  • The objective of this study was to differentiate the beef species between Hanwoo and Holstein from a total of 1,081 beef samples using PCR-RFLP of MC1R gene. When a PCR product of 403 bp specific band amplified from bovine MC1R gene sequence was digested with restriction enzyme MspA1I, Hanwoo type showed 2 bands, 220 bp and 183 bp size bands. Holstein type, however, showed three bands, 220 bp, 138 bp and 45 bp size band, respectively. The results of the differential test for beef species were as following; 7 samples (0.64%) were determined to Holstein type, of which 4 were submitted from administrative authorities, other 3 from self-collection planing, and none from civilian clients including school.

  • The purposes of this study was to examine the college students'value and the status of their clothing purchasing behavior, and to compare the correlation between both of them. The questions were centered on 511 students who are attending the universities in Seoul. The results of this study were as follows. First, most students have higher value on politics, economy, and theory in the order listed. Male-students were interested in theory, while female-students were more interested in politics. Second, when they purchase their clothes, the factor of decision was based on design and their observation was another important factor. As for selecting shops, they considered the product as the most important factor and then the service & transportation. Third, I inspected the correlation between their value & the status of their clothing purchasing behavior. The students with lower theoretical value considered the quality as a purchasing factor, and the service as a purchasing factor, common shop as a purchasing shop, adn the convenient transportation system as a factor of selecting a shop.

  • The main objective of this study is to investigate the determinants of consumer trust in e-business. It examines consumer perceptions trust in a Web site and address following research questions: What factors influence consumer trust in a Web site and what specific Web site cues are associated with trust and satisfaction? We test our hypothesis in a empirical data from 568 consumers across 4 Web sites. By factor analysis, the results show that Web site characteristics are such as product information and purchase process , system stability, navigation, privacy(security), design, information of seller, pay methods, and customer service. We also find that brand and Web site characteristics such as Web site design, navigation, privacy(security), and customer service can explain over 59% of the variance in Web site trust and 60% in satisfaction. The results offer important implication for Web site strategies that include the manipulation of factors influencing Web site trust. And the future directions of the present research are discussed.

  • Objectives : This study compared Value added to personnel expenses between 12 private general hospitals and 12 regional public hospitals, based on location and size, to examine industry competitiveness in terms of management. Methods : From 2011 to 2015, the value added and value added to personnel expenses were calculated by year. and a SPSS statistical program was used to determine and influential factors between private general hospitals and regional public hospitals. Results : The total value added to personnel expenses was 26.85 percent lower than general hospitals compared to regional public hospitals. The product category most influenced by the value added to personnel expenses was Stationeries & expendables at general hospitals and Outsourcing at regional public hospitals. Conclusions : Regional public hospitals have relatively low value added to personnel expenses compared to the general hospitals. Therefore, it is necessary for hospital management to reexamine gross revenue relative to total manpower.

  • Babesia equi ema-1 5' intergenic(IG) nucleotide was PCR amplified and analyzed for restriction sites in order to identify a promoter region in this IG nucleotide sequence. B equi ema-1 5' IG specific primers identified a 1268 bp PCR product. The sequence had restriction sites for 34 restriction enzymes when analyzed by a computer program. Among them, 26 enzymes had only one restriction site, but the others had more than one sites. When four restriction enzymes (Bgll , HindⅢ, Kpn1 and BamH1) were treated to digest the 1268 bp nucleotide, they had restriction sites as expected by the computer program. Information of restriction sites in the 1268 bp IG nucleotide will be applied to select restriction enzymes for cloning the IG nucleotide to a vector.

  • Sensor network supports data delivery from Physical world to cyber space. Sensors get physical events then wireless network transfers sensor data to service server. We use sensor network technology to light control system for intelligent building. In ubiquitous computing environment. wireless sensor network is basic tool for intelligent service. In this paper, we propose intelligent building light control system based on wireless sensor network. It is implemented using previous light control product, can be adopted to present building light system.

  • Customer satisfaction is an ever-growing concern of management throughout the world. To find the way to increase customer satisfaction, we must understand customer requirements. Kano distinguishes between three types of product requirements (must-be, one-dimensional, attractive requirement) which influence customer satisfaction in different ways when met. In this paper, potential customer satisfaction improvement (PCSI) index was developed using Kano model and CS coefficient. Timko has developed customer satisfaction (CS) coefficient based on Kano model. The PCSI index represents how much a service feature can increase the degree of customer satisfaction when the service feature is fully fulfilled. In order to explain the meaning of PCSI index, a case syudy of a Family Restaurant is done. It is also discussed how to use the index strategically.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the user's attitude and usage of smart banking application in terms of user's benefits and personalization. While the prior researches on mobile banking adoption focus on the characteristics of service itself, this paper intends to investigate the smart banking application in terms of user's benefits, which are personal value consumers attach to the product or service attributes. Based on prior studies functional benefits, social benefits, experiential benefits, and personalization are identified as affecting factors of the user's attitude and usage of smart banking application. According to the results of multiple regression analysis, all benefit factors(functional benefit, experimental benefit, social benefit) and personalization were found to be significantly related to the user's attitude. Users' attitude on smart banking was found to be significantly related to the real usage as well. This paper has value in that it investigates the attitude and usage of smart banking in terms of benefits.

  • Understanding the satisfaction and dissatisfaction of employees has been deemed important for smooth and efficient food service management. The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between the dishwashing employees' job satisfaction and the operational and managerial factors in hospital foodservice systems. A survey of twenty conventional hospital food service systems was undertaken and detailed information was collected from 280 dishwashing employees through mailed questionnaires. Dishwashing employees' satisfaction was evaluated by measuring their job attitudes towards four aspects of their job using the modified Job Description Index (JDI). Descriptive analysis and Pearson product moment correlation analysis were used to analyze the data. The dishwashing workers were found to be more satisfied with their interpersonal relations with co-workers than with work content, pay or promotional opportunities. The demographic variables including education, type of employment and work experience were significantly related to job satisfaction. As the ratio of supervisors to dishwashing workers increased, the degree of satisfaction in dishwashing workers increased significantly.

  • It is obvious that electrical safety cannot be secured soley by the efforts from public sector including government. With the global trend of deregulation as WTO/TBT agreement comes into effect, foreign countries strive to minimize unnecessary and inefficient regulations in every field by sharing responsibilities with the privae sector to secure international competency in trade. To this same end, in this paper 2 level approach plan is suggested to pave the way to the self-security system in electrical field by introducing self-reliance safety system by stage for pre-service inspection on the electrical installations for private use based on product requirements in terms of performance.
