  • The WTO's dispute settlement system has played a significant role in settling trade disputes between countries, and its function and role have been expanded by handling about 596 disputes since its establishment in 1995. This shows that the WTO's dispute settlement system is gaining enormous trust among member countries that it recognizes as a fair, effective, and efficient system for resolving trade disputes. The U.S. remains uncooperative in the WTO dispute settlement system, citing disregard for the 90-day deadline for appeals, continued service by persons who are no longer A.B. members, issuing advisory opinions on issues not necessary to resolve a dispute, A.B. review of facts, and review of a member's domestic law de novo. The A.B. claims its reports are entitled to be treated as a precedent. These problems should be gradually improved through various discussions and agreements by establishing a multilateral forum for resolving disputes and gradually ending the problems through reform of the DSU.

  • Based on a survey conducted on 125 students in the Department of Computer Engineering at K University, the following results were obtained by analyzing ways to improve academic ability. Male students should pay more attention to grade points management than female students before completing their military service. Students with high self-assessed academic ability score higher than students with low self-assessed academic ability. As long as students don't spend too much time, a student's part-time job is not an obstacle to their study. Compared to Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon regions, students from Gangwon and other regions should pay special attention to some pre-classes to understand regular university lectures. In undergraduate education, a student's major aptitude is not a big problem. In order to change major, students need counseling about their major's aptitude only at the beginning semester. In order to get good grades, the achievement of the will to study is more important than the will to study itself. Professors should encourage students to review what they have learned in class after class and always assure students sincerity in their studies through the counseling process.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the problems and improvement areas by reviewing the laws related to kindergarden healthcare workers. Methods: The laws were searched at the Korean law information center (https://www.law.go.kr/). We reviewed the 「Early Childhood Education Act」, 「School Health Act」, 「Medical Service Act」, 「Elementary and Secondary Education Act」and their enforcement decrees and rules. Results: The legal role of health teachers as school healthcare professionals was comprehensively specified by the 「School Health Act. However, the qualifications for and roles of health teachers were not fully described in 「Early Childhood Education Act], indicating a unclear legal basis for the qualifications for and roles of kindergarten health teachers. To support healthcare workers in kindergartens, it is necessary to amend the 「Early Childhood Education Act」 that provides the guidelines for qualifications for kindergarten health teachers in elementary, secondary, and special schools who have completed necessary continuing education. A health hub kindergarten could be a step-by-step option for all kindergartens to have healthcare workers. Conclusion: This review demonstrated the importance of amending the laws on kindergarten health teachers and health hub kindergartens for child health and safety. These findings could be used to support policies related to kindergarten healthcare workers.

  • This study analyzes research trends by systematically examining research about domestic emergency medical services' clinical practice, and it is aimed to present the basic data needs in development plan in clinical practice education in the future. The thesis was searched through the electronic data research (Science Direct, PubMed, Medline, and 55 academic DB interworking) from the library of Konyang University from 2010 to 2021. The main keywords were "Emergency Medical Technician(EMT) Student" and "Clinical Practice," and 6 pieces of researches were selected, finally. As the result of analyzing the qualitative level of selected research, all the 6 pieces of research subjects(100.0%) were pertinent to level IV(survey research) which is low-qualitative level. As the principal subjects, "Clinical practice experience" got the highest frequency as 6(100%), "Satisfaction of clinical practice" was 3(50%), "Self-efficient, Major satisfaction" and "Stress, Depression, Coping" showed 2 (33.3%), and "Change after clinical practice", "Clinical practice improvement plan" was 1(16.7%) each. From this time on, it is confirmed that the quantitative and qualitative growth in domestic emergency medical clinical practice is necessary. This is expected to contribute to establishing a practical and systematic development plan of clinical practice education.

  • Recent updates in genomic-integrated glioma classification have caused confusion in current clinical practice, as management protocols and health insurance systems are based on evidence from previous diagnostic classifications. The Korean Brain Tumor Society conducted an electronic questionnaire for society members, asking for their ideas on risk group categorization and preferred treatment for each individual diagnosis listed in the new World Health Organization (WHO) classification of gliomas. Additionally, the current off-label drug use (OLDU) protocols for glioma management approved by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (HIRA) in Korea were investigated. A total of 24 responses were collected from 20 major institutes in Korea. A consensus was reached on the dichotomic definition of risk groups for glioma prognosis, using age, performance status, and extent of resection. In selecting management protocols, there was general consistency in decisions according to the WHO grade and the risk group, regardless of the individual diagnosis. As of December 2022, there were 22 OLDU protocols available for the management of gliomas in Korea. The consensus and available options described in this report will be temporarily helpful until there is an accumulation of evidence for effective management under the new classification system for gliomas.
