방류수 유량계(전자기유량계, 파샬플룸)의 특성평가 연구 (A Study on Comparison of the Characteristic Test of Discharge Water Flowmeters (Electromagnetic Flowmeter, Parshall Flume))

  • The test of comparing liquid flow calibration system (approved by KOLAS) for accuracy and structure change test was performed in the test bed in order to evaluate the typical characteristics of the electromagnetic flow meters and parshall flume that are generally used in the water discharging facilities. The results of the accuracy comparing test with liquid flow calibration system showed the error of less than 2%. Pharshall plume got error up to -8.3% (low flow) from the flow rate test, but less than 4% from the accumulated flow test because of offset error at high flow rate and low flow rate. Evaluation of structual change test was tested with only parshall flume using structure and it consisted of installation angle (parshall flume and level sensor) and position change. Installation angle, water level sensor angle and position changing test for parshall flume had errors of 3.1%~-9.2%, 0.4%~-5.6% and 0.2%~1.3% respectively. Especially, the error showed the largest increase when the water level sensor measured the point of decreased flow by the structure change. Therefore, error factors (change of straight pipe length, installation of obstacle or effect of foreign substances on water level sensor) that can often occur in the field should be derived and the research for optimized installation method should be carried out continuously.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the proto type sensor installed inside an oil filter in order to detect oil deterioration level. The sensor is made up with two concentric cylinders with constant gap in between and a filter element inside the central area. The size will be designed as similar as real oil filters. The sensor will be tested on a test rig, which is circulating engine oil, with the same size of an oil filter adapting housing as real engines'. It will be measured the capacitance of a sample engine oil, then be able to be gotten the dielectric constant. The changes in the dielectric constant could be correlated with the engine oil deterioration level if the sensor development would be completed. In this paper, it will be shown the test results carrying out under variable temperature conditions at atmosphere pressure.

  • Before the Flap type GATE is introduced until, the Turnstile type GATE was plentifully used. The Turnstile type GATE is used plentifully from the Seoul metro, Busan Transportation Corporation and Korea Railroad Corporation. From the Turnstile type GATE, the micro switch breakdown is occurred by the contact of the micro switch which perceives a Turnstile rotation and the cam. The breakdown is cause of the passenger inconveniently. In order to prevent the breakdown which is caused by Micro switch contact, Microswitch support used the sensor in Turnstile rotation perception.   • Underwater sensor accuracy test which measures the detection range and bearing accuracies of sonar simulates sonar transmitting ping and underwater radiating noise of target vessels. In this test, because the position of sonar target is the reference position of test, the sonar target position should be precisely estimated. Hence, this paper suggests to apply USBL algorithm which adopts cross phase spectrum of received sensor signals, and presents its performance by range and bearing estimation simulations. As a result of simulations, suggested algorithm shows good accuracy for underwater sensor accuracy test near 5㏈ SNR.

  • Recently, LG chemical corporation developed new material called HYPERIER, which has an excellent barrier characteristic. It has many layers which are made of nano-composite within LDPE(Low-Density Poly Ethylene). In order to guarantee the quality of the final product from the production line, a certain test equipment is required to investigate the existence of layers inside the HYPERIER. In this work, ultrasonic sensor based test equipment for investigating the existence of inner layers is proposed. However, it is a tedious job for human operators to check the existence by just looking at the resounding waveform from ultrasonic sensor. Therefore, to enhance the performance of the ultrasonic test equipment, wavelet and PCA(Principle Componet Analysis) schemes are introduced into neural network scheme which is used for classification. To verify the feasibility of the proposed scheme, some experiments are executed.

  • Visual inspection using laser vision sensor was proposed for fast and economic inspection and was verified experimentally. Welding is one of the most important manufacturing processes for automotive and electronics industries as well as heavy industries. The weld zone influences the reliability of the products. There are two kinds of weld inspection tests, destructive and non­destructive test. Even though the destructive test is much more reliable, the product should be destroyed, and hence the non­destructive test such as ultrasonic or X­ray test was used to overcome this problem. However, these tests are not used for real time inspection.

  • 본 논문은 CO센서의 화재에 대한 감지특성을 분석 후 화재감지기로서의 적용성 판단을 하기 위한 논문이다. CO센서의 화재감지기로의 적용성을 판단하기 위해 UL 268에서 규정하고 있는 화재시험실과 유사한 규모의 화재실험장을 설계 제작하고, UL 268에서 제시된 화재시험기준에 준한 실화재실험을 실시하여 화원 종류에 따른 CO센서와 광전식연기감지기의 다양한 화원의 화재에서 발생하는 일산화탄소와 연기에 대한 감지특성을 측정하여 비교 분석하였다. 실험결과 종이화원 및 목재화원과 같이 불완전연소로 진행되는 초기화재에서 CO센서가 광전식연기감지기보다 약 2~3배 빠른 감지특성이 나타났다. 특히, 목재훈소화재에서 CO센서의 감지특성이 매우 우수한 것으로 나타났다.

  • Recently, landslides frequently occur on natural slope and/or man-made cut slope during periods of intense rainfall. With a rapidly increasing population on or near steep terrain, landslides have become one of the most significant natural hazards. Thus, it is necessary to protect people from landslides and to minimize the damage of houses, roads and other facilities. To accomplish this goal, many landslide monitoring systems have been developed throughout the world. In this paper, a simple landslide detection system that enables people to escape the endangered area is introduced. The system is focused on the debris flows which happen frequently during periods of intense rainfall. The system is based on the wireless sensor network (WSN) that is composed of wireless sensor nodes, gateway, and remote server system. Wireless sensor nodes and gateway are deployed by commercially available Microstrain G-Link products. Five wireless sensor nodes and one gateway are installed at the test slope for detecting ground movement. The acceleration and inclination data of test slope can be obtained, which provides a potential to detect landslide. In addition, thresholds to determine whether the test slope is stable or not are suggested by a series of numerical simulations, using geotechnical analysis software package. It is obtained that the alarm should be issued if the x-direction displacement of sensor node is greater than 20mili-meters and the inclination of sensor node is greater than 3 degrees. It is expected that the landslide detection method using wireless senor network can provide early warning where landslides are prone to occur.
