Esophagel atresia and tracheoesophageal fistula may occur as separate entities but usually occur in combination. First described by Durston in 1670, esophageal atresia was not successfully treated until 1939 when Ladd in Boston and Leven in St. Paul obtained the first survivors utilizing the methods of gastrostomy, esophagostomy and extrapleural ligation of the tracheoesophageal fistula as multiple operations which required months of hospitalization. Two years later Cameron Haight performed the first successful primary repair and afterward about 2000 cases of esophageal atresia with distal tracheoesophageal fistula reported in the world. In Korea, there appeared about 27 cases in the literature and 8 successful repaired cases noted in these year. Anther report two cases of esophageal atresia, of which one case was successfully treated with Haight`s method. Case 1.: Normal full term delivered boy with chief complaints of respiratory difficulty and persistent drooling with chocking, 3. lkg, was admitted with emergency 5 hours after delivery. Physical findings revealed no specific abnormal signs except distended abdomen and grunting respiration. Esophagograrn and bronchogram revealed proximal esophageal atresia and distal tracheoesophageal fistula proximal to the carina. Parent refused operative therapy and patient died 24 hours after discharge. Case 2. :3. lkg. normal full term delivered girl was admitted 4 days after delivery with chief complaints of regurgitation after feeding, chocking, cyanotic spell and fever since the day after delivery. Physical examination revealed persistent drooling, grunting respiration, and fever with moderate dehydration. Tracheoesophageal suction and fluid therapy with antibiotics improved her condition and subsided ]pneumonic condition. Esophagogram revealed markedly dilated proximal esophagus as blind loop and stomach distended with gas, and repairing operation as Haight`s method was performed on the 7th day after delivery. Patient tolerated all the operative procedure well and recovered uneventfully. Esophagogram on the 7th postoperative day showed passage of the lipiodol through the anastomotic side with moderate stricture, and feeding permitted. Patient tolerated all the feeding amount well and discharged on the 11th postoperative day. Followup revealed intermittent regurgitation after feeding and corrected with bougination.
A study was conducted in order to remove Poly vinyl chloride (PVC) from granular plastic mixture by using Air Table. The motion of plastic particle on Air Table was investigated, and separation test on the plastic mixture with the mixing ratio of PVC 10% and PE 90% was conducted. At the optimum condition obtained from this study, that is frequency of 9.2Hz, air velocity of 1.05 m/sec, End-slope of $7.5 ^{\circ}$, Side-slope of $1^{\circ}$, Feeding speed of 450 g/min, etc., we could separate the PE-PVC mixture to PE (99.96% grade and 98.9% yield) and PVC (88.7% grade and 99.6% yield).

Limited researches are available to demonstrate the effect of TMR (Total Mixed Ration) and SF (Separate feeding) system on ruminal methane production. Two experiments were performed at two different levels of daily feed intake (1.8 and 2.4% of BW) to investigate methane production by using a triplicated $2{\times}2$ Latin square design. Each experiment was conducted using six Holstein steers. Animals were provided either TMR or SF containing 73% concentrate and 27% forage, with the same ration of same ingredients. No differences in daily methane productions (MP) and per dry matter intake (DMI) were observed in both experiments. Relationship for daily methane production on DMI was $MP(g/d)=11.5({\pm}1.3){\times}DMI(kg/d)+14.2$, $R_2=0.73$, p<0.001.

That induced voltage by an electrified railway line is related with the position of telecommunication line between traction power feeding systems is practically varified by measurements in the real field. This experimented fact is conformed with the calculated simulation provided by the ITU-T Directives concerning the protection of telecommunication lines against harmful effects from electric power and electrified railway lines. Therefore it is needed to consider at what position a telecommunication line is parallelized with power feeding line of traction system when an induction phenomenon is evaluated or measurement is carried out besides the length of parallelization and the separate distance between power line and telecommunication line.
Background: Brennan's rodent paw incision model has been extensively used for understanding mechanisms underlying postoperative pain in humans. However, alterations of physiological parameters like blood pressure and heart rate, or even feeding and drinking patterns after the incision have not been documented as yet. Moreover, though eicosanoids like prostaglandins and leukotrienes contribute to inflammation, tissue levels of these inflammatory mediators have never been studied. This work further investigates the antinociceptive effect of protein C after intra-wound administration. Methods: Separate groups of Sprague-Dawley rats were used for quantitation of cyclooxygenase (COX) activity and leukotriene B4 level by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, as well as estimation of cardiovascular parameters and feeding and drinking behavior after paw incision. In the next part, rats were subjected to incision and $10{\mu}g$ of protein C was locally administered by a micropipette. Both evoked and non-evoked pain parameters were then estimated. Results: COX, particularly COX-2 activity and leukotriene B4 levels increased after incision. Hemodynamic parameters were normal. Feeding and drinking were affected on days 1 and 3, and on day 1, respectively. Protein C attenuated non-evoked pain behavior alone up to day 2. Conclusions: Based upon current observations, Brennan's rodent paw incision model appears to exhibit a prolonged period of nociception similar to that after surgery, with minimal interference of physiological parameters. Protein C, which is likely converted to activated protein C in the wound, attenuated the guarding score, which probably represents pain at rest after surgery in humans.
This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of mixed and separate gender feeding on the growth performance and carcass traits of Korean native chickens (KNC) compared to white semi-broilers (WSB) and a commercial broiler (CB) from hatching to 35 days. Here, 240 chicks were used with eight birds per cage in a randomized design with six replicates per breed. For the KNC lines, three groups of males (KNC-M), mixed-gender birds (KNC-FM) and females (KNC-F) were used. The two-phase feeding program used here consisted of a starter phase (days 1 - 21: crude protein [CP] 20% and metabolizable energy [ME], 3,050 kcal·kg-1) and a grower phase (days 22 - 35: CP 18%, 3,100 kcal·kg-1) for a commercial broiler. The WSB and CB were fed the only starter commercial diet. Fresh water and feed were provided ad-libitum. The results revealed that the KNC group had a lower (p < 0.05) body weight (BW) from day 7 and day 35 compared to that of the CB. Furthermore, the KNC group showed a lower (p > 0.05) average daily gain (ADG) relative to that of the CB during the entire experimental period. No difference (p > 0.05) was observed in the shank length among the treatments. There were also no significant differences in the growth performance or carcass traits between the KNC-M and WSB groups or in the genders of the KNC group.

In this paper, we propose DLP(Dual Linear Polarization) stack antenna for private network. The proposed antenna has general stack structure and design airgap between two substrate to obtain the maximum gain. Also, to improve cross polarization isolation, two feeding port is designed to separate for each substrate. The size of each patch antenna is 17.80 mm(W1)×16.70 mm(L1) for lower patch and 18.56 mm(W2)×18.73 mm(L2) for upper patch, which is designed on the FR-4 substrate which thickness (h) is 1.6 mm, and the dielectric constant is 4.3, and which is 40.0 mm(W)×40.0 mm(L) for total size of substrate. From the fabrication and measurement results, bandwidths of 100 MHz (4.74 to 4.84 GHz) for feeding port 1, and 150 MHz (4.67 to 4.82 GHz) for feeding port 2 are obtained on the basis of -10 dB return loss and transmission coefficient S21 is got under the -20 dB. Also, cross polarization isolation between each feeding port obtained

The objective of this study was to evaluate effects of feeding methods on in vitro ruminal fermentation, total gas and methane production in Hanwoo steers. Six Hanwoo steers fitted with rumen cannula (430 ± 21 kg of body weight) were randomly assigned to one of three feeding systems: 1) feeding forage 1 hour after concentrate, 2) feeding concentrate 1 hour after forage, 3) feeding mixed ration. Rumen fluid sampled from each animals was incubated 24 hours with maize or timothy substrates in in vitro. Ruminal pH was increased in feeding method 2 or maize substrate than that of other methods or timothy substrate (P < 0.001). The production of total volatile fatty acid, acetate, propionate, butyrate, and valerate were increased when steers fed diets using feeding method 1 or rumen fluid was incubated with maize substrate (P < 0.001). Increased production of total gas and methane was observed in feeding method 1 and maize substrate compared to those of other methods or timothy substrate (P < 0.001). Due to the inconsistent results between ruminal fermentation and gas production in this study, further research is required to estimate effects of feeding method on enteric fermentation and gas production in in vivo.
This study was conducted to investigate the improvement of primary school lunch program. For this study, status of school lunch program. opinions of students of primary school in Yong-in city were surveyed by anquettes. The results are as follows. Menus of school lunch program were contained main dishes(cooked rice with soybean, cooked barley, cooked sorghum etc.). soups(soy paste soup. soy bean curd etc.) and side dishes(fried chicken, salad, fish cuttlet etc.). Students preferred Chinese and American style food such as Zazang rice Tang su youk, fish cuttlet. Many students disliked Korean style food such as dried radish salad. stir fried mushroom, soybean stew and spinach salad. One-line food service was better than separate food service for school feeding system by opinion of students. In conclusion, present manues of school feedings were not satisfied to students. it is desirable the several type of manue rather than unique manue were served to students.
Esophageal atresia and Tracheoesophageal fistula may occur as separate entities but usually occur in combination. First described by Durston in 1970, esophageal atresia was not successfully treated until 1939 when the first two survivors of staged correction were described by Ladd and Leven. In 1941, Haight and Towsley performed the first successful primary repair. Authors report four cases of esophageal atresia of which two cases were treated surgically in success with Haight`s method. The type of four cases were all the same as upper blind pouch and lower tracheoesphageal fistula. Two of them were associated with verterbral defect, imperforate anus and/or rib fusion. Two cases died within seven days due to parent`s refusal for operative therapy, others were treated surgically with Haight`s method. Operative patients tolerated all the operative procedure and recovered uneventfully, permitted feeding on 7th postoperative day. On follow up study, one patient revealed intermittent regurgitation and corrected with bougienation another with good health without complication.
