  • Monosaccaride hexose, may have different role in embryo development of different species. Glucose, fructose and galactose are glycolysible substrates but their effect on embryo development is not identical. Glucose has negative effect to early embryonic stage in several species whereas it is inevitable after compaction. For fructose, it can support blastocyst formation in hamster, mouse and bovine embryo. Effect of galactose is known as detrimental even at a low concentration while glucose has adverse effect only at high concentration in hamster. (omitted)

  • Systematic investigations to develop an efficient enantioselective synthetic method for a-alkyl-alanine by the catalytic phase-transfer alkylation were performed. The alkylation of 2-naphthyl aldimine tert-butyl ester, 1 E with RbOH and O(9)-allyl-N-2'3'4'-trifluorobenzylhydrocinchonidinium bromide, 6, at \ulcorner5 \ulcorner\ulcorner showed the highest enantioselectivities, up to 96% ee.

  • Adenosine has been associated with protection of neurons from noxious stimuli both by receplor- and non receptor-mediated mechanisms. Previously we have reported that immunostimulated astrocytes were highly vulnerable to glucose deprivation. In the present study we investigated the effect of adenosine and related nucleotides on the susceptibility of immunostimulated astrocytes to glucose deprivation. (omitted)

  • Park and Ride(P&R) system has not implemented it's intended object in Seoul metropolitan area, still less it didn't impact on diminishing the ridership of urban railway. This paper is focused on analysis of Park and Rail ride user survey of travel behavior and trip chain. We propose the ideal location of P&R in Seoul and stratagies to increase the utilization of P&R.
