  • There was not the evident analysis about the cutting process of CNC machining, and wouldn't be difficult to estimate the result of machining for the various cutting conditions. Therefore they were not founded the systemic technology about the optimum cutting conditions and selection of cutting tools. So this study have investigated the common facts for needs through the end-mill cutting machining by Machining-Centers or High-speed cutting machines, and developed the user-centered intelligent decision system to selection of the methodology about cutting conditions to improve the machining efficiency of end-mill cutting process.

  • We have studied the prearranged plan and the economy of a candidate site for the development of small hydro power. And also we have confirmed its economy by suggesting the technology of the unmanned operation and the selection of the water turbine generator which has a great efficiency. working rate and suitability to the topographical characteristics of various development sites, for example, irrigation reservoirs, water works pipes, sewage systems and cool ing water of a steam power stat ion. Besides we give more examples of the select ion of Francis, propeller turbine and induction generator which can achieve a maximum of power production at a minimum construction cost. With a water turbine which runs at the low head we are able to suggest many programs to boost a development of small hydro power more economically.

대구.경북 시군별 지역농업 특성화 품목 도출에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Selection of Agricultural Specialization Items in Daegu and Kyungpook Region)

  • The objective of this study is to investigate a priority and selection of agricultural specialization items from Daegu and Gyeongbuk region by using analytical tools such as, the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) and the Scoring Method. The results of this study are as follows; 1) Five major items were selected for each region based on Daegu and Gyeongbuk regional agricultural performances. 2) The results of AHP analysis, Daegu and Gyeongbuk's agricultural experts evaluated the weight of three decision-elements(objectiveness 0.35, efficiency 0.341, identity 0.309) and seven decision-elements. 3) Results of AHP and Scoring Method analysis, Investigated a priority of agricultural specialization 3 items in 25 cities and districts Daegu and Gyeongbuk regional agricultural performances. 4) Finally, The results of this study will provide basic information on agricultural specialization policy in Daegu and Gyeongbuk region.

  • This study is concerned with seeking the optimal allocation(disposition) for maximizing utility of consolidating old fashioned and new air defense weapon system like SAM-X(Patriot missile) and developing efficient solution algorithm based on simulated annealing(SA) algorithm. The SED(selection by effectiveness degree) procedure is implemented with an enhanced SA algorithm in which neighboring solutions could be generated only within the optimal feasible region by using a specially designed PERTURB function. Computational results conducted on the problem sets with a variety of size and parameters shows the significant efficiency of our SED algorithm over existing methods in terms of both the computation time and the solution quality.

수송수단의 선택이 허용된 생산 및 배송 스케줄링에 관한 연구 (Production-and-Delivery Scheduling with Transportation Mode Selection Allowed)

  • This paper considers a scheduling problem to minimize the sum of the associated scheduling (production/delivery times) cost and the delivery cost for an integrated system of a single production machine and various transportation vehicles with transportation mode selection allowed. Each transportation mode is provided with a fixed number of vehicles at the associated delivery time and cost. The proposed problem is characterized as being NP-hard. Some solution properties are also characterized. Therewith, three heuristic algorithms (called SPT-based, LWF-based and WSPT-based heuristic) and a branch-and-bound algorithm are derived. In order to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed algorithms, computational experiments are made with some numerical instances.

  • One of the most important technical improvement required for ropeless elevator system to become practical is the improvements in overall system efficiency. Moreover, the predominant drawback of permanent magnet (PM) linear synchronous motor (LSM) is large detent force. Therefore, for the given volume the selection of high power density PM-LSM with low detent force is very imperative. In this paper, we will investigate the characteristics of thrust and detent force of PM-LSM under different motor topology structure. Finally, the long stator double-sided iron core type PM-LSM with fractional slot winding is the best choice for the ropeless elevator system.

Inter Simple Sequence Repeat (ISSR) Polymorphism and Its Application in Mulberry Genome Analysis

  • Molecular markers have increasingly been used in plant genetic analysis, due to their obvious advantages over conventional phenotypic markers, as they are highly polymorphic, more in number, stable across different developmental stages, neutral to selection and least influenced by environmental factors. Among the PCR based marker techniques, ISSR is one of the simplest and widely used techniques, which involves amplification of DNA segment present at an amplifiable distance in between two identical microsatellite repeat regions oriented in opposite direction. Though ISSR markers are dominant like RAPD, they are more stable and reproducible. Because of these properties ISSR markers have recently been found using extensively for finger printing, pohylogenetic analysis, population structure analysis, varietal/line identification, genetic mapping, marker-assisted selection, etc. In mulberry (Morus spp.), ISSR markers were used for analyzing phylogenetic relationship among cultivated varieties, between tropical and temperate mulberry, for solving the vexed problem of identifying taxonomic positions of genotypes, for identifying markers associated with leaf yield attributing characters. As ISSR markers are one of the cheapest and easiest marker systems with high efficiency in generating polymorphism among closely related varieties, they would play a major role in mulberry genome analysis in the future.

  • The problem of selecting a portfolio is to find Un investment plan that achieves a desired return while minimizing the risk involved. One stream of algorithms are based upon mixed integer linear programming models and guarantee an integer optimal solution. But these algorithms require too much time to apply to real problems. Another stream of algorithms are fur a near optimal solution and are fast enough. But, these also have a weakness in that the solution generated can't be guaranteed to be integer values. Since it is not a trivial job to tansform the scullion into integer valued one simutaneously maintaining the quality of the solution, they are not easy to apply to real world portfolio selection. To tackle the problem more efficiently, we propose an algorithm which generates a very good integer solution in reasonable amount of time. The algorithm is tested using Korean stock market data to verify its accuracy and efficiency.

  • The existing fisheries managers ignored the fishery environment changes, have built competitively vessels of efficiency superiority with related corporations, and have captured indisciminately fisheries resourecs. The economical engine horsepower selection model for fishing vessels shorter than 24m is developed. Also, the economical engine horsepower selection model system is verified by the existing vessels, and the optimum vessel scale and engine horsepower classified by the type of fishery and scale are proposed.
