Globus pharyngeus or globus sensation is the painless sensation of a lump in the throat and may be described as a foreign body sensation, a tightening or choking feeling. It is often associated with persistent clearing of the throat, chronic cough, hoarseness, and catarrh. Its etiology remains unclear ; however, laryngopharyngeal reflux may play a role in a subset of patients. Psychogenic problems have often been thought to cause or trigger the globus sensation. Personality studies have found higher levels of alexithymia, neuroticism, and psychological distress (including anxiety, low mood, and somatic concerns) and lower levels of extraversion in patients presenting with globus. Globus patients with laryngopharyngeal reflux exhibited weaker psychological symptoms than non- laryngopharyngeal reflux globus patients, and globus patients who did not respond to proton pump inhibitor had significantly higher anxiety scores. In cases with negative clinical investigations and consistent globus symptom, other treatment strategies, including speech therapy, antidepressants, and cognitive-behavioral therapy, should be considered.

Objectives : This study was designed to find out whether normal saline(NS) acupuncture is able to be constituted as an appropriate control group for Cervi Cornu Parvum herbal acupuncture(CC). Methods : NS and CC were injected into Quchi($LI_{11}$) of the subjects. The subjects completed a questionnaire rating the intensity of 21 kinds of acupuncture sensation(hurting, penetrating, sharp, aching, intense, spreading, radiating, tingling, pricking, stinging, pulling, heavy, dull, numb, electric, shocking, hot, burning, cool, pulsing, and throbbing) and side effects. We compared subjective evaluations of acupuncture sensation and side effects between two groups. Results : As for CC most of the acupuncture sensation items were not significantly different from NS especially in less acupuncture-experienced subjects(average 2, below 10 time experiences) rather than more acupuncture-experienced subjects(above 10 time experiences). Conclusions : We found that NS might be an appropriate placebo herbal acupuncture for CC in small amount of acupuncture-experienced subjects. Further study is needed for new placebo herbal acupuncture for CC in more acupuncture-experienced subjects.

PURPOSE; The main purpose of physical therapy is to minimize patient's pain. So this study aimed at evaluating the effect of PAS release applied to tender points in reducing pain of musculoskeletal lesion persons. METHOD; The PAS (capsicum plaster) Release applied at 48 tender points to relieve and assessment pain threshold by Harold Gottlieb's pain scale that was composed of Negligible sensation 4.00, Mild sensation 3.00, Moderate sensation 2.00, Severe sensation 1.00. RESULT; Results show that PAS release was 84.6% effect in achieving a gradual decrease of pain sensitivity at the tender points where it was applied, suggestion a cumulative analgesic effect through sessions. CONCLUSION; This study suggests that PAS release applied to tender points can be effective in relieving soft tissue pain through theses have not become asymptomatic, all referred significant pain relief(p <0.05) after study and at the end of PAS release therapy.

Abnormal sensation is the main manifestation of diabetic neuropathy. We treated 53 year-old male patient suffering from diabetic neuropathy with Yukmijihwang-Hwan, herb complex, which has been used to treat Yin deficiency syndrome in Oriental Medicine, The patient complained abnormal sensation(numbness, pain) in the back portion and the both of plantar arch. We could observe the symptom improved after 1 months since the beginning of administration and disappeared after 9 months. So we suggest that long-term administration of Yukmijihwang-Hwan has therapeutic effect on abnormal sensation caused by diabetic neuropathy with the diagnosis of Yin deficiency in Oriental medicine.

The purposes of this study were to analyze the new lifestyle of female consumer of age in the range of 19∼35 and to investigate their clothing-purchasing behavior and preferred sensation by lifestyle group. The questionnaire survey was carried out on 402 subjects with 31 lifestyle questions, 32 questions of clothing purchasing behavior and 18 questions of preferred sensation. Through factor, cluster analysis and anova using SPSS, we found that the female consumers were composed of 6 lifestyle groups; Traditional Appearance Pursuit(19.4%), Personal Life Pursuit(15.7%), Outer Beauty Pursuit(15.9％), Active Practical Pursuit(11.4%), Digital Leisure Pursuit(13.4%) and Unconcern(21.6%). The location of 6 lifestyle group were visualized in 2-D as the horizontal axis of 'Internal↔Appearance' and the vertical axis of 'Personal↔Collective'. Six groups by lifestyle showed different clothing-purchasing behavior and preferred sensations, and had different socio statistical parameters, such as age, income, job and education.

The objectives of this study were to evaluate color sensation for yellowish natural dye fabrics using magnitude estimation to determine physical colorimetric factors significantly related to human sensibility by establishing power function in psychophysical analysis. Fourteen different yellowish fabrics dyed with natural colorants were selected as stimuli and subjective color sensations including brightness, heaviness, softness, strength, warmth, activeness, classicalness, femininity, and pleasantness for each stimulus were evaluated. As results, yellowish natural dye fabrics in general seemed to evoke feeling of brightness, femininity, and pleasantness more strongly than that of heaviness and classicalness. Most of color sensation were significantly related with more than one of physical color properties, which leads to establishing reliable power functions between them. In the power functions, these relationships could be utilized to design color-sensible natural dye textiles.

Personality can be understood in terms of cognitive and informational modulation. Augmenting and reducing evoked potential (AREP) has been known as the one of method to test this cognitive characteristic. Especially, many studies have been performed on the relationship between AREP and the Zuckerman Sensation Seeking Scale (SSS) and the Eysenck Personality Questinnaire (EPQ), which are well known as the psychological tests of personality. Generally sensation seekers tend to be augmenters and low sensation seekers tend to the rend to be reducers of EP. However, there are some reports that EP reducers are more extraverted on the EPQ and more sensation-seeking on the SSS than EP augmenters. These results may imply regulatory function of brain can be different depending on brain areas. According to the result of author's studies it can be assumed that frontocentral area works consistently with personality trend whereas right posterior temporal area performs inhibitory regulation against personality trend.

The purpose of this study was to examine theory about indoor thermal comfort-environment as well as to determine thermal sensation and physiological responses for men in summer indoor environment, under various air temperature and relative humidity, with male university students. Subjective Evaluation, Heart Rate(Electrocardiogram), Electroencephalogram(EEG) were examined. We found that comfort of people was achieved at SE $T^{*}$ 24.7$^{\circ}C$, -0.82＜PMV＜0.93, subject's clothing(0.41c1o)and the difference of skin temperature was found at the calf area as air temperature changes. At low SE $T^{*}$, heart rate was decreased and at high SE $T^{*}$, heart rate was increased but there was no change EEG(keeping $\alpha$-wave).wave).

The aim of the research was to evaluate the characteristics of indoor thermal environment and thermal sensation in the traditional Ondol room. Indoor thermal factors including air temperature, operative temperature, floor surface temperature, relative humidity, PMV, OT were measured, and survey was carried out to understand subjective responses of resident's related to indoor thermal environment in Ondol room. The analysed houses are: the Chung hyo dang(the head house of Ryu family in Andong) and the Pyeung won jung(the traditional house in Yesan). The purpose of the survey was to know the relationship between resident's sensation and thermal environmental indicators such as air temperature, relative humidity, floor surface temperature, OT. The experimental results have pointed out how Ondol room may lead to comfortable and uniform indoor thermal environments.

The purpose of this study was to investigate two different kinds of socks on physiological responses at an ambient temperature of 35$\pm$1$^{\circ}C$ and relative humidity of 50$\pm$5% Five healthy women wearing normal socks or toes socks participated as the subjects. Rectal temperature skin temperatures sweat rate blood pressure pulse rate and questionnaire wee measured. Rectal temperature skin temperature sweat rate blood pressure pulse rate and questionnaire were measured. Rectal temperature and mean skin temperature were lower after exercise at wearing toes socks . Sweat rate was higher at wearing normal socks and blood pressure and pulse rate were tend to higher at wearing toes socks. Thermal comfort temperature sensation and humidity sensation were better wearing toes socks. Thermal comfort temperature sensation and humidity sensation were better wearing toes socks than wearing normal socks but wearing comfort was better at wearing normal socks. These results will be discussed form the viewpoint of thermoregulation AVA(Arterio venous Anastomosis) and count current heat exchange.
