Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between professional self-concept, self-efficacy and job satisfaction of clinical nurse in schoolwork. Method: Data was collected from convenient sample of 407 nurses in 3 cities. The questionnaire measured the level of professional self-concept, self-efficacy and job satisfaction of clinical nurse in schoolwork. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficient, partial correlation. Result: The mean score of professional self-concept was 2.83(${\pm}.34$) self-efficacy was 3.64(${\pm}.31$), job satisfaction was 3.12(${\pm}.38$). There were significant differences on three variables according to age, a clinical career, level of education. There was a significant positive correlation between professional self-concept and self-efficacy, job satisfaction. The self-efficacy was a significant positive correlation with job satisfaction. Conclusions: From the studies reviewed, it can expect the positive effect to improve the self-efficacy, professional self-concept and job satisfaction when the nurses who have continuous education and organizational support. These findings would be important resource to nurse administrators for clinical implication.
Purpose - This research aims to explore factors that could facilitate and/or impede consumers' long-term goal-relevant food consumption, in the pursuit of a long-term goal. Research Design, Data, and Methodology - The main experiment's sample comprised 289 female students at C University. The structural equation model of the Amos 18.0 program was used to verify the hypotheses. Results - Hypotheses concerning positive effects of long-term goal commitment and expectancy of long-term goal attainment, and negative effects of pleasure-seeking needs on long-term goal-relevant food consumption behaviors were accepted. Furthermore, self-efficacy's positive effects on long-term goal commitment and expectancy of long-term goal attainment, and negative effects on the strength of pleasure-seeking were explored. Appearance self-esteem negatively affected long-term goal commitment. Conclusions - Individuals' self-efficacy positively affects long-term goal commitment and expectancy of long-term goal attainment, and significantly weakens the need to seek pleasure in food consumption behaviors. Appearance self-esteem negatively affects long-term goal commitment. Both long-term goal commitment and expectancy of long-term goal attainment significantly positively influence long-term goal-relevant food consumption behaviors. However, those heavily needing pleasure-seeking are less likely to engage in such behaviors.
Background: Personal socio-economic abilities are crucial as it affects health inequalities. These multidimensional inequalities across the regions have been structured and fixed. This study aimed to analyze health vulnerabilities by regional cluster and identify regional health disparities of self-rated health, using nationally representative cross-sectional data. Methods: This study used personal and regional data. Data from the Community Health Survey 2021 were analyzed. K-means cluster analysis was applied to 250 si-gun-gu using administrative regional data. The clusters were based on three areas: physical environment, health-related behaviors and biological factors, and the psychosocial environment through the conceptual framework for action on the social determinants of health. And binary logistic regression analyses were conducted to examine the differences in self-rated health status by the regional clusters, controlling human biology, environment, lifestyle, and healthcare organization factors. Results: The most vulnerable group was group 3, the moderate vulnerable group was group 1, and the least vulnerable group was group 2. The group 2 was more likely to have high self-rated health status than the moderate vulnerable group (odds ratio [OR], 1.023; p<0.001). And the group 3 showed low self-rated health status than the moderate vulnerable group (OR, 0.775; p<0.001). However, the moderate vulnerable group had significantly higher self-rated health status than the most vulnerable group (group 2: OR, 1.023; p<0.001; group 3: OR, 0.775; p<0.001). Conclusion: These results demonstrate that community members' health status is influenced by regional determinants of health and individual levels. And these contribute to understanding the importance of specific and differentiated interventions like locally tailored support programs considering both individual and regional health determinants.

Methamphetamine (MA) is one of the most commonly abused drugs in the world by illegal drug users. Addiction to MA is a serious public health problem and effective therapies do not exist to date. It has also been reported that behavior induced by psychostimulants such as MA is related to histone deacetylase (HDAC). MeBib is an HDAC6 inhibitor derived from a benzimidazole scaffold. Many benzimidazole-containing compounds exhibit a wide range of pharmacological activity. In this study, we investigated whether HDAC6 inhibitor MeBib modulates the behavioral response in MA self-administered rats. Our results demonstrated that the number of active lever presses in MA self-administered rats was reduced by pretreatment with MeBib. In the hippocampus of rats, we also found MA administration promotes GluN2B, an NMDA receptor subunit, expression, which results in sequential activation of ERK/CREB/BDNF pathway, however, MeBib abrogated it. Collectively, we suggest that MeBib prevents the MA seeking response induced by MA administration and therefore, represents a potent candidate as an MA addiction inhibitor.
The object rye of this study is to analyze the relationship of the main variables - perceived usefulness (PU) and perceived ease of use (PEOU) - wi th self-efficacy and IT service quality. In result, we show that IT service quality effects on PEOU and PU, and computer self-efficacy effects on PEOU.
In this study, we examined the effects of self-efficacy and self-esteem on employment anxiety based on existing prior study and verified the moderating effect of academic stress between self-efficacy and employment anxiety, and moderating effect of academic stress between self-esteem and employment anxiety and the analysis result are as follows. The first result shows that self-efficacy and self-esteem negatively affect employment anxiety. Second, academic stress has not played a role of moderating in the relationship between self-efficacy and employment anxiety. As academic stress increases, employment anxiety increases. However, the regression analysis results confirmed that the academic stress can be an independent variable that explains employment anxiety. Finally, academic stress plays a role of moderating in the relationship between self-esteem and employment anxiety. This means that students with relatively high self-esteem are less likely to have employment anxiety than those who do not, and that increasing academic stress increases the employment anxiety of college students.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of self-efficacy and empowerment on perceived organizational support and organizational citizenship behavior of nurses. Method: The subjects of this study were 327 nurses who were working at seven hospitals. The data were collected by structured questionnaire from Feb. 12 to Mar. 5 of 2006. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and Stepwise multiple regression on SPSS/PC 12.0 program. Results: The mean score of self-efficacy was 3.75, empowerment was 3.68, perceived organizational support(POS) was 2.87, and organizational citizenship behavior(OCB) was 3.64. The POS had statistically significant differences according to position(F=3.207, p=.013). The self-efficacy and empowerment were positively correlated with POS and OCB. The self-efficacy(7.0%), meaning(8.5%), competency(12.4%), self-determination(1.9%), and impact(4.8%) explained 34.6% of the variance for POS. The self-efficacy(17.1%), meaning(1.0%), competency(2.8%), self-determination(3.2%), and impact(13.2%) explained 37.3% of the variance for OCB. Conclusion: The findings showed that self-efficacy and empowerment were important factors for enhancing POS and OCB in nursing organization. Therefore, the nurse manager must establish the strategies to improve the self-efficacy and empowerment of the nurses in order to promote the POS and OCB.
Purpose: The objective of this study was to investigate the influence of hospital nurses' self-leadership, communication skill, and self-esteem on the quality of nursing service. Methods: The participants, 230 nurses working at a general hospital in Seoul, completed a cross-sectional descriptive questionnaire survey between January 17 and 28, 2014. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS 19.0 program for descriptive statistics, t-test, one way & two way ANOVA, correlation, and multiple regression analysis. Results: Nurses' self-esteem and communication skill had significant main effects on self-leadership and the quality of nursing service, but the interaction effect of the two independent variables was not significant. Variables that significantly influenced the quality of nursing service were self-leadership, communication skill, self-esteem, and career longevity. The explanatory power of these variables for the quality of nursing service was 54.4%. Conclusion: Findings indicate a need for education programs for nurses which are designed to promote communication skill and enhance self-esteem and self-leadership skills which will in turn enhance the quality of nursing service.
The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of self-leadership and self-efficacy on organizational performance, or more specifically, job satisfaction, organizational concentration and organizational citizenship behavior and then the effects of hospital organization members' job attitude on organizational performance, helping strengthen capability that individuals of the members have and ultimately improve that performance. Findings of the study can be summarized as follows. First, self-leadership has statistically significant effects on organizational citizenship behavior. Second, self-leadership has statistically significant influences on self-effectiveness, especially job satisfaction and organizational concentration. Third, how self-efficacy influences organizational effectiveness was examined to find that self-efficacy has significant effects on organizational concentration, but not on job satisfaction. Fourth, self-efficacy has no effect on organizational citizenship behavior. Fifth, how organizational effectiveness influences organizational citizenship behavior was investigated to find that effectiveness has statistically significant effects on organizational concentration, but not on job satisfaction.
