  • This paper deals with the selection of the important Influencing Factors (IFs) under accident management situations in nuclear power plants for use in the assessment of human errors. In order to achieve this goal, we collected two types of IF taxonomies, one is the full set IF list mainly developed for human error analysis. and the other is the IFs for human reliability analysis (HRA) in probabilistic safety assessment (PSA). Five sets of IF taxonomy among the full set IF list and ten sets of IF taxonomy among HRA methodologies were collected in the study. From the review and analysis of BRA IFs, we could obtain some insights for the selection of HRA IFs. By considering the situational characteristics of the accident management domain, candidate IFs are chosen. Finally, those IFs are structured hierarchically to be appropriate for the use in the assessment of human error under accident management situation. Three nuclear accidents such as TMI. Chernobyl and JCO were analysed to validate the proposed taxonomy.

  • The world economy has came into unlimited competition with globalization since 1990. Opening markets to the world is in progress through the expansion of world free trade and internationalization of multinational enterprises. In the maritime transportation for world trade, shipping companies pursue "Hub & Spoke" strategy so a port which is not able to be located as a hub port is degraded as a feeder port. To attract shipping companies, it is necessary for existing ports to provide differentiated service. This paper devises marketing strategies for a competitive port after evaluating relation among the factors affecting port selection when a shipping company chooses a port of call. On the basis of determinants derived from existing researches, we study the relation as well as importance among the factors of port selection.

For this, 30 detailed attributing factors were identified by both previous studies and port users, Also, 13 attributing evaluation factors were identified by a group of port experts using the brainstorming method. These were made into a model of hierarchical structure with 3 levels, taking 1 goal factor, 5 evaluation factors and 7 alternative factors using the ISM method. The collected date of questionnaires through the AHP method were analyzed with a group of port experts for an empirical analysis. The result of the hierarchical level 2 shows that profitability is the most important factor, followed by public interest, management professionality, service quality and financial soundness. In the results of the analysis, the factor most considered when male and female consumers in 20s~30s purchase clothing was fitting, and followed by convenience, stable shape, condition, design, and others' reaction in order. However, those 'design', 'convenience', 'others' reaction' and 'condition' factors were significantly different between groups. Therefore, the significance of this study is that fashion brands could develop new positioning maps for marketing and promotional strategies based on the pursuit of clothing benefit shown in this study.

  • The purpose of our this research, based on the Media Selection Theory, the Technology Acceptance Model, and the Social Influence Theory, is to investigate the influential factors that affect media selection in banking transactions. Analyses showed that for location sensitive bank window's and ATMs (automatic teller machines), defined as offline-based transaction channels, convenience was the variable affecting media selection. However, in the case of online media not related to location, (phone banking, internet banking, and mobile banking) reliability was the significant variable influencing use. The findings show that banking organizations may benefit from identifying traits of media affecting use, and should differentiate customer services for competitive advantage.

  • The purpose of this study is to derive various clues for the establishment of marketing strategies for companies that produce and sell high-involvement products for Millennials who are not the subject of current consumption but who will lead future consumption. For this purpose, this study aimed to derive 17 factors of high-involvement product selection attributes through FGI, and its relationship on repurchase intention after make a variable through PCA. A total of 158 valid questionnaires were used, and IPA, independent sample t-test, regression analysis, and hierarchical controlled regression analysis were performed. The results showed that overall, external and internal selection factors had a positive influence on repurchase intentions, and in particular, appealing to internal and external selection factors in order to promote repurchase intention. Meanwhile, the Millennials were found to have no gender difference. Therefore, the company producing and selling high-involvement products suggests that it is necessary to make a priority effort to secure brand awareness, trust in product producers, store trust, and product self-reputation as components of internal selection factors. It was also concluded that more strategic efforts were needed to focus on and appeal to the characteristics of the Millennial itself rather than to consider gender differences.
