In Korea, multi-functional senior residential complexes have become very popular since the end of 1990 by integrating the functions of nursing homes and health care facilities, so that the elderly can maintain their regular healthy life and receive health care when needed depending on their aging stage. Accordingly, it is increasingly important to conduct research on such multi-functional residential facilities. In this study, 6 cases of Korean senior residential complexes and 6 cases of comparable Japanese facilities, which were built earlier than Korea, are compared, and the following results are derived from the comparison. 1. In terms of the shared space, the parallel type and the unified type are found to share more space among complex types. Especially, the low-story concentration type and the eccentric type are found to share space the most. 2. In Korea, an average shared rate is found to be 46.8%; and the rates of a supplied-space, a common-shared-space, and a maintenance-space are found to be 29.73%, 36.33%, and 32.93%, respectively. In Japan's case, an average shared space is found to be 22.31%; and the corresponding rates for the above 3 spaces.

This study aims to provide definitions and standardization for necessities that elderly people can use conveniently and properly in their daily lives and classify necessities for different purposes. First, standard terminologies were defined by reviewing the literature and the relevant laws related to daily necessities for the elders. Secondly, a concept for necessities for the elders was also defined through consultation with experts. Lastly, the elderly's necessities were selected and classified. The elderly's necessities are defined as aids that ordinary elderly people in normal aging process need for the purpose of the convenience of life and aids they wear or use to maintain or improve their health. In this study, the elderly's necessities are divided into three categories: necessities of health, necessities of Oriental medical aids and necessities of daily living. Each category is further classified as follows: Necessities of health include aids for personal medical treatment, aids for personal care and protection and aids for recreation. Necessities of Oriental medical aids include aids for personal medical treatment, aids for personal care and protection and others. Necessities of daily living include aids for personal care and protection, aids for personal mobility, aids for housekeeping, furnishings, aids for communication, information and signalling, aids for handling products and goods and aids for recreation. The classification of the elderly's necessities in this study can be used as basic information for further studies of demand for necessities for the elderly. The results will lay the foundation for a standardization system for the elderly's necessities and the development of silver industry.

The subjects were 139 in Kyungi senior center. Method: The instruments for this study were physiological parameters, which were composed of vital capacity, blood pressure, pulse oxygenation, hand grip power, body fat and physical health status scale developed by researcher, and health perception scale developed by Ware(1976). The data were analyzed by the SPSS-PC 11.0 version. Results: 1) 7.9% of subjects were included in abnormal range of vital capacity, 40.3% were systolic hypertension and 11.5% were diastolic hypertension. And 92.1% were included in normal range of pulse oxygenation, 79.8% were weakened hand grip power, and 10.1% of subjects were included in normal range of body fat. 2) The total mean score of the physical health status was 26.34 of a possible maximum score of 45. The physical health status score of women was lower than man's. 3) The mean score of man's health perception was 24.52 and women's was 20.39 of a possible maximum score of 44. 4) There was a significant positive correlation between hand grip power and physical health status(r=.28, p=.001). And a significant correlation between physical health status and health perception was found (r=.24, p=.004). Conclusion: It is concluded that the blood pressure, hand grip power and body fat among the physiological parameters of elderly subjects in Kyungi senior center were included in abnormal range. The factors were related life style. therefore, it is suggested that the health education to change life style for the elderly is needed.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of an elderly people's health promotion program performed in a senior center located in J-si. Most interesting were the effects on the physical, physiological, and psychological parameters for senior center participation of the elderly. A nonequivalent control group pre-posttest design was employed. A total of 41 people living in J-si were assigned to either an experimental group (n=21) or control group (n=20). The experimental group was provided with the eight-week elderly people's health promotion program from May 1 to September 2 in 2019. The data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 24.0 using descriptive statistics, 𝒙2-test, Fisher's exact test, and t-test. The results indicated a significant difference between the experimental group and control group with respect to the scores of the physical parameters, including right grip strength (t=-3.01, p=.004) and flexibility of the waist (t=-2.11, p=.09); the physiological parameters, including the systolic blood pressure (t=-3.02, p=.004); and psychological, including depression (t=2.42, p=.020), hopelessness (t=5.22, p<.001), and quality of life (t=4.28, p<.001). Therefore, the elderly people's health promotion program with senior center participation of the elderly is a useful nursing intervention program that can improve the right grip strength, flexibility waist, reduce the systolic blood pressure, depression and hopelessness, and improve the quality of life.
The purpose of this research was to find out the differences in the moving motivation and life satisfaction of senior cohousing communities between male and female residents in Scandinavia, especially in Sweden and Denmark. Senior cohousing is an attractive housing alternative for the aged 55 and over who looks for sharing one's life with neighbors. The 655 survey questionnaires out of 960 had replied from 14 Seniorbofrellesskaber in Denmark and 11 seniorhus within SABO sector and 8 housing cooperatives initiated by the Seniorgarden Housing Company in Sweden during April to May, 2002. The data were analyzed by SPSS win program, using frequencies, percentiles, cross-tabulations, and Pearson's correlations. The results showed that the senior cohousing residents were generally healthy and age of 70's years old and nearly half lived with a spouse. The male residents lived with a spouse about 2 times more than did the female. The residents had very strong motivation to move into the community and very high life satisfaction. Most aspects of moving motivation were not differed by the sex of the residents. However, male residents were more likely than female to be motivated to move in by becoming a pensioner, while female residents were more likely than male to be motivated by being a widow, looking for safety, or avoiding loneliness. These different motivation to move in by sex become more clear when general characteristics such as age, health status, living with or without a spouse, or country were controlled. Female residents were more likely than male to live' dream life' in the senior cohousing community. The stronger the moving motivation, the higher the life satisfaction in the community.
This study is intended to find out how production people have been creating senior radio program. For this purpose, the study set up the three research questions and employed in-depth interviews with ten production people: First, production people find out senior radio listeners who have been very royal attendance of the program for a long time. And they examined senior listeners prefer to listen about health care, information about elderly life and singing contest. They have been made para-social interaction with master of ceremonies (MC). Second, unlike other radio program, the senior radio program has concentrated on the radio station's image and public interest rather than financial profit and viewing rate. Normally, it was known that radio program for senior used carried on break of the day. But some program has been broadcasted on prime time in the afternoon. Target audience of senior radio program has been expanded over the forties and the fifties from sixties. Thirdly, in general the role of producer is critically important to produce program. However, MC and scriptwriter are far more experienced and specialized on the field than producer in radio program for senior.

Korea is going to the structure of low fertility and aging population, which is so difficult to find a precedent in the world. Furthermore, since population structure is changing to the upside down pyramid type, it acts as a factor that makes the production population matters worse. In this situation, senior's job programme has fixed those problems to a certain extent, but more effective support system should be provided in the respect of economic and social integration. Also efforts should be made for a view to a wide range of job creation and dissemination. Decent jobs can be created in the area of culture, welfare, health care, tourism, by utilizing skills and experience that senior had before they retired. In conclusion, this study provides a theoretical basis for an efficient measure of senior's job programme.
