Linked Data is a powerful technology for storing and publishing the structures of data. It is helpful for web applications because of its usefulness through semantic query data. However, using Linked Data is not easy for ordinary users who lack knowledge about the structure of data or the query syntax of Linked Data. For that problem, we propose a translator component that is used for translating RESTful/JSON request messages into SPARQL commands based on ontology - a metadata that describes the structure of data. Clients do not need to worry about the structure of stored data or SPARQL, a kind of query language used for querying linked data that not many people know, when they insert a new instance or query for all instances of any specific class with those complex structure data. In addition, the translator component has the search function that can find a set of data from multiple classes based on finding the shortest paths between the target classes - the original set that user provide, and target classes- the users want to get. This translator component will be applied for any dynamic ontological structure as well as automatically generate a SPARQL command based on users' request message.
One important issue to generalize the ubiquitous paradigm is the development of user-centralized and intelligent ubiquitous computing systems. Sharing knowledge and correct communication between users and devices are needed to be aware of continuous changed context information and infer services for which users are suited. The goal of this paper is to describe and manage effectively the meaning of services or data which each device offers for interaction between users and devices based on semantic relationships and reasoning. In this paper, we represent semantic data using OWL and design a ubiquitous based intelligent system. We propose some index structures and strategies to process queries classified by each subsystem and adopt labeling schemes to identify classes and resources in the semantic data. We can find devices which satisfies various user's requests exactly and quickly using the proposed strategies.
Recently ontology has been an attractive technology along with the business strategy of providing a plenty of more intelligent services. The essential problem in application domains using ontology is that all members, agents, and application programs in the domains must share the same ontology concepts. However, a variety of mobile devices, sensing devices, and network components manufactured by various companies, a variety of common carriers, and a variety of contents providers make multiple heterogeneous ontologies more likely to coexist. We can see many past researches fallen into resolving this semantic interoperability. Such methods can be broadly classified into by-mapping, by-merging, and by-translation. In this research, we focus on by-translation among them which uses a translation rule directly made between two heterogeneous ontology data like OntoMorph. However, the manual composition of the direct translation rule is not convenient by itself and if there are N ontologies, the direct method has the rule composition complexity of $O(N^2)$ in the worst case. Therefore, in this paper we introduce the cascade composition of translation rules based on web openness in order to improve the complexity. The research result made us recognize some important factors in an ontology translation system, that is speediness of translation, and conveniency of translation rule composition, and some experiments and comparing analysis with existing methods showed that our cascade method has more conveniency with insuring the speediness and the correctness.
To ensure the successful employment of semantic web services, it is essential that they rely on the use of high quality ontologies. However, building such ontologies is difficult and costly, thus hampering web service deployment. This study automatically builds ontologies from WSDL documents and their underlying semantics, and presents discovery methods of similar web service operations using these ontologies. The key ingredient is techniques that cluster parameters in the collection of web services into semantically meaningful concepts, and capture the hierarchical relationships between the words contained in the tag. We implement an operation retrieval system for web services. This system finds out a ranked set of similar operations using a novel similarity measurement method, and selects the most optimal operation which satisfies user's requirements. It can be directly used for the web services composition.
Nowadays, studies on the fusion of Semantic Web technologies are being carried out to promote the interoperability and value of sensor data in an IoT environment. To accomplish this, the semantic translation of sensor data is essential for convergence with service domain knowledge. The existing semantic translation technique, however, involves translating from static metadata into semantic data(RDF), and cannot properly process real-time and large-scale features in an IoT environment. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a technique for translating large-scale streaming sensor data generated in an IoT environment into semantic data, using real-time and parallel processing. In this technique, we define rules for semantic translation and store them in the semantic repository. The sensor data is translated in real-time with parallel processing using these pre-defined rules and an ontology-based semantic model. To improve the performance, we use the Apache Storm, a real-time big data analysis framework for parallel processing. The proposed technique was subjected to performance testing with the AWS observation data of the Meteorological Administration, which are large-scale streaming sensor data for demonstration purposes.

GIS systems have gradually been utilized in life information as well as special businesses such as traffic, sight-seeing, tracking, and disaster services. Most GIS services focus on showing stored information on maps, not providing a service to register and modify their preferred information. In this paper, we present a new method which reduces DXF map data into Simple Geographic Information File format using format conversion algorithms. We also present the prototype implementation of a GIS search system based on ontologies to support associated information. Our contribution is to propose a new digital map format to provide a fast map loading service and individual customized information on the map service.

기존의 SPARQL(Simple Protocol and RDF Query Language) 시맨틱 질의언어는 추론의 기능 없이 RDF(Resource Description Framework)에서 제공하는 SPO(subiect, predicate, object) 형태의 트리플 패턴 매치만을 제공한다.
