과학 관련 사회적 문제(SSI) 상황에서 반박자료와 감정이입상황에 따른 초등학생의 의사결정 변화 (Elementary School Students' Decision-Making Change through Refutation Materials and Empathic Situation on Socio-Scientific Issue)

  • This study is to investigate an argumentation level for elementary school students after analysing an argumentation structure about a socio scientific issue(SSI), and inquire a change of the decision-making according to the refutation materials and empathic situation. This data was collected from the semi-structured interview with the 14 students, grade 6th. For this, the first stage is to present the reading materials about the SSI to the students, let them decision-making and make them argue pro and con about the SSI during the interview. After that, facing with the refutation materials against the existing contention and the empathic situation, the change of the decision-making of the students was conducted. After the research, the level of the argumentation of the students was low, and the students who didn't have the background knowledge about the theme made the decisions according to the values, emotions or intuitions of their own. And the decision-making of the students changed more when presented with the refutation materials and the empathic situation, they were difficult to make the decision because of new information and various stances. Besides, they lacked in the ability that recognize the situation related with their own life, just used the fragmentary knowledge associated with value of life respect. Through these result, it is necessary to produce the refutation materials and empathic materials about the SSI to the students for improving the level of argumentation.

과학 실험 수업에 대한 초등학생들의 인식 분석 (Analysis of the Elementary School Students' Views about Lab-based Science Learning)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the elementary students' views about lab-based science learning. For the purpose of this study, semi-structured interviews were conducted with thirty sixth grade students in 12 classes from two elementary schools located in Daegu City. The interview contents consisted of three major categories. The first category was related to attitude toward science lab, the second was related to lab-based science learning which had four sub-categories; recognizing lesson object, planning experiment, performing experiment, drawing conclusion in lab-based science learning in which the students had ordinary have views and expectations, and the last category was related to students' difficulties and something need to be improved in lab-based science learning. In-depth interviews were performed individually and the interviews were recorded. From the interviews, we found that students, in first category, do like lab-activities more than lectures or instruction-based activities in textbook. Students, in second category, wanted generally more discussion for their own activities rather than teacher's instruction and they wanted teacher' mediation conflicts within small groups and comments for students' experiment results. In the last, most of students had fears for some dangerous reagents and accidents. Based on the results, the study suggested that teacher need to give their students to autonomous discussion opportunities to design and interpret data through teacher' guided questions in inquiry steps, to produce some intimate atmosphere for active interaction in small groups, and to teach the safety education on some dangerous reagents.

고령 임부의 가족지지, 부부관계의 질 및 건강증진행위 (Health Promoting Behaviors, Family support, and Quality of Marital Relationship of the Mature Gravida after 35)

  • This study was performed to explore the family support. the quality of marital relationship, and health promoting behaviors of the mature gravidas. and to validate the relationship between them. From November, 1999 to June. 2000. mature gravidas older than 35(N=82) were recruited from K University Hospital located in Seoul and Kyungki Province. Korea. Data was collected using a self-rating method and semi-structured interview. The questionnaires were: Perceived Social Support from Family developed by Procidano & Heller (1983). Quality of Marital Index by Norton (1983). and Health Promoting Life-style Profile by Walker, Sechrist, & Pender (1987), Interviews were conducted using the interview guide with open-ended questions related to health concerns and health promoting behaviors. Data was analyzed using a pc-SAS program for quantitative data. The levels of the perceived family support and the quality of marital relationship were relatively high. The relationship between perceived family support and quality of marital relationship, and health promoting life-style behaviors was statistically significant. Six themes emerged as primary concerns for the mature gravidas during childbearing: 'Concerns related to the fetal wellbeing', 'Concerns related to fetal education', 'Concerns related to the maternal physical health', 'Concerns related to the maternal emotional health', 'Concerns related to safe delivery' and 'Concerns related to child-rearing'. Nursing implications for practice include expanding prenatal assessment inventories to address the concerns and support system of mature gravidas.

한국 병원 최고 경영자의 책무성 인식 : 심층 면접 결과를 중심으로 (Perception of Korean Hospital CEOs on Organizational Accountability : Findings from In-Depth Interviews)

  • As misalignments among images, identity, and legitimacy of health professionals and institutions have been on the rise, CEOs of health care organizations have been required to enhance organizational accountability. Despite the accumulation of literature on the conceptual discussions of accountability, only a few studies empirically investigated key barriers to accountability and its facilitators. To identify perception on accountability with key barriers and facilitators of organizational accountability, a semi-structured interview with 11 CEOs of Korean hospitals was conducted. A short survey was taken to get quantitative data on CEO's perception on organizational accountability. To CEOs, accountability was very complex and unfamiliar concept, but understood as physician's code of ethics by nature and basic principle of hospital management. CEOs thought accountability could be improved through ethical leadership, financial stability and learning climate of hospitals. Distrust of the government, which failed to provide economic incentives for hospitals to increase accountability activities, was emphasized as a serious barrier to hospital accountability. There was consensus among hospital CEOs as to the importance of accountability in management. However, there were concerns that, without policy instruments to motivate hospitals toward increasing community benefits as well as collective efforts among health professionals to rebuild moral climate for being accountable, greater accountability would not be achieved in hospitals.

만성질환을 가진 노인의 의료경험과 미충족의료 인식 (Medical Experiences and Unmet Health Care Perception among Elderly People with Chronic Disease)

  • Background: The purpose of this study is to elucidate the context of medical experience and the perception of unmet healthcare of elderly people with chronic diseases based on in-depth interview data. Methods: We carried out in-depth interviews with 10 elderly people with chronic diseases using semi-structured questionnaires based on literature review. The in-depth interview data were analyzed using thematic analysis; one qualitative research methodology, three core meaning categories, and four attributes associated with unmet healthcare were ultimately derived. Results: The context of the medical experience were based on the following three categories: (1) discomfort due to diseases and high medical needs, (2) the poor community medical environment and difficulties in accessing to metropolitan medical institutions, and (3) inconvenience caused by long waiting time and side effects of medicine. In addition, the elderly with chronic disease realized the unmet healthcare as (1) the availability related to the desired medical institutions at the right time, (2) the affordability related to their economic capacity, (3) the effectiveness of the medical services they experienced, and (4) the appropriateness related to receiving medical services in a pleasant environment. Conclusion: The perception of unmet healthcare among the elderly with chronic disease is the result of interaction of multi-level and multi-dimensional factors related with their medical experience.

한국의 트위터 오피니언 리더들의 정치적 정보행동에 관한 연구 - 정보세계이론을 중심으로 - (An Exploratory Study on the Political Information Behaviors of Korean Opinion Leaders on Twitter: Through the Lens of Theory of Information Worlds)

  • 이 연구는 2014년 제6회 전국동시지방선거(6.4 지방선거) 기간 동안 트위터 정치커뮤니케이션 네트워크에서 큰 영향력을 행사한 오피니언 리더 이용자들의 정치적 정보행동을 탐구하였다. 13명의 오피니언 리더 이용자를 대상으로 반구조화 심층면담을 진행하였으며, 피면담자는 이메일, 스카이프(Skype), 면대면 3가지 양식 중 가장 선호하는 방식을 선택하여 면담에 참여하였다. 면담내용은 정보세계이론의 5가지 개념(사회적 역할, 규범, 정보가치, 정보행동, 경계)을 조작화하여 만든 코드북과 근거이론을 함께 사용하여 질적으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 오피니언 리더 이용자들은 그들이 속한 복수의 사회적 세계에서 비롯된 사회적 역할 중 특정한 역할을 선택하여 전시하고, 그에 수반된 규범에 따라 평가한 정보가치를 기준으로 정치적 정보행동(선택적 정보공유, 정보회피, 정보교환)에 참여하였으며, 다른 정보세계와 교차하는 경계에서 다양한 충돌과 협력의 상호작용을 경험하였다.

특수교사들의 임용시험 실패 요인과 성공 요인에 관한 질적 연구 (A Qualitative Study into Special Education Teachers' Failure and Success Factors in Teacher Recruitment Examinations)

  • 이 연구에서는 임용시험에서의 실패와 성공을 경험한 특수교사들의 임용시험 실패 요인과 성공 요인이 무엇인지를 탐구하였다. 24명의 특수교사들과 반구조화된 면담을 실시하였으며, 면담 자료의 연속적 비교 분석을 통해 12개의 의미 있는 주제를 추출하였다. 연구 결과를 종합하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 특수교사들은 임용시험 실패 요인을 남 따라 하기식의 공부, 실패를 부르는 공부전략, 무조건 달달 외우기, 비효율적인 스터디, 불안함과 자신감 부족, 내가 나를 관리하지 못함에 두었다. 둘째, 특수교사들은 임용시험 성공 요인을 자신만의 공부 스타일, 올바른 공부전략, 이해와 암기의 조화, 모두가 득이 되는 스터디, 긍정적인 마음가짐, 무너지지 않는 자신만의 루틴에서 찾았다. 이러한 연구 결과를 임용시험 준비과정에서 실제적으로 활용하는 방안을 제언하였다.

20대 이란 여성 소비자의 한류 상품 구매의사결정과정에 관한 탐색적 연구 -뷰티 제품과 패션 제품을 중심으로- (An Exploratory Study on Hallyu Product Purchase Decision Making Process of Iranian Women in their 20s -Based on Beauty Products and Fashion Products-)

  • This study investigates the decision-making processes of Iranian women in their twenties who purchased Hallyu beauty and fashion products. We conducted ten in-depth interviews of Hallyu enthusiasts who previously purchased Hallyu products. Interviewees were recruited using a snowball sampling technique based on nonprobability sampling. Interviews were conducted in the 1:1 in-depth interview format for one hour of each interview from April 11, 2017, to May 14, 2017, using semi-structured questionnaires, and recorded with consent. Our analysis of the characteristics of consumption behaviors of the women used seven steps of the purchase decision-making process. This study used interviews to analyze the following questions. Research Question 1. What is the decision process for Iranian women's consumer products purchase? Research Question 2. What are the characteristics and meaning of each stage of Iranian women's consumer decision-making process? Data collection in this study was limited to participants in their twenties; however, this research will be helpful for future Hallyu and Iranian consumer analysis. A follow-up study should examine the purchasing decisions of women in additional age groups in order to generalize the results.

비뇨기 질환 전문병원 도입에 관한 이해당사자의 인식: 질적 연구 (Stakeholders' Perception of the Introduction of Specialized Hospitals for Urologic Diseases: Qualitative Study)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to seek in-depth perspectives of stakeholders on the necessity and specific criteria for designating a specialized hospital for urologic diseases. Methods: Eight participants experts in urology medicine and specialized hospital system were divided into four groups. Following the semi-structured guidelines, an in-depth interview was conducted twice and a focus group discussion was conducted three times. All the interviews were transcribed verbatim and analyzed. Results: The majority of participants predicted that there would be demand for specialized hospitals for urologic diseases. The criteria of designating a specialized hospital, such as the number of hospital beds and quality of health care, have to be modified in consideration of the specificity of urology. The introduction of a specialized hospital would improve the healthcare delivery system, positively affecting hospitals and patients. Furthermore, government support is essential for the maintenance of specialized hospital systems as urology hospitals experience difficulties in generating profits. Conclusion: This study is expected to be used as base data for introducing and operating a specialized hospital for urologic diseases. In addition, it is expected that the methodology and results of this study would encourage follow-up studies on specialized hospitals and provide guidelines to evaluate the effectiveness of such hospitals in other medical fields.

항공서비스학과 비교과 참여 학생의 대학 생활 의미에 관한 현상학적 연구 (A Phenomenological Study on the Meaning of College Life of Extracurricular Activities Engagement of Students Majoring in Aviation Service)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 비교과프로그램을 참여하면서 겪은 실제 경험에 대한 이해를 토대로 대학 생활 경험의 본질적 의미를 고찰하는 것이다. 개인이 겪은 본질적 경험에 대해 이해하고 의미를 규명하기 위해 Giorgi의 현상학적 연구방법에 따라 연구를 설계하였다. 본 연구는 항공서비스학과에서 운영하는 비교과프로그램에 참여한 경험이 있는 참여자 6명을 대상으로 반구조화된 심층 인터뷰 기법을 적용하였다. 수집된 자료를 분석한 결과 비교과 참여의 경험적 특성과 비교과 참여의 의미는 각각 4가지 주제로 도출되었다. 대학생활의 의미는 '대학 생활 만족도 향상', '다양한 대학생활', '대학생활의 추억', '대학생활에 대한 동기부여'의 의미를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과 다양한 비교과프로그램 참여 경험은 한 개인이 성장해 가는 전이과정으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 비교과 활동이 대학생활에 새로운 의미를 부여하였다는 것을 참여자의 실제 경험을 바탕으로 규명했다는 점에서 의의를 갖는다.
