Indoor air-conditioning system(IAS) using wireless sensor network serves to reduce the amount of pollution entering the room from outside and also the pollution that is generated indoor. Small-size and lower power wireless sensor node and sensor interface board was designed for indoor air-conditioning system in buildings of offices and industrial establishments. Many sensor nodes forms Ad-hoc network topology using simple forwarding routing to transmit polluting gas concentration data from different rooms to the indoor air-conditioning system. Sensor node analyzes pollution concentration in the each room and air-conditioning system performs to air-distribution and air-inhalation according to room's pollution by regulating the fan of indoor air-conditioning system. To reduce power consumption electrochemical gas sensor was used in the design. Thus the designed system can optimize state of indoor environment. Graphic user interface displays node sate, gas concentration and temperature of each room.
We describe the working principle, the design, and the characteristics of two-chip integrated humidity sensor. The sensing element was manufactured using polyimide. The interface circuits were developed based on a charge redistribution between capacitors. The sensor and signal conditioning chips were packaged together in the same package. The sensor showed excellent linearity over a wide range of relative humidity.
Objective: Research on the transformation of interaction between mobile machines and users through analysis on current gesture interface technology development trend. Background: For smooth interaction between machines and users, interface technology has evolved from "command line" to "mouse", and now "touch" and "gesture recognition" have been researched and being used. In the future, the technology is destined to evolve into "multi-modal", the fusion of the visual and auditory senses and "3D multi-modal", where three dimensional virtual world and brain waves are being used. Method: Within the development of computer interface, which follows the evolution of mobile machines, actively researching gesture interface and related technologies' trend and development will be studied comprehensively. Through investigation based on gesture based information gathering techniques, they will be separated in four categories: sensor, touch, visual, and multi-modal gesture interfaces. Each category will be researched through technology trend and existing actual examples. Through this methods, the transformation of mobile machine and human interaction will be studied. Conclusion: Gesture based interface technology realizes intelligent communication skill on interaction relation ship between existing static machines and users. Thus, this technology is important element technology that will transform the interaction between a man and a machine more dynamic. Application: The result of this study may help to develop gesture interface design currently in use.
Until recently, photogrammetric applications for processing the satellite images and remotely sensed data have been used in different structure of functions and interfaces for sensor modeling by each developer. Thus, a standardized utilization procedure was necessary to solve the problems, such as expandability, cost, inefficiency of sources which were resulted from different approaches. Therefore, National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) provided unified interfaces by developing Community Sensor Model (CSM) to sensor models in same way. In this study, we suggested the method of design and analyzed main functions needed modeling for the frame sensor using CSM Application Program Interface (API) provided by NGA. We also applied the designed structure to the modeling. The implemented CSM was verified by groundToImage and imageToGround. In the future, the active R&D is expected with using CSM due to the cost saving effect of software development and remarkable expandability of sensor.

In this paper, we designed a IoT(Internet of Things) sensor block embedded lightweight house deck structures that can be implemented using Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer(CFRP). Deck-Sensor interconnection interface block via IoT connectivity Hub that can mount external environmental sensors such as fire sensors on the Deck body itself was also proposed. Additionally we described the configuration of devices for data acquisition and analysis based on IoT environmental detection sensors that can be commonly installed and used on these deck bodies. On the other hand, received sensing data based monitoring user interface(UI) also developed and used for sensing data analysis for remote monitoring center. Through the implementation of such IoT-based sensor data transmission and collection analysis devices and UI software, this paper confirmed the availability of CFRP based lightweight House deck structure and possibility of CFRP deck-based IoT sensor data networking and analysis functions.
Recent advancement in wireless communications and electronics has enabled the development of low power sensor network. Wireless sensor network are often used in remote monitoring control applications, health care, security and environmental monitoring. Wireless sensor networks are an emerging technology consisting of small, low-power, and low-cost devices that integrate limited computation, sensing, and radio communication capabilities. Sensor network platform for health care has been designed, fabricated and tested. This system consists of an embedded micro-controller, Radio Frequency (RF) transceiver, power management, I/O expansion, and serial communication (RS-232). The hardware platform uses Atmel ATmega128L 8-bit ultra low power RISC processor with 128KB flash memory as the program memory and 4KB SRAM as the data memory. The radio transceiver (Chipcon CC1000) operates in the ISM band at 433MHz or 916MHz with a maximum data rate of 76.8kbps. Also, the indoor radio range is approximately 20-30m. When many sensors have to communicate with the controller, standard communication interfaces such as Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) or Integrated Circuit ($I^{2}C$) allow sharing a single communication bus. With its low power, the smallest and low cost design, the wireless sensor network system and wireless sensing electronics to collect health-related information of human vitality and main physiological parameters (ECG, Temperature, Perspiration, Blood Pressure and some more vitality parameters, etc.)
A scratch tester was developed to evaluate the adhesive strength at interface between thin-film and substrate(silicon wafer). Under force control, the scratch tester can measure the normal and the tangential forces simultaneously as the probe tip of the equipment approaches to the interface between thin-film and substrate of wafer. The capacity of each component of force sensor is 0.1 N ${\sim}$ 100 N. In addition, the tester can detect the signal of elastic wave from AE sensor(frequency range of 900 kHz) attached to the probe tip and evaluate the bonding strength of interface. Using the developed scratch tester, the feasibility test was performed to evaluate the adhesive strength of thin-film.

This paper presents the design of a smart A/D conversion interface used for measuring the load of a truck. Since the load-cell sensor to be used is very sensitive for weight variation, the interface board must have the low-drift and the A/D conversion for accuracy. A new integrator and comparator has been developed to reduce the offset voltage and the drift current of operational amplifiers and has been adapted into the interface board. Also, a software algorithm has been developed to obtain the stable and accrurate A/D conversion. This software includes a RS-485 communication program to control the interface, which gives a capability of backing-up the calibration data and transferring control data. The test and evaluation of the designed interface has been shown as having the better performance compared to the other types of existing weighing systems and sensor instruments.
In this paper, we described a design and implementation of a sensor node for environmental monitoring. The main focus of design for sensor nodes is to isolate MCU for treating sensors from the RF module for considering various communication environment. The second is to make the interface between MCU and varity of sensor. In addition, we choose a narrow band communication module, cc1020, for the admittance of Korea government comminication law. We also use a uC/OS-II as an operating system which is famous for 8bit MCUs. We showed that the communication performance is sufficient to use the communication module in a out-door environment through several experiments in that it is possible to transmit between loom distance through experiments in a mountain.

In this paper, a portable high efficiency nondispersive infrared(NDIR) $CO_2$ sensor module with a smart device interface is developed. For low power consumption design, an IR LED was used instead of tungsten lamp for light source and an optical waveguide optimized to the sensor module is designed. With the smart device interface, power of the sensor module is applied from the battery of smart phone. The measured data of the sensor module such as $CO_2$ concentration, temperature, and humidity are displayed on the smart phone using android application. From measured results, the developed sensor module shows ${\pm}60ppm$ tolerance error from 0 to 3,000ppm $CO_2$ concentration range among $-10^{\circ}C$ and $50^{\circ}C$ ranges.
