  • This study suggests a way through Hong Kong as an alternative strategy for Korean companies to enter Chinese service market which is rapidly expanding due to China's recent policy switch toward service economy. Service market is generally more regulated, labor-intensive, and domestic demand-oriented than goods market, which makes opening of domestic markets to foreigners slow. In case of China, market control and regulations by the State is tighter than other economies. Therefore, it is important to find ways to avoid regulations from the Chinese government if possible. In this sense, this study investigates the China-Hong Kong CEPA and draws its strategic value for entering Chinese service market by comparing it with the Korea-China FTA service sector. In addition, utilizing the difference in tax agreements between Korea-China and China-Hong Kong, and the human network of Hong Kong entrepreneurs in China may play an important role in reducing the risk that might arise in China.

  • Capital gain comes from the transfer gain which is occurring by transferring assets except inventory assets. Our government recently has made capital gain tax on real estates and imposed as classified income tax by including it into aggregate income so that provide function of tax and curb property speculation. However the present income tax law imposes capital gain tax on capital profit including real estate and securities, while this law and the special tax treatment control law implement non-taxation and tax exemption too widely. That is to say, the system of capital gain tax can hinder the fair tax because it has various exemption terms including the non-taxation principle on a house for a family and the special tax treatment law. And also it has a problem in the sense of equity because it imposes tax by progressive tax rate on the subjects of capital gain tax considering them as the profit of that year, which were transferred, so there is difference between the income which has been made for a long time and the income made for a short time even in the same capital gain. Therefore this study identifies some issues surrounding the present capital gain tax system and focuses on presenting reasonable development plan.

  • In this paper, we propose the Agricultural Environment Monitoring System based on Sensor Network which can collect information of crop cultivation environment and monitor it in real-time by using various environment sensors. Existing wireless sensor nodes, based on the sensor network, require extra conversion/control module depending on the characteristics. To solve this problem, we developed an integrated sensor module which can integrate various kinds of sensors used to obtain the necessary information for the area under crop cultivation. In addition, we developed sensor networks monitoring system which is suitable for an integrated sensor module. To verify the operating status of the proposed system, an integrated sensor node is installed in the test environment so that it can sense information of the environment and monitor it in real-time.

  • Because internal space of combat vehicle reachs about $80^{\circ}C$ at high temperature period, Proximity Sensor exposed high temperature and humidity, which has function to sense the distance and transfer signal for control unit, have enlarged sensing distance and finally locked on. Malfunction of sensing itself occur frequently, therefore we carried out cause analysis and improvement. We accomplish improvement activity secondly. Through-out many trial and error, we find out that malfunction of sensor occur at high temperature circumstance. To improve, the another Emitter Coil is added to increase voltage difference and improve sensing accuracy about 5~10 times. And we accomplish design improvement to dull temperature and humity change after increasing molding surface to add vibration and shock resistance. We prove that the improved product do not fail after enduring 136hr at $85^{\circ}C$ temperature and 85% relative humidity circumstance chamber.

  • New car assessment program (NCAP) originated from USNCAP in 1979 has been implemented in several countries or markets, for instance USA, Europe, Korea, Japan, China and Australia. NCAP has contributed greatly to reduce accidental tolls. But recently, NCAP performance has no distinction between cars because manufacturer have been continuously developed to improve NCAP performance. Therefore, NHTSA announced new USNCAP protocol becoming effective from MY2011. NHTSA had carried out many NCAP tests based on the new test protocol and announced these test results. In this paper, USNCAP test results were reviewed by statistical method. This review was focused on passenger cars and frontal crash test results in order to investigate effect of changes in new NCAP protocol. There are two key changes, one is sited female dummy in passenger position, the other is enlarged to 4 scoring body regions in each dummy. Results of this review were summarized as followings. Performance in Passenger (12.5%) is lower than Driver's (50%) for number of 5 star vehicle. Neck injury criterion is dominant to NCAP star rating for both dummies in the mean sense. For standard deviation, chest deflection is showed largest value in driver dummy but neck injury criterion is showed for passenger's. DKAB and PKAB were equipped 28.1% and 6.2%, respectively. Consequently, the countermeasure for new USNCAP frontal crash test is essential to control well dummy kinematics with some safety features including KAB to reduce neck injuries.

  • During last two decades, remarkable progresses have been made in organic electronic devices, such as organic light-emitting device, organic photovoltaic and many other applied devices. Many of these progress are attributed to the multilayered/heterojunction device architectures, which could be achieved from the control of "interfacial energetics". In that sense, the interfacial electronic structures in organic electronic devices have a decisive role in device performance. However, the prediction of the interfacial electronic structures from each separate material is not trivial. Many complex phenomena occur at the interface and these can be only understood from thorough measurements on interfacial electronic structures in situ. Photoemission and inverse photoemission spectroscopy have been known as the most proper measurement tools to analyze these interfacial electronic structures. In this review, the basic principles of (inverse) photoemission spectroscopy and typical measurement results on organic/inorganic interfaces are introduced.

  • Cognitive radio technology enables to share the spectrum dedicated to primary users. In CR network, it is of primary concern to protect the primary users. Thus, it is required to periodically sense the spectrums occupied by primary users and adapt the communication parameters used by CR users to protect the primary users. However, it is inevitable to experience the hidden node problem due to the primary users, that are not detected by spectrum sensing. To perfectly protect the primary users, it is essential to address the hidden node problem in CR network. In this paper, we propose a new approach to handle the hidden node problem and evaluate the performance of proposed scheme.

  • Sensor networks are needed for special purposes such as collecting or transmitting information by using sensor devices, for which various routing protocols have been proposed. Among existing protocols, the modified PEGASIS routing technique is known to be effective when applied to cases with directional transmissions of data. However it does not consider recovery from errors or guaranteeing stability in data transmission, while sensor devices performing repetitive relays and controls are prone to errors. In this paper, a double relay routing protocol for Zigbee based sensor networks where data are transfered reliably with a linear direction. The proposed protocol is effective in the sense that it secures the relaible transmission of data with minimal energy consumption based on a directional data transfer. A streetlight control system has been presented as an application of the proposed protocol.

  • Industrial shift workers feels suffer mental stresses which are caused by unfamiliar day sleep, noisy environment, sleeping disorder by bright light, unusual contacts with family, difficulty in meeting with friends or having formal social meetings and other social limitations such as the use of transportation. Such stresses influence health of the workers negatively. Thus the health promotion policy for shift workers should be made considering the workers' ways of living and shift work specially. This study attempted to provide basic information for development of the health promotion program for industrial shift workers by examining predictive factors influencing health promotion behaviors of those workers. In designing the study, three power generation plants located in Pusan and south Kyungsang province were randomly selected and therefrom 280 workers at central control, boiler and turbine rooms and environmental chemistry parts whose processes require shift works were sampled as subjects of the study. Data were collected two times from September 17 to October 8, 1999 using questionnaires with helps of safety and health managers of the plants. The questionnaires were distributed through mails or direct visits. Means for the study included the measurement tool of health promotion behavior provided by Park(1995), the tool of self-efficacy measurement by Suh(1995), the tool of internal locus of control measurement by Oh(1987), the measurement tool of perceived health state by Park(1995) and the tool of social support measurement by Paek(1995). The collected data were analyzed using SPSS program. Controlling factors of the subjects were evaluated in terms of frequency and percentage ratio Perceived factors and health promotion behaviors of the subjects were done so in terms of mean and standard deviation, and average mark and standard deviation, respectively. Relations between controlling and perceived factors were analyzed using t-test and ANOVA and those between perceived factors and the performance of health promotion behaviors, using Pearson's Correlation Coefficient. The performance of health promotion behaviors was tested using t-test, ANOVA and post multi-comparison (Scheffe test). Predictive factors of health promotion behavior were examined through the Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis. Results of the study are summarized as follows. 1. The performance of health promotion behaviors by the subjects was evaluated as having the value of mean, $161.27{\pm}26.73$ points(min.:60, max.:240) and average mark, $2.68{\pm}0.44$ points(min.:1, max.:4). When the performance was analyzed according to related aspects, it showed the highest level in harmonious relation with average mark, $3.15{\pm}.56$ points, followed by hygienic life($3.03{\pm}.55$), self-realization ($2.84{\pm}.55$), emotional support($2.73{\pm}.61$), regular meals($2.71{\pm}.76$), self-control($2.62{\pm}.63$), health diet($2.62{\pm}.56$), rest and sleep($2.60{\pm}.59$), exercise and activity($2.53{\pm}.57$), diet control($2.52{\pm}.56$) and special health management($2.06{\pm}.65$). 2. In relations between perceived factors of the subjects(self-efficacy, internal locus of control, perceived health state) and the performance of health promotion behaviors, the performance was found having significantly pure relations with self-efficacy (r=.524, P=.000), internal locus of control (r=.225, P=.000) and perceived health state(r=.244, P=.000). The higher each evaluated point of the three factors was, the higher the performance was in level. 3. When relations between the controlling factors(demography-based social, health-related, job-related and human relations characteristics) and the performance of health promotion behaviors were analyzed, the performance showed significant differences according to marital status (t=2.09, P= .03), religion(F=3.93, P= .00) and participation in religious activities (F=8.10, P= .00) out of demography-based characteristics, medical examination results (F=7.20, P= .00) and methods of the collection of health knowledge and information(F=3.41, P= .01) and methods of desired health education(F=3.41, P= .01) out of health-related characteristics, detrimental factors perception(F=4.49, P= .01) and job satisfaction(F=8.41, P= .00) out of job-related characteristics and social support(F=14.69, P= .00) out of human relations characteristics. 4. The factor which is a variable predicting best the performance of health promotion behaviors by the subjects was the self-efficacy accounting for 27.4% of the prediction, followed by participation in religious activities, social support, job satisfaction, received health state and internal locus of control in order all of which totally account for 41.0%. In conclusion, the predictive factor which most influence the performance of health promotion behaviors by shift workers was self-efficacy. To promote the sense, therefore, it is necessary to develop the nursing intervention program considering predictive factors as variables identified in this study. Further industrial nurses should play their roles actively to help shift workers increase their capability of self-management of health.
