Since variety of construction projects with their individual specifications could be handled through different procurement systems, selection of the most appropriate project delivery system is a vital step towards more efficient project execution. The appropriate selection of project delivery system may also ensure more competent management of the project. Its impacts are not only limited to the first stages of the project, as it could also influence pre-construction, construction and operational phases of the project. Among different approaches exerted for this purpose, none has taken uncertainty into account, despite the fact that during first stages of the project most of the selection factors are still uncertain and not clearly defined. This paper, hence, aims to provide a fuzzy insight into the project delivery system selection. Through this approach more tangible model of the evaluation process may be presented. Proposed fuzzy method is indeed a multi criteria decision making model, based on the group of criteria, assigned for the evaluation procedure. A case study is also conducted, based on the opinion of an invented group of the experts.

The survey for this study was conducted in Vietnam, and was based on previous studies concerning Korean restaurant selection criteria and menu selection criteria that were done within Korea. The survey was conducted particularly, among Vietnamese who had eaten Korean food at a local Korean restaurant, in order to gain some perspective on the marketing of Korean restaurants in Vietnam. The results of the survey showed the following: (1) Vietnamese are very interested in Korean food; (2) they prefer unique recipes, and health food; (3) the main factors that affected selection of Korean restaurants were atmosphere, food features, sanitation, menu, and familiarity; (4) the main factors for a selecting dish from a Korean restaurant menu were social factors, menu, variety, recognition, uniqueness, and reasonable price. This study can contribute to the advancement of Korean restaurants in the Vietnamese market, which has been showing great interest in Korean culture and food.

빅데이터 분석은 데이터의 양, 처리속도, 다양성 측면에서 데이터 마이닝과 달리 문제해결과 의사결정을 위해서는 새로운 도구를 필요로 한다. 많은 글로벌 IT기업들은 사용하기 쉽고 기능성이 우수한 모델링 능력을 가진 다양한 빅데이터 제품을 출시하고 있다. 빅데이터 패키지는 분석도구, 인프라, 플랫폼 형태로 하드웨어와 소프트웨어를 포함한 솔루션이다. 빅데이터의 수집, 저장, 분석, 시각화가 가능한 제품이다. 빅데이터 패키지는 업체별로 제품 종류가 많고 복잡한 기능을 가질 뿐만 아니라 선정에 있어서 전문 지식을 필요로 하며 일반적인 소프트웨어 패키지보다 그 중요성이 높기 때문에 의사결정 방법의 개발이 요구된다. 본 연구는 빅데이터 패키지 도입을 위한 의사결정지원방법을 제안하는 것이 목표이다. 문헌적 고찰을 통하여 빅데이터 패키지의 특징과 기능을 비교하고, 선정기준을 제안한다. 패키지 도입 타당성을 평가하기 위하여 비용과 혜택 각각을 목표노드로 하는 AHP 모델 및 선정기준을 목표노드로 하는 AHP 모델을 제안하고 이들을 결합하여 최적의 패키지를 선정하는 과정을 보인다.

The purpose of this study was; to investigate consumers'selection criteria for their trade area when purchasing apparel products; to study whether there is a difference on the importance of the selection criteria; to examine consumers'willingness to visit specific trade area according to the types of apparel products. Four hundred sixty-nine female consumers who lived in the two new towns, Bundang and Ilsan participated in the study by completing questionnaires. Data were analyzed using factor analyses, t-tests, paired t-teats and chi-square analyses. The results indicated that consumer selected trade area based on shop variety within trade areas and range of products, customer services, environment of trade area, price level, entertaining features of the trade area, and the convenience of location and shopping time. In addition, the importance of these criteria varied according to the types of apparel products(i.e. formal wears and casual wears). The types of apparel products had influence on consumers'willingness to visit specific trade area. Consumers preferred the trade areas in the new towns for purchasing formal wears, whereas they frequented the trade areas in Seoul for purchasing casual wears.

The purpose of the study is to determine the efficiency, position, and partner selection of securities companies via the negative super-SBM model used in data envelopment analysis (DEA). This model utilizes a variety of inputs, including current assets, non-current assets, fixed assets, liabilities, owner's equity and charter capital, and outputs including net revenue, gross profit, operating profit, and net profit after tax collected from the financial reports (Vietstock, 2020) of 32 securities companies, operating during the period from 2016 to 2019, negative data are collected as well. Empirical results determined both efficient and inefficient terms, and then further determined the position of each securities firm under consideration of every term. The overall score arrived at discovered a large performance change realizing a maximum score able to reach 20.791. In the next stage, alliancing inefficient companies was carried out based on the 2019 scores to seek out optimal partners for the inefficient companies. The tested result indicated that AAS was the best partner selection when its partners received a good result after alliancing, as with FTS (11.04469). The partner selection is deemed as a solution helpful to inefficient securities companies in order to improve their future efficiency scores.

Cooperative transmission is an effective solution to improve the performance of wireless communications over fading channels without the need for physical co-located antenna arrays. In this paper, selection combining is used at the destination instead of maximal ratio combing to optimize the structure of destination and to reduce power consumption in selective decode-and-forward relaying networks. For an arbitrary number of relays, an exact and closed-form expression of the bit error rate (BER) is derived for M-PAM, M-QAM, and M-PSK, respectively, in both independent identically distributed and independent but not identically distributed Rayleigh fading channels. A variety of simulations are performed and show that they match exactly with analytic ones. In addition, our results show that the optimum number of relays depend not only on channel conditions (operating SNRs) but also on modulation schemes which to be used.

Railload line design of the railroad construction project should be planed considering the variety of quantitative and qualitative factors, and needs to be selected the optimum altinative weighing from VE/LCC analysis of the planned design. The purpose of this research is for showing selecting plan of the optimum railload line and railway bridge applying VE/LCC analysis in selecting the optimum altinative of railroad construction based on quantitative and qualitative factors, such as initial construction cost, maintenance cost, owner and user's requirements. In this research showed the application plan by each stage using data analysis, function analysis, and alternative evaluation of VE/LCC analysis with AHP and LCC analysis program for the selection. This research is proved the rationality and application of the course of selecting the optimum alternative through case application

Schwarz's Bayesian information criterion (BIC) is one of the most popular criteria for model selection, that was derived under the assumption of independent and identical distribution. For correlated data in longitudinal studies, Jones (Statistics in Medicine, 30, 3050-3056, 2011) modified the BIC to select the best linear mixed effects model based on the effective sample size where the number of parameters in covariance structure was not considered. In this paper, we propose an extended Jones' modified BIC by considering covariance parameters. We conducted simulation studies under a variety of parameter configurations for linear mixed effects models. Our simulation study indicates that our proposed BIC performs better in model selection than Schwarz's BIC and Jones' modified BIC do in most scenarios. We also illustrate an example of smoking data using a longitudinal cohort of cancer patients.
