In this paper, we present self-tuning control of switched reluctance motor for maximum torque with phase current and shaft position sensor. Determination method of turn-on/off angle is realized by using self-tuning control method. During the sampling time, micro-controller checks the number of pulse from encoder and compare with the number of pre-checked pulse. After micro-controller calculates between two data, it moves forward or backward turn-off angle. When the turn-off angle is fixed optimal turn-off angle, the turn-on angle automatically moves forward or backward by a step using self-tuning control method. And then, optimal turn-off angle is searched once again. As such a repeating process, turn-on/off angle is moved automatically to obtain the maximum torque. The experimental results are presented to validate the self-tuning algorithm.
Purpose: This study was conducted to identify correlations among internet games addiction (IGA), self-esteem and physical health in middle school students. Methods: A total of 428 middle school students were selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected from the $15^{th}$ to $30^{th}$ of March, 2006. Data were analyzed using SPSS/PC program by frequency, $\chi^2$-test, t-test, ANOVA, Duncan test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and Stepwise Multiple Regression. Results: 1. According to the results of analyzing the degree of IGA, the addicted group was 1.9% 2. Analysis of IGA according to the general characteristics showed that there were statistically significant differences in on-line friend, using time and major leisure. 3. Analysis of physical health according to the general characteristics showed that there were statistically significant differences in on-line friend and off-line friend. 4. IGA was in a significantly negative correlation with self-esteem. 5. In the results of regression, using time was identified as a factor influencing the IGA. Conclusion: Considering the results above, we need to develop IGA prevention programs to enhance physical health and self-esteem and to control using time.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate factors affecting health promoting lifestyle in nursing students. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was done using a convenient sampling (n=682) in a three-year nursing college. The health promoting lifestyle was measured by the instrument of Walker's and self esteem was measured by the instrument of Rosenberg's. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, chi-square test, oneway ANOVA and Stepwise multiple regression. Results: The average score of health promoting lifestyle was 2.34. The score of psycho-social well-being subscale was higher than that of health promoting behavior subscale. The highest score was on the interpersonal relations subscale, and the lowest score was on the physical activity subscale. The self-esteem, mental health status, satisfaction with school life, school year, perceived economic status, and gender accounted for 31.9% of the variance of health promoting lifestyle. Conclusion: Self-esteem was the most powerful influencing variable of the health promoting lifestyle, and physical activity was the lowest score of the health promoting lifestyle subscale. Therefor nursing educators should consider to include a health promotion program with increasing self esteem and physical activity in the nursing curriculum.
Purpose: In the present study, an analysis of the life of adolescents with complex congenital heart disease (CHD) was done using grounded theory. Consideration was given to the socio-cultural context of Korea. Methods: After approval from the institutional review board of Y hospital, 12 patients ranging in age from 14 to 35 were recruited. Data were gathered using in-depth interviews. Theoretical sampling was performed until the concepts were saturated. Results: The results confirmed the life of adolescents with complex CHD as a 'journey to finding uniqueness of oneself as a person with CHD'. The life consisted of 3 stages. In the crisis stage, participants had a feeling of threat to self-existence, and made an effort to be the same as others. In the self-recognition stage, participants who had sufficient role-performance built self-esteem while those who did not fell into self-accusation. In the self-establishment stage, participants who reached sufficiency in independence and knowledge planned the future, whereas those who did not conformed to the realities of life. Conclusion: The results of present study provide help in understanding the experiences of adolescents with CHD and provide a basis for developing nursing intervention strategies for these patients.

This study was designed to find out how the sociocultural attitudes toward appearance, BMI and body image of adult women affect their self-esteem. A questionnaire was prepared in the survey and a total of 456 adult women were selected by way of stratified random sampling. The research findings are as follows: 1. The sociocultural attitudes toward appearance were shown in two factors of 'internalization' and 'awareness'. The body image was shown in three dimensions of 'care for appearance', 'concern about weight', and 'appearance attractiveness'. 2. Internalization, recognition, and BMI influenced on 'care for appearance'. 'Concern about weight' was affected by internalization and BMI. Appearance attractiveness was affected only by BMI. 3. Adult women's self-esteem was influenced by appearance attractiveness, internalization, and care for appearance. 4. The behaviors of appearance management were differed according to the sociocultural attitudes towards appearance. Therefore, adult women form a higher degree of self-esteem is formed when they accept what they are regardless of their actual BMI and when they evaluate their body positively.
The purpose of this study is to identify the determinants of store loyalty for the Internet fashion shopping malls. As determinants, this study included self-image, perceived risk, and conformity. This study hypothesized that positive self-image influences the Internet fashion shopping mall loyalty through perceived risk and conformity. Regarding the relationship between perceived risk and conformity, this study hypothesized that perceived risk positively influences conformity. Using convenience sampling method, data were gathered by surveying university students living in Seoul. Two hundred forty four questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis, and factor analysis and path analysis were conducted using structural equation modeling in analyzing data. The results showed that positive self-image significantly influenced the internet fashion shopping mall loyalty indirectly by influencing perceived risk. The results also showed that perceived risk positively influenced conformity which positively influenced the internet fashion shopping mall loyalty.

The purpose of this study is to verify the research model and identify the causal relationship among leader's super leadership, self-leadership, psychological empowerment, sport commitment and performance perceived by Taekwondo athletes. The subjects of the study were middle and high school Taekwondo athletes registered in the Korea Taekwondo Association in 2020 and 2021, and data from 454 people were used as final effective samples through convenience sampling. The collected data used the SPSS 23.0 version and the Amos 21.0 version to verify the hypothesis. As a result, the following conclusions were obtained. First, we discovered that the leader's super leadership had a positive impact on the athlete's self-leadership, psychological empowerment, and sport commitment. Second, we found that the athlete's self-leadership had a positive effect on psychological empowerment, sport commitment, and performance. Third, we found that athlete's psychological empowerment had a positive effect on sport commitment and performance. Fourth, we found that the athlete's sport commitment had a negative effect on performance. Therefore, this study has reminded us about importance of psychological empowerment and sport commitment for explaining the relationship between leadership type and performance perceived by Taekwondo athletes, and might contribute to the theoretical discussion of variables related to athletes' performance.
