  • This research is for early extraction and utilization of semantic information from the tags in tagged Web image retrieval. Generally, users attach a tag to a Web image with little thought of the order, up to over 100 ones. In this paper, we suggest a method of selecting prior tags based on their importance when tagged images are uploaded, and using them in image retrieval. Ideas came from the recognition of the important tags which give a better description of the image as the tags sharing more semantic information with other tags of the same image. This method includes calculation of relation scores between tags based on WordNet and multilevel search of tagged images with the scores. For evaluation, we compared the suggested method and other retrieval methods searching images with simple matching of tags to a given keyword. As the results, we found the superiority of our method in precision and recall rate.

  • Korea Digital Copyright Exchange of Korea Copyright Commission runs and manages copyrighted works and copyright license agreement, as well as assigns Integrated Copyright Number(ICN) to copyrighted works, also offers copyrighted works searching service. Keyword-based searching method based on ICN metadata provides results depending on the inclusion of metadata keyword. However, keyword-based searching method has limitations that cannot provide exact results that users need. Therefore, the essential method of offering exact result is needed. In this paper, we propose the semantic-based searching method about copyrighted works to increase the accuracy of searching results by extending ICN matadata to ontology, and implement the ontology of copyrighted works by defining relation and semantics about metadata elements. In order to compare semantic-based searching based on the ontology of copyrighted works with keyword-based searching method, the search results of each method according to 5 scenarios are presented and the accuracy of each method is compared.

  • As the information of the internet increased, importance of sematic web for collecting and integration of these informations to support decision making of some group or ordinary people are growing as well. Basis structure that composes semantic web is ontology and languages like XML, RDF/RDF schema and OWL are basis means that compose ontology schema. When composes and manages Ontology schema, one of the important consideration point is that schema is changed as times go by. Therefore, change of domain of schema, change of data concept or change of relation between resource etc. are reflected in the ontology system. In this study, we suggest semantic web schema management skill in terms of version management. We categorized version change forms and created version graph for checking of version transition. With created version graph, we define transitivity rule and propose schema tag for detail application which enables extending of applicable version schema.

  • This study describes the Bottom-up method for implementation of an ontology system from the RDB. The STNet, a structured terminology glossary based on RDB, was served as a test bed for converting to RDF ontology, for generating the inference rules, and for evaluating the results of the semantic search. We have used protege editor of the ontology developing tool to design ontologies with test data. We also tested the designed ontology with the Inference Engine (Pellet) of protege editor. The generated reference rules were tested by TBox and SPARQL queries through STNet ontology. The results of test show that the generated reference rules were verified as true and STNet ontology were also evaluated to be useful for searching the complex combination of semantic relation.

  • In this study, we identify the recognition of 'The First Slam Dunk', which is gaining popularity as a sports-based cartoon through big data analysis of social media channels, and provide basic data for the development and development of various contents in the sports industry. Social media channels collected detailed social big data from news provided on Naver and Google sites. Data were collected from January 1, 2023 to February 15, 2023, referring to the release date of 'The First Slam Dunk' in Korea. The collected data were 2,106 Naver news data, and 1,019 Google news data were collected. TF and TF-IDF were analyzed through text mining for these data. Through this, semantic network analysis was conducted for 60 keywords. Big data analysis programs such as Textom and UCINET were used for social big data analysis, and NetDraw was used for visualization. As a result of the study, the keyword with the high frequency in relation to the subject in consideration of TF and TF-IDF appeared 4,079 times as 'The First Slam Dunk' was the keyword with the high frequency among the frequent keywords. Next are 'Slam Dunk', 'Movie', 'Premiere', 'Animation', 'Audience', and 'Box-Office'. Based on these results, 60 high-frequency appearing keywords were extracted. After that, semantic metrics and centrality analysis were conducted. Finally, a total of 6 clusters(competing movie, cartoon, passion, premiere, attention, Box-Office) were formed through CONCOR analysis. Based on this analysis of the semantic network of 'The First Slam Dunk', basic data on the development plan of sports content were provided.

  • IR (Information Retrieval) systems have the methods that compare relationships between query and index to identify document that may be fit to the user's query keyword. However, the methods usually ignore the importance of relations that are not expressed in the query. Therefore, in this study, we describe how to refine the queries' relation from keyword and to reveal the hidden intent. A useful relationship between query and keyword in IR wth studied and we classified the tion fromrelation. Firstfromall, we did researchmrelated on semantic relationship and ontolhiical researchmin foreign and domestic research, and also analyzed semantic network practices, information retrieval technolhiy, extracted and classified the tion fromrelationships s' relasite's real-world datamin whichminformation retrieval technolhiin fare applied. Next, we souiht to solve the problems occurred frequently i' relasituation that searchers tioically face. The relationships between two queries to re hiddee and identify relasearcher's intent have to be revealed. By analyzn inthe practical cthes s' queries and classifyn inthem into nine kind fromrelationship tion, we proposed the method to design relation revealn inand role namn i, and we have also illustrated limitations of that methods.

  • Various kinds of cognitive aspects must be inclusively considered for understanding to transitivity. Basically, transitivity is not a notion of pure lexical items, pure syntactic dimensions and only semantic interpretation. That is, transitivity is affected by the extralinguistic phenomena which contain speakers psychological and cognitive interpretations. It is based on human cognitive abilities to interpret the exact meaning of language expressions. To sum up, transitivity has a relation with the observer's (speaker's) cognitive interpretation within the entire contexts.

  • This paper discusses mixed agreement triggered by hybrid pronouns. Hybrid pronouns considered in this paper show number discrepancy in that they are plural in form but singular in meaning. When predicates agree with these hybrid pronouns, the puzzle of number agreement arises: finite verbs show syntactic agreement, while predicate adjectives show semantic agreement. This is explained by three factors in grammar of agreement, the feature specification of agreement controllers, the types of agreement targets, and the Agreement Marking Principle that mediates the relation of two poles of agreement, controllers and targets.

  • A definition of timbre was proposed which suggested its application to two attributes of sound: "a characteristic which gives a clue to the identify of the sound source, and the quality of sounds which corresponds to the emotive impression timbre are multidimensional. Using semantic differential, the factorial invariance of timbre was investigated and it was found that three factors were dominant: "pleasant", "powerful" and "metallic". The generality of these three factors has been confirmed in Japan. The relation between timbre and physical values was examined. Finally, the usefulness of verbal expression concerning timbre has also been discussed.ing timbre has also been discussed.

  • Close examination of previous constraints on bound anaphora that are designed to directly constrain the distribution of referentially dependent(RD) items shows that no universal structural relation may exist that relates RD items to their antecedents. As an alternative to these constraints, this paper proposes an axiom of semantic interpretation, called the Principle of Referential Autonomy, which dispenses with any pretheoretical notion of grammatical functions or configurational notion like c-command. Together with certain English-specific facts, this principle enables us to infer the ungrammaticality of core examples of strong and weak crossover.
