It's been a common knowledge that Indonesia has a multicultural nature which produces a rich civilization, traditional textiles is one of the examples. Indonesian textile is one of the earlier/oldest artefacts being studied. The wide range of its selections also a proof that Indonesia already had an advanced culture. In Indonesia, textile isn't just a mere cloth; it also used to refer your social statuses, a ritual complements aspect, and many other symbolic purposes. Celebes textiles just a small example how rich this country culture is. The purpose of this study was to convince people that Indonesian traditional textile has a potential to stand in same ground with any modern textile produced around the world.

With reasonable control selections on the space of functions, various application models can take the shape of a well-defined control system on mathematics. In the credibility space, controlability management of fuzzy differential equation is as much important issue as stability. This paper addresses exact controllability for fuzzy differential equations in the credibility space in the perspective of Liu process. This is an extension of the controllability results of Park et al. (Controllability for the semilinear fuzzy integro-differential equations with nonlocal conditions) to fuzzy differential equations driven by Liu process.

다항 로지스틱 회귀모형의 설명변수가 연속형과 범주형을 모두 포함할 때 범주형 설명변수는 직합을 적용하고 연속형 설명변수는 텐서곱을 적용하는 모형을 제안한다. 변수선택의 기준으로 BIC를 사용하고, 제안된 모형의 알고리즘을 구현하였다. 구현된 알고리즘을 실제 자료에 적용하여 기존의 방법과 비교하여 제안된 모형이 더 좋은 분류율을 보임을 확인하였다.

In this paper, we propose a user-centric conflict management method for media services which exploits personal companions for the harmonious detection and resolution of service conflicts. To detect conflicts based on the varying characteristics of individual users, the proposed method exploits the unified context describing all users attempting to access media services. It recommends and mediates users' preferred media contents through a shared screen and personal companions to resolve the detected conflicts. During the recommendation, a list of preferred media contents is displayed on the shared screen, and a personally preferred content list is shown on the user's personal companion comprising the selection of media contents. Mediation assists the selection of a consensual service by gathering the users' selections and highlighting the common media contents. In experiments carried out in a ubiHome, we observed that recommendations and mediation are useful in harmoniously resolving conflicts by encouraging user participation in conflict situations.

The effect of code selection for a multicode DS/CDMA system is evaluated for a high deta rate transmission, The performance is evaluated in terms of bit error and outage probabilities. The multipath fading channel is modeled as a Nakagami-m distribution which has been known to be appropriate to model the multipath fading in urban as well as indoor channels. From simulation results, it is shown that the concatenated sequence of Walsh code and Gold sequence is most promising among many code selections. The considerations in this paper can be applied to the next-generation mobile communication systems such as IMT-2000 which requires high bit rate transmissions.

The purpose of this study was to determine relationship among the observed frequencies of 12 beverages selected by college men and women according to sex, age, race and academic classification and to estimate consumption of milk according to sex, age, race and academic classification. The instrument consisted of a check list and four questions. The sample of 282 subjects, 149 college men and 133 college women, was made by the accidental choice method. Observations occurred in the university center cafeteria at the dinner meal. The significant relationship s were sex and race in association with beverage selections by all subjects. The proportion of men in the distribution who selected regular , carbonated soft drinks and the proportion of white students who selected any of the carobnated soft drinks were the influencies. The result of the study indicated that carbonated soft drinks were the most preferred items followed by milk, water, iced tea, fruit juices, coffee, cocoa, and tea.

The Bayes factors with improper noninformative priors are defined only up to arbitrary constants. So, it is known that Bayes factors are not well defined due to this arbitrariness in Bayesian hypothesis testing and model selections. The intrinsic Bayes factor by Berger and Pericchi (1996) and the fractional Bayes factor by O'Hagan (1995) have been used to overcome this problems. This paper suggests intrinsic priors for testing the equality of two lognormal means, whose Bayes factors are asymptotically equivalent to the corresponding fractional Bayes factors. Using proposed intrinsic priors, we demonstrate our results with a simulated dataset.

Video adaptation in response to dynamic resource conditions and user preferences is required as a key technology to enable universal multimedia access (UMA) through heterogeneous networks by a multitude of devices in a seamless way. Although many adaptation techniques exist, selections of appropriate adaptations among multiple choices are often ad hoc. To provide a systematic solution, we present a general conceptual framework to model video entity, adaptation, resource, utility, and relations among them. It allows for formulation of various adaptation problems as resource-constrained utility maximization. We apply the framework to a practical case of dynamic bit rate adaptation. Furthermore, we present a description tool, which has been accepted as a part of the MPEG-21 Digital Item Adaptation (DIA), along with a brief overview of the .elated descriptors to support terminal and network quality of service (QoS).

Development is given to an optimal network design method using continuous design variables. Modified Hooke-and-Jeeves algorithm is implemented in order to solve nonlinear programming problem which is approximately equivalent to the real network design problem with system efficiency crieteria and improvement cost as objective function. the method was tested for various forms of initial solution, and dimensions of initial step size of link improvements. At each searching point of evaluating the objective function, a link flow problem was solved with user equilibrium principles using the Frank-Wolfe algorithm. The results obtained are quite promising interms fo numbers of evaluation, and the speed of convergence. Suggestions are given to selections of efficient initial solution, initial step size and convergence criteria. An approximate method is also suggested for reducing computation time.

The purpose of this study is to consider how to restructure the university geometry curriculum and contents in terms of applications to theoretical computer science. We analyzed various topics from computer graphics, CAGD(computer aided geometric design) and computational geometry suitable for geometry students interested in applications. Moreover we discussed about selections of topics for several cases.
