This paper presents an algorithmic sensor value validation technique that can systematically explore the embedded sensor redundancies in complex physical systems and maximize their utilization in validating sensor values. The confidency criteria are developed for checking the consistency of sensor relationships called Causal Relations. Development results are applied to a tubular type supercritical pressure type thermal power plant with rated operational data to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed technique.
The most of important thing when we design a Wireless Sensor Network is resources. You have to consider energy efficient operation When you design Wireless Sensor Network. Because Sensor devices have a limited resources. In this paper, we proposed energy efficiency localization technique in Wireless Sensor Network. We used Cell ID technique for location search. This method can reduce power consumption and the network life time will be extension.
In this paper, we propose a user interface technique based on embedded sensors applying to apps in smart phone. Especially, we implement avata generation application using image filtering technique for photo image in smart phone. In the application, The embedded sensors are used as intuitive user interface to adjust the image filtering effect for making user satisfied effect in real time after the system produced the image filtering effect for avatar. This technique provides not a simple typed method of parameter values adjustment but a new intuitively emotional adjustment method in image filtering applications. The proposed technique can use sound values from embedded mike sensor for adjusting key values of sketch filter effect if the smart phone user produces sound. Similiarly the proposed technique can use coordinate values from embedded acceleration sensor for adjusting masking values of oil painting filter effect and use brightness values from embedded light sensor for adjusting masking values of sharp filter effect. Finally, we implement image filtering application and evaluate efficiency and effectiveness for the proposed technique.

This paper presents an averaging current adjustment technique for reducing the pixel resistance variation in a bolometer-type uncooled infrared image sensor. Each unit pixel was composed of an active pixel, a reference pixel for the averaging current adjustment technique, and a calibration circuit. The reference pixel was integrated with a polysilicon resistor using a standard complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) process, and the active pixel was applied from outside of the chip. The averaging current adjustment technique was designed by using the reference pixel. The entire circuit was implemented on a chip that was composed of a reference pixel array for the averaging current adjustment technique, a calibration circuit, and readout circuits. The proposed reference pixel array for the averaging current adjustment technique, calibration circuit, and readout circuit were designed and fabricated by a $0.35-{\mu}m$ standard CMOS process.

Because forest fire changes the direction according to the environmental elements, it is difficult to predict the direction of it. Currently, though some researchers have been studied to which predict the forest fire occurrence and the direction of it, using the remote detection technique, it is not enough and efficient. And recently because of the development of the sensor technique, a lot of In-Situ sensors are being developed. These kinds of In-Situ sensor data are used to collect the environmental elements such as temperature, humidity, and the velocity of the wind. Accordingly we need the prediction technique about the environmental elements analysis and the direction of the forest fire, using the In-Situ sensor data. In this paper, as a technique for predicting the direction of the forest fire, we propose the correlation analysis technique about In-Situ sensor data such as temperature, humidity, the velocity of the wind. The proposed technique is based on the clustering method and clusters the In-Situ sensor data. And then it analyzes the correlation of the multivariate correlations among clusters. These kinds of prediction information not only helps to predict the direction of the forest fire, but also finds the solution after predicting the environmental elements of the forest fire. Accordingly, this technique is expected to reduce the damage by the forest fire which occurs frequently these days.
Sensor arrays based on chemical sensors produce multidimensional patterns of data that may be used discriminate between different chemicals. For the human observer, visualization of multidimensional data is difficult, since the eye and brain process visual information in two or three dimensions. To devise a simple means of data inspection from the response of sensor arrays, PCA (Principal Component Analysis) or Sammon's nonlinear mapping technique can be applied. The PCA, which is a well-known statistical method and widely used in data analysis, has disadvantages including data distortion and the axes for plotting the dimensionally reduced data have no physical meaning in terms of how different one cluster is from another. In this paper, we have investigated two techniques and proposed a combination technique of PCA and nonlinear Sammom mapping for visualization of multidimensional patterns to two dimensions using data sets from odor sensing system. We conclude the combination technique has shown more advantages comparing with the PCA and Sammon nonlinear technique individually.
An estimation scheme is used for solving two practical problems of the single current sensor technique. To improve the effect of parameter uncertainties the method that identifies motor parameters for AC motor drive systems using the single current sensor technique is presented. And the parameter identification error and its cause atre examined. It gives good performances for identify in parameters and reconstructing phase currents.
An offset problem caused by the static parasitic capacitors is analyzed and then some techniques to reduce their effect on the capacitive position sensor are presented. Also new offset compensation technique is proposed that by adjusting the magnitudes of the modulating signals independently, the charge imbalance between electrodes caused by the parasitic capacitors is eliminated without sensor gain variation. Simulation results are given to validate the proposed compensation technique.

Wireless Sensor Network(WSN) consists of a lot of light-weight sensor nodes with the capability of wireless communication. Studies have been done to improve stability and fault-tolerancy of WSN because the sensor nodes are basically vulnerable to the harsh environment. Specially, the time synchronization among sensor nodes becomes a challenging issue in WSN. All the local times should always keep the same with each other in the sensor field to perform data aggregation and energy-aware communication in WSN. In this paper, a new time synchronization technique is proposed to operate efficiently irrespective of the number of sensor nodes and the number of hops needed to cover all sensor nodes for synchronization. Simulation results show that the proposed technique has the lowest amount of packet traffic among the several time synchronization techniques.
This paper proposes a method to improve the performance of low cost infrared distance sensor. Infrared distance sensor measures the intensity of reflected light and converts it into distance. The proposed method improves the sensing distance of the sensor and makes it operate robustly in various lighting environments. This is achieved by extracting the characteristic curves of the sensor and applying the HDR (High Dynamic Range) technique. The output value of the sensor was obtained by varying the intensity of the infrared input and the exposure time, and the characteristic curve of the sensor was extracted from it.
