Effect of Service Education of Korean Restaurants' Employees on Service Orientation and Organizational Effectiveness (한식당 종사원의 서비스 교육이 서비스 지향성과 조직유효성에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, an empirical analysis was made with intent to establish an appropriate marketing business strategy for customers by inquiring into the effect of service education of 250 Korean restaurant employees, who provide services for foreign tourists in Seoul area as professional customers, on service orientation and organizational effectiveness. The result is summarized as follows. The effect of service education of Korean restaurants' employees on service orientation showed that the typicality, reliability, confidence and empathy have a positive effect on the service orientation. For the effect of service orientation on organizational effectiveness, the service orientation had a positive effect on the job satisfaction and organizational effectiveness. In other words, it was proven that the typicality, reliability, confidence and empathy of employees education are key mechanisms in improving their behaviors and attitudes to aim for important customer-centered services. Consequently, the backup of these attitudes and customer-oriented behaviors can be connected to the increase of productivity, which enhances the organizational effectiveness.

  • According to software growth, also software maintenance has been continuously improving. In addition, the existing concept of correct maintenance demands operational management and improvement of service. However, we have various limitation matters to reflect the requirements of service base for maintenance accomplishment. Therefore, we need the study of the service based process for solving such a problem. In this paper, we propose a Service based Software Maintenance Process. Proposed process based on ISO12207 standard for software development and maintenance and compares it with the service based representative standards. In a related works, we study activity of $SM^{MM}$, ITSCMM, ITIL and find out activities to be concerned with and compare it with activity of ISO 12207 and distinguish the maintenance process activity of the service base from maintenance activities. And then, we propose a service management stage. It define four activities and eight artifacts. Finally, we validate the result by comparing the proposed process with a general service operational process.

  • The objective of this study is to provide faster mobile web service by improving performance of Contents Cache used for mobile web service in the existing Mobile Gate System. It was found that two elements existed in Mark-Up page transcoded by Contents Generator. One of the elements was dependent only on the requested DIDL page and Mark-Up type. The other was dependent on each of the requested DIDL page, Mark-Up type, size of mobile display 모바일 장치 to request service, type of images available and color depth count of the images available. The conventional Contents Cache saved the entire Mark-Up page to hold both of the two elements. This caused the problem where storage space was not effectively used because reusable elements were repetitively saved in cache memory domain due to change in one of the elements even though all the other elements were the same. As a result, a larger number of transcoded Mark-Up pages could not be saved in the same cache memory size. Therefore, in this study, Mark-Up pages transcoded by Contents Generator were divided into two elements and were separately saved. Also, in order to respond to the demand for replacing data in cache with new data, this study applied two algorithms of LFU and LRU. This study proposed the method to implement cache performance of faster speed by enabling to save more number of the transcoded Mark-Up pages in the same cache storage space.

  • Recently, digital contents have become increasingly perceived as a core aspect of national development, and as such their generation and widespread promotion is being now pursued on a global basis, as federal governments move to assist corporations in the realization ofconsistent industrial development. Efforts are also being made to seek avenues for the paid use of qualitatively excellent contents, instead of relying upon traditional methods of free-of-charge provision. International corporations as well as governments are committing themselves to the search for a more developed approach to paid contents. In this report, the role of public institutions in executing plans and promotional strategies for the charging and development of the contents industry is examined. In particular, the case of paid contents is analyzed in relation to the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI), which is assigned the task of contents distribution to the general public in its capacity as a public information service institution, not as a profit-oriented general corporation.

Archival Contents Service for Education in the UK TNA (영국 국립기록보존소(TNA)의 교육용 기록정보콘텐츠 서비스)

  • As the teaching environment of schools has significantly shifted toward using various types of educational contents, the need for the use of educational contents as class resources has increased. Having an archive is an effective way of organizing information that can provide various educational contents. The National Archives (TNA) of the UK has been actively producing and providing educational contents for teachers and students for a long time. The purpose of this study is to analyze in depth the detailed examples and structure of the contents, the process of producing educational contents, and the methods of providing various contents of the TNA, which systematically provides diverse educational contents. It intended to help archivists discover the educational values of archives in providing users with various types of educational contents. Then, the study compared the analysis results with the National Archives of Korea and suggested for its improvement, as well as that of other archives in the country.

  • With the recent development of IT technology, the existing contents have been digitalized through various distribution channels. Accordingly, a lot of studies have been done in order to figure out the distribution and features of digital contents, In these studies, however, categorical characteristics of digital contents were not considered ; most of the previous researchers saw digital contents as only a single item or focused on some contents within particular part such as movie, music, etc. So, this study divides digital contents into movies, music and texts. I was going to study which factors affect Customer Satisfaction in relation with the kind of contents. With SERVQUAL as independent variables, which affect the Customer satisfaction, I used five factors :Design Quality, Information Quality, Security Quality, Communication Quality and Transaction Quality. As for the detailed items, I corrected them with Open-End Question and Pre Survey Research, which are more fit into the features of digital contents. This research conducted Principle Component Analysis, Reliability Test, Correlation Analysis and Regression Analysis. I verified that each factor of Service Qualities has a positive effect on Customer Satisfaction. Moreover, the factors of the effect are different according to the kind of digital contents. This paper was added Exploratory Study to find the best distribute channel. For the study, I search the possible distribute channel in each digital contents and their characteristic.

Service Plan of National R&D Report System Using KANO Model (KANO모형을 이용한 국가R&D보고서 시스템의 서비스 방안)

  • The relationship between a service provided via the information system and user satisfaction has been thought of as an important factor for the development of a new service for the information system. In this study, the twelve new key services that are applicable to national R&D report system were derived by web environment changes in step with IT technology developments in order to support the new service for the user. The twelve new key services are as follows; semantic search service for national R&D report, associated report service, RSS service, mesh-up service, topic-map service, open API service, personalized service, collective intelligence service, SNS service, unstructured data service, detailed search service, mailing service. To assess the quality attribute of the twelve new key services in the national R&D report system, a survey was performed. In conclusion, a stepwise service plan for the national R&D report system was proposed which would use the satisfaction coefficient and the results of the service classification. The following step-by-step service should be developed by in this way. The unstructured data service, personalized service, associated report service, topic-map service, open API service, and the collective intelligence service are needed to develop the first step and RSS service, mesh-up service, semantic search service for the national R&D report, mailing service, detailed search service, and SNS service are needed to develop the second step.

A Study of the National Hangeul Museum for the Foreign Audience : Comparison by major nationality(United State·Japanese·Chinese) (국립한글박물관 외래관람객 방문행태간 연관성 및 차이 분석: 주요 국적별(미·일·중) 외래관람객 비교)

  • This research was designed to seek and plan the foreign tourists visiting the National Hangeul Museum revitalization method; foreign tourists in this research refer to Japanese, Chinese and Americans tourists since they make up the big proportion of foreign tourists visiting the National Hangeul Museum. This research was aimed to seek the visiting revitalization method through correlation analysis among: foreign tourists' visiting purpose, requested improvement on exhibition facility and service, satisfaction level on exhibited contents and service quality, overall satisfaction level on viewing exhibition and behavior intention. As the result of research, tourists visiting purpose from three countries showed a difference; American and Japanese tourists picked 'guidance system in foreign language' while Chinese tourists picked 'experiment programs' as the most requested improvement on exhibition facility and service. Also, Tourist' satisfaction level on exhibited contents and service quality showed a difference among tourists from three countries; American tourists' satisfaction level was shown higher than that of Japanese and Chinese tourists. In addition, American tourists' overall satisfaction level on exhibition and behavior intention after viewing the exhibition in National Hangeul Museum tends to be higher than that of Japanese and Chinese tourists. Based on this research, visiting revitalization method to attract more foreign tourists to the National Hangeul Museum, such as contents development is suggested in the research.
