액정을 이용한 광자결정의 형성과 전기광학 효과 (Electro-optic Behavior of Photonic Crystals with Nematic Liquid-Crystal)

  • In this paper, we present a study of the structure and electro-optic behavior of hybrid liquid-crystal-silica sphere composite photonic crystals, formed by filling the (26% by volume) void space of fee (face centered cubic) silica opals infiltrated with a nematic liquid crystal. Three dimensional photonic crystals of visible range were fabricated via a self assembly method of silica spheres of submicron diameter. The expected fee structure was confirmed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) of the dehydrated crystal with glass removed. The photonic crystal exhibited significant electric-field-induced shift of the optical Bragg reflection peak when the liquid crystal has the long molecular axis oriented parallel to the sphere surfaces.

Psychosocial aspects of childhood cancer survivors

  • The majority of childhood cancer survivors and their families will be psychologically healthy, but may desire and benefit from preventive care. A significant portion of the survivor population will be psychosocially distressed in various aspects by their harsh experience of long cancer treatment, and may warrant professional intervention and treatment. Pediatricians should be aware of the late psychological effects that can occur a year or 2 after treatment, possibly in many aspects of a survivor's life. Not only the cancer diagnosis, but also treatments such as chemotherapy, irradiation, and surgical intervention may exert different long-term effects on the psychosocial outcomes of survivors. Pediatricians need to be more concerned with maintaining and improving the psychological health of this growing number of childhood cancer survivors through long-term follow-up clinics, community support, or self-help groups. Research on all of the psychosocial aspects of childhood cancer survivors is important to recognize the reality and problems they face in Korea.

  • The Purpose of this paper is to establish development strategies for sustainability of environment-Friendly agriculture based on farm awareness analysis. To analysis farm management, a series of farm household surveys were conducted on farmers residing in Embong-Myun. The sample size of the survey is 108 respectively. As a survey result, satisfaction level about market stability and understanding of upper organization is high, on the contrary, awareness of related organization is low in a relative sense. Most of farmers reveal their intention to sustain environment-Friendly agriculture but future agriculturalist and an ageing society that one face as well. In order to establish development strategies for sustainability of environment-Friendly agriculture, an infrastructure should be consistently expanded. On the other hand, self-supporting ability of farmer's organization and education system attempt to expand for sustainability.

암환자의 가발응용 헤어코디네이션에 대한 연구 (The Research about Wig-Utilizing Hair Coordination for Cancer Patients)

  • There become more people suffering from cancer, so the number of cancer patients are increasing as well. However, cancer patients should go through a lot of psychological and physical stress because of side effects of drugs, especially alopecia, during the treatments for cancer. Especially female patients relatively more take care of their appearance, therefore it imposes much more psychological stress for them. Most of the patients choose wig as an alternative, but it is difficult for them to choose right wigs because of their lack of knowledge about wigs. Wigs not only make up for the bald hair but helps asthetically if patients choose right wig which goes well with their face, and eventually helps patients have self-esteem and makes them be positive in their social activities. The purpose of this research to offer right data and qualitative aid about wig, so that it can enhance the quality of cancer patients' lives.

  • 인터넷 뱅킹, 전자 상거래 등의 도래에 따라 생체 인식이 중요한 이슈가 되고 있다. 이에 따라 뇌전도(Electro Encephalo Graphy: EEG)로 측정되는 생체 신호를 통하여 기존 생체 인식의 단점을 보완하는 새로운 연구가 시도되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 인간 본인의 얼굴 사진에 특별한 반응을 보인다는 신경 생리학적 지식을 기반으로 한, 새로운 개인 인증 기술을 제안한다. 구체적으로는 뇌 신호 반응 유도를 위한 시각 자극 제시 패러다임의 설계 EEG신호의 특징을 추출을 위한 개인-의존적인 시간 영역 및 채널 선택 및 효율적인 분류기 설계 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법을 이용한 실험 결과는 EEG 기반의 개인 인증 및 인식의 가능성을 제시한다.

  • Freckle is defined that it is one sort of dermatoses which appears in face, neck and the back of the hand et and is due to excess pigmentation. Likewise, Vitiligo and Cloasma belongs to dyspigmentation. Although dermatitis it self is a s1ight illness, the extent of studying dermatitis is quite extensive because it is connected direct1y with the patient's appearance. However there has not been a certain way yet. After taking into consideration of previous orienta1 medical doctor's views about freckle by refering to ten kinds of books inc1uding "Je-Bung-Won-Hu-Ron(諸病源候論)", it obtained some opinions which is about a synthetic views, and the difference in disease to discriminate about several different names, cause of disease, symptom and treatment. 히스테리성 실성증(失聲症)의 최면 치료 1례 (Hypnotherapy with Hysterical Aphonia)

  • 저자는 두부외상후 일시적으로 발생한 전환장애 증상인 히스테리성 실성증 환자 1례를 최면치료를 통해 성공적으로 치료하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하였다. 최면은 이완반응을 통해 심신의 긴장을 완화시키고 자아를 강화하여 증상통제에 자신감을 갖게 하였다. 저자는 최면치료 첫 시간부터 자기최면을 숙달하도록 하였다. 허용적이고 체면을 세워주는 암시방법으로 히스테리성 실성증이 소멸된 후 10개월이 지난 추적때까지 증상의 재발은 없었다.

  • Surface dry condition examination method on the KS F 2504(Testing method for specific gravity and absorption of fine aggregate) has dim detail prescriptions which can cause different ways of understanding based on one's convinence, not on correct means of rule. So we investigate the problems about the inconsistency on decisioing surface dry condition at management examination in the lab and scene. In conclusion, free-falling method is easier and faster than self-weight method. And we also found that the most important face on decisioning surface dry is compacting factor of tamping rod.

  • 본 연구에서 는 비지도 학습 방식인 SOFM(Self Organize Feature Maps)과 지도 학습인 다층 신경회로망을 이용하여 패턴 분류를 하는 방식을 제안하였다. SOFM을 이용하여 입력 패턴을 분류하여 얻은 결과를 다층 신경회로망의 초기 연결강도와 목표 값으로 설정한다. 제안한 방식의 유용성을 확인하기 위하여 얼굴 영상에 대하여 시뮬레이션한 결과 우수한 성능을 얻었다.

  • Hidden line removal(HLR) algorithms can be devised either in the image space or in the object space. This paper describes a hidden line removal algorithm in the object space specifically for the CAD viewer data. The approach is based on the Appel's 'Quantitative Invisibility' algorithm and fundamental concept of 'back face culling'. Input data considered in this algorithm can be distinguished from those considered for HLR algorithm in general. The original QI algorithm can be applied for the polyhedron models. During preprocessing step of our proposed algorithm, the self intersecting surfaces in the view direction are divided along the silhouette curves so that the QI algorithm can be applied. By this way the algorithm can be used for any triangulated freeform surfaces. A major advantage of this algorithm is the applicability to general CAD models and surface-based visualization data.
