물체의 분광반사율 추정을 위한 최적필터의 선정 (Optimization of color filters selection to estimate surface spectral reflectance of Munsell colors)

  • The object color does not look same under the different light source. It depends on the surface spectral reflectance and the spectral distribution of light source. Therefore we should find the surface spectral reflectance of object color and the spectral distribution of light source for color reproduction. Using Wiener estimation, we can estimate the spectral reflectance from low dimensional images obtained with multi-band image acquisition system. The kind and the number of imaging filters have the effect on the estimation of the spectral reflectance. Therefore it is important that optimal filters are selected to minimize the error of the result. In this paper, we describe methods to select optimal filters with minimum error between measured and estimated surface spectral reflectance and to estimate surface spectral reflectance of Munsell color chart from six multi-band images by using Wiener estimation.

  • With the development of mobile internet, requirements of positioning accuracy for the LBS (Location Based Service) are becoming more and more higher. The LBS is based on the position of each mobile device. So, it requires a proper acquisition of accurate user's indoor position. Thus indoor positioning technology and its accuracy is crucial for various LBS. In general, RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) measurements are used to obtain the position information of mobile unit under WLAN environment. However, indoor positioning error increases as multiple AP's configurations are becoming more complex. To overcome this problem, an enhanced indoor localization method by AP (Access Point) selection criteria adopting DOP (Dilution of Precision) is proposed.

  • The performance of electroencephalogram (EEG) recordings is affected by electrode type, electronic parameters such as filtering, amplification, signal conversion, data storage; and environmental conditions. However, no single method has been identified for optimal EEG recording quality in all situations. Therefore, we aimed to provide general principles for EEG electrode selection as well as electronic noise reduction, and to present comprehensive information regarding the acquisition of satisfactory EEG signals. The standards provided in this document may be regarded as Korean guidelines for the clinical recording of EEG data. The equipment, types and nomenclature of electrodes, and the details for EEG recording are discussed.

  • The selection of Cement types is greatly dependent on the structural requirement and consturction location associated with control of hydration heat, acquisition of early strength, existence of sulfate attacks and so on. Based on this, this study adresses the comparison of physical properties of concrete according to the use of different cement types. As a result of testing with OPC, blast furnace slag and low heat cement, it is found that concrete made with low heat cement is much better in term of hydration heat and permeability. It is also recommended to select a preper cement type depending on structural characteristics.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 음악자료 중 1차자료로서 모든 음악활동의 기초가 되는 악보자료의 활용을 위한 효율적인 관리의 기초를 마련하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 악보자료에 대해 문헌연구를 통해 악보자료 관리에 대하여 선정 및 수집 조직 이용서비스에 대한 제반사항을 고찰하였다. 그리고 이를 기초로 현재 대전 충남지역 대학도서관의 악보자료 관리현황에 대해 조사한 후, 현재 악보자료 관리의 문제점을 파악하고 이후의 효율적인 관리를 위한 과제를 제시하였다.

  • The railroad facilities are intended for long-term operation as the initial acquisition costs necessary for infrastructure construction are high. Therefore, regular maintenance of railroad facilities is essential, and furthermore, system reliability through systematic performance evaluation is required. In this study, the signal control system of railroad electrical equipment was selected as the subject of research and the performance evaluation target facility selection study was conducted using AHP. The results of the study can contribute to the reliability of the signal control system as well as to the reliability of the railroad system, which is a higher system.

The Health Belief Model - Is it relevant to Korea?

  • With rapid economic development, the emphasis of the public health movement in Korea has shifted towards addressing the burden of chronic disease. With this shift in direction comes a greater focus on health behaviour and the need for planning models to assist in lifestyle modification programs. The Health Belief Model (HBM), which originated in the US, has generated more research than any other theoretical approach to describe and predict the health behaviour of individuals. In recent years it has been applied in many different cultures and modifications have been suggested to accommodate different cultures. Given the centrality of language and culture, any attempts to use models of health behaviour developed in a different culture, must be studied and tested for local applicability. The paper reviews the applicability and suitability of the HBM in Korea, in the context of the Korean language and culture. The HBM has been used in Korea for almost three decades. The predictability of the HBM has varied in Korean studies as in other cultures. Overall, this literature review indicates that the HBM has been found applicable in predicting health and illness behaviours by Korean people. However if the HBM is used in a Korean context, the acquisition of health knowledge is an important consideration. Most new knowledge in the health sciences is originally published in English and less frequently in another foreign language. Most health knowledge in Korea is acquired through the media or from health professionals and its acquisition often involves translation from the original. The selection of articles for translation and the accuracy of translation into language acceptable in the Korean culture become important determinants of health knowledge. As such translation becomes an important part of the context of the HBM. In this paper modifications to the HBM are suggested to accommodate the issues of language and knowledge in Korea.

후두전적출환자의 Voice Rehabilitation에 대한보고 (The Report of Voice Rehabilitation after Total Laryngectomy)

  • Background and Objectives : Esophageal voice, Silicone voice Prosthesis with tracheo-esophageal (T-E) puncture have been used as vocal rehabilitation methods for postlaryngectomy. However, long-term follow-up in the voice rehabilitation in the total laryngectomees has not been reported. The purpose of this study is to analyze practice of postlaryngectomy voice rehabilitation and to find the effective voice rehabilitation. Materials and Methods : From Jan 1992 until June 2002, 75 patients underwent a total laryngectomy at Yongdong Severance Hospital. We retrospectively studied voice rehabilitation methods commonly used, acquisition levels of esophageal speech, patients satisfaction scale (5 rating scale) according to the methods in 33 of them (40 died, 2 unavailable) by using charts review, telephone interview. Results : T-E speech is most commonly used by 14 patients (42.4%) : A tracheo-esophageal procedure (primary or secondary puncture) by 21 : and 8 patients removed Provox. 1 patient had no voice rehabilitation. 7 patients (21.2%) have used esophageal speech : 4 patients of them have used it after removing Provox. Electrolarynx has been used with other voice rehabilitation methods : 4 patients have only used this method and 3 patients with T-E speech, 1 patient with esophageal speech. However, 6 patients (18%) remained without a substitute voice rehabilitation. In the satisfaction with speech and management of voice rehabilitation methods, patients using esophageal speech were most satisfied (4.1), patients with T-E speech were unsatisfied (2.3). Regarding with the acquisition level of esophageal speech in 33 patients, 22 patients (66.6%) failed without functional speech. Conclusion : To increase patients satisfaction and to achieve successful voice rehabilitation after total laryngectomy, preoperative counseling, pretesting, appropriate patient selection of each method and team decision-making and postoperative voice therapy must be considered.

미래입체관광의 최적지선정 및 개발을 위한 3차원지형분석모델링 기법 (A Technique on the 3-D Terrain Analysis Modeling for Optimum Site Selection and development of Stereo Tourism in the Future)

  • 최근 인터넷 및 사이버 관광을 위한 다양한 콘텐츠 개발이 여러 분야에서 시도되고 있다. 3차원 지형환경의 공간 영상콘텐츠는 국토계획 및 국토정보의 미래 관광콘텐츠로서 입체적인 유비쿼터스 도시 구현에 의한 안전한 관광을 위한 주요한 공간정보로 이용할 수 있게 됨에 따라 그 중요성이 크게 부각되고 있다. 국내 운행하고 있는 국토 및 도시지역의 국토의 공간정보를 정밀하게 촬영하기 위하여 인공위성과 항공기에 카메라를 탑재하여 원하는 지역에 대한 다양한 사진영상을 입체 촬영을 실시하여 필요한 공간 정보를 확보할 수 있게 되었다. 다양한 지형공간정보를 직접 혹은 간접으로 수집하여 데이터베이스화하기 위한 정확한 초기 공간 자료의 수집, 저장, 편집, 조작 및 응용기술의 데이터베이스 구축을 통하여 미래의 변화된 3차원 지형 공간 콘텐츠 구성을 확보하여 유비쿼터스 미래 체험관광을 새로운 관광산업에서 크게 활용할 수 있도록 하였다. 본 연구의 결과로 미래 입체관광을 위한 3차원 지형공간정보의 분석과 모델링에 의하여 지능형 국토정보화와 더불어 간접적으로 입체적인 현장체험과 관광 적지분석으로 다양한 공간정보의 취득과 활용을 입증할 수 있었다.

사례기반 추론 기법을 이용한 인지 라디오 주파수 선택 방법 연구 (Study on Frequency Selection Method Using Case-Based Reasoning for Cognitive Radio)

  • 본 논문은 군 전술 무선 통신망에서의 가용 주파수 채널 확보를 위한 인지 라디오 엔진 플랫폼 구조 및 인지 라디오 무선기기를 위한 가용 주파수 채널 추론기법을 제안하였다. 현재의 군 전술 통신망은 동종 및 이종 군 무선기기 주파수의 효과적 운용을 위한 가용 주파수 확보 및 군 무선기기 간의 상호공존 방안에 대한 필요성이 빠르게 증가하고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문은 최적의 가용 주파수 채널확보 방안으로 동적 스펙트럼 접속(DSA, Dynamic Spectrum Access) 실현을 위한 인지 라디오 엔진 기술 기반의 가용채널 추론기법에 대해 소개하였다. 이를 위해 주사용자(PU, Primary User)의 채널 이용현황 모델링 및 채널 점유확률 계산을 통하여 인지 라디오 무선기기를 위한 사례 기반의 가용채널 추론기법을 제안하였으며, 성능분석 모의실험을 통하여 주사용자의 점유채널 정보 대비 인지 라디오 무전기의 가용채널 획득 정보 간의 충돌확률 변화율을 분석하였다.
