion indifference(27.9%), a type of normcore fashion(37.6%). Secondly, the types of clothing lifestyle showed statistically significant difference age, marital status, job and monthly average household income of socio-economic variables. Thirdly, the types of clothing lifestyle showed statistically significant difference monthly average appearance care cost, suit count, monthly average clothing purchase cost, average purchase cost of one suit.
The purpose of this study is to test the reliability and validity test of PWI to utility of PWI. this newly developed by Sejin Jang which measures stress. The subject were 186 workers in service area. Cronbach's a and Guttman split-half coefficient is used to test the reliability of PWI. Factor analysis and the correlation of the GHQ-60. GHQ-30, GHQ-28, GHQ-20, and GHQ-12 with the PWI is used to convergent validity and discriminant validity. The important results of this study are as follows : Cronbach's $\alpha$ coefficient of data was 0.894 and Guttman split-half coefficient was 0.7097. The PWI was classified as 13 principle component (eigenvalue>1.0). After exploring 4 factor structure according to previous study result, 4 factors was explained 40.5% out of the total variance. The factor 1 was explained 15.9% and then the rest three factor was 24.6%. Factor 2 and 4 showed good agreement but factor 1 and 3 did not. Depression-related items were classified two factors. Anxiety and depression-related items were loaded unifactor. It was not clear that the PWI was consist of 4 concepts(factors). The correlation of the GHQ-60, GHQ-30, GHQ-28, GHQ-20, and GHQ-12 with the PWI were 0.744~0.905. According to findings of this study. the PWI showed a high degree of validity and reliability. Thus it is recommended to use the PWI in general setting for screening for stress. In addition, it is necessary to clarify the concept of depression and anxiety. In the further study. it my be considered to the factor structure of PWI and studied to two or unidimensional factor structure.
In order to prepare for the introduction of the E-Discovery system from the United States and to cope with some causable changes of legal systems, we propose a general E-Discovery process and essential tasks of the each phase. The proposed process model is designed by the analysis of well-known projects such as EDRM, The Sedona Conference, which are advanced research for the standardization of E-Discovery task procedures and for the supply of guidelines to hands-on workers. In addition, Machine Learning Algorithms, Open-source libraries for the Information Retrieval and Distributed Processing technologies based on the Hadoop for big data are introduced and its application methods on the E-Discovery work scenario are proposed. All this information will be useful to vendors or people willing to develop the E-Discovery service solution. Also, it is very helpful to company owners willing to rebuild their business process and it enables people who are about to face a major lawsuit to handle a situation effectively.
The issue of child care in family policy is one of the most important agendas. It is the primary task for a welfare state to form such conditions as socializing it to ensure labor rights and parental rights. The aim of this study is to review any controversies in the agenda of free choice in child care. But real 'free choice' comes true when all community members as individuals are able to enjoy their rights as both workers and parents without any restriction and sexual discrimination in the labor market. But in reality 'free choice' has not been realized in our society. This study is based on the analysis of these issues in free choice - the concepts of liberty, equity and equality, the role of the state, financial efficiency and the status of women in the labor market. Based on the analysis of the issues in accordance with the criteria, I suggest some policy recommendations: adequate and sufficient child care services, the introduction of univer sal child benefits and the expansion of public child care facilities.

Objectives: To investigate safety and health management, conditions in factories or facilities handling radiation-generating devices and radioactive isotopes were reviewed in terms of regulations of radiation safety control in Korea. Radiation exposure levels generated at those facilities were directly measured and evaluated for establishing an effective safety and health management plan. Methods: Government organizations with laws and systems of radiation safety and health were investigated and compared. There are three laws governing radiation-related employment such as occupational safety and health acts, nuclear safety acts, and medical service acts. We inspected 12 workplaces as research objects:four workplaces that manufacture and assemble semiconductor devices, three non-destructive inspection workplaces that perform inspections on radiation penetration, and five workplaces in textile and tire manufacturing. Monitoring of radiation exposure was performed through two methods. Spatial and surface monitoring using real-time radiation instruments was performed on each site handling radiation generating devices and radioactive isotopes in order to identify radiation leakage. Results: According to the occupational safety and health act, there is no legal obligation to measure ionizing radiation and set dose limits. This can cause confusion in the application of the laws, because the scopes and contents are different from each other. Surface dose rates in radiation generating devices such as implanters, thickness gages and accelerators, which were registered according to nuclear safety acts, using surveymeters, and seven of 36 facilities(19.4%) exceeded the international standards for surface radiation dose of $10{\mu}Sv/hr$. Conclusions: The results showed that occupational health and safety acts require a separate provision for measuring and assessing the radiation exposure of workers performing radiation work. Like noise, ionizing radiation will also periodically be controlled by including it in the object factors of work-environment measurement.
This study was evaluated the indicators of GRI guideline LA6-LA9 for industrial safety sanitation field on 22 domestic sustainable management reports and 46 overseas reports published by companies in 2007 and 2008, was developed new indicators with emphasis on industrial safety sanitation act, and was assessed whether they are released. As a result, LA6(Percent of total workforce represented in formal joint management-work health and safety committees that help monitor and advise on occupational health and safety programs) was evaluated highest in release ratio on whether to release the reports by each indicator of industrial safety sanitation field using domestic sustainable management report GRI guideline, and in the case of overseas companies, it was evaluated that there is no companies that release all from LA6 through LA9 among GRI guideline, but it was grasped that the ratio of partial release is high. As for the release of indicators was developed with the use of industrial safety sanitation act of 22 domestic companies, the release of indicator No. 1(report and industrial disaster record) and 10(health diagnosis) of industrial safety sanitation act was high. This study is meaningful in that it analyzed the industrial safety sanitation field of sustainable management report(CSR) that has not been attempted so far with the use of new indicators developed with emphasis on GRI guideline and industrial safety sanitation act.
This study has the purpose to reveal the differences of residents' using behaviors of living facilities at 3 complexes. The physical characteristics of the complexes have been investigated by a literature study and field survey. In addition, questionnaires were answered by residents on living facilities using behavior on community environment. The tools of analysis are frequency, percentage, and cross tabulation using SPSS WIN 12.0 program. Followings are the results of the study. 1) The developmental concept of 3 complexes maintained its initial identity. (1) The residence-oriented complex, having wider residential space, had better downtown access and more convenient facilities for daily life. (2) The residence-government mixed complex, constructed with an eco-friendly concept, had wider green and public service space and good downtown access but on the other hand, had less convenience facilities because of a short period from construction. (3) The residence-industry mixed complex, located in sub-urbanity and conceding more land for industries, had poor access to downtown but had more convenient facilities for workers' use. 2) The most frequently visited convenience facilities were shopping facilities, large or small, and banks, and activities were commonly done in the complex or adjacent area. This means it is recommended that the developer of the new complex locate convenience facilities in multi-core concentration types or street types rather than one-core concentration types.
