Chemical pesticides have been re used for a long time to protect crops from diseases, insects, and weeds ; ample and secure supply of foods in present days would not be possible without them. However, concerns on the risk of using chemical pesticides rising steadily in recent years forced discard many of them and seek an alternate, environment-friendly control strategies. Microbial pesticide is regarded as one of the most promising methods because if properly developed, it will be effective, cheap, and environment-safe. Currently, about 180 microbial pesticides are under development throughout the world and at least 20 of them including B.t. and antibiotics are registered in Korea. This paper discusses some of the successful examples, intriguing problems, and future prospects of microbial pesticides.

Perspective dynamical systems arise in machine vision problems, in which only perspective observation is available. This paper considers the state estimation problem for a rigid body moving in three dimensional spaces using the image data obtained by a CCD camera or some other means. Because the motion of the rigid body and the observed data are generally corrupted by noises, it is necessary to seek a state estimation method to reduce the influence of the noises. In this paper, by means of computer simulations for a simple example, we examine the sensitivity to the noises of the nonlinear observer developed in the recent paper ([1] R. Abdursul, H. Inaba and B. Ghosh, Nonlinear observers for perspective time-invariant linear systems, Automatica, vol. 40, Issue 3, pp. 481-490, 2004) and the effectiveness of the Extended Kalman Filter.

Hard Disk Drive (HDD) test system is the equipment for the final test of HDD product by iterative read/write/seek test. This paper proposes an expert system for the fault diagnosis of HDD test systems. The purposed expert system is composed with two cascade inference, fuzzy logic and conventional binary logic. The fuzzy logic determines the possibility of the system fault using the test history data, then, the binary logic inferences the fault location of the test system. The proposed expert system is tested in SAMSUNG HDD product line, KUMI, KOREA, and shows satisfactory results.

The purpose of this study was to identify children's different styles of anger-expression and the characteristics of each anger-expression style. The Q-methodology with a 32 Q-sample was used to investigate and analyze the subjective expression of childrens's anger experiences. The subjects were 22 children living in D city, and the data were collected by means of interviews. The analysis revealed six styles of anger-expression, a solution which accounted for 65.13% of the total variance. The six styles were labeled "Patience type", "Avoidance-conversion type", "Reaction-seek type", "Control type", "Repression type", and "Conversion-consideration type". It was recommended that intervention strategies for children's appropriate anger-expression mode should be based on these six anger-expression styles.

본 연구에서는 냉장고 압축기를 지지하고 있는 평판의 고유진동수를 제어하여 냉장고 전체에 전달되는 진동의 저감을 꾀하고자 한다. 평판의 과도한 진동의 원인을 분석하기 위해 먼저 실험 모드 해석을 수행하였다. 평판의 고유진동수를 효과적으로 제어하기 위해 평판의 고유진동수와 진동모드에 미치는 영향을 상용 구조 해석 프로그램인 ANSYS를 이용하여 검토하였다. 해석의 신뢰성은 먼저 수행한 실험 모드 해석 결과와의 비교를 통해 검증하였다. 이들 일련의 과정을 통해 냉장고 압축기를 지지하는 평판의 최적 형상 설계 방법 도출하였다.

This study was designed to assess the level of family function between cancer patient's families and normal families, and to seek better quality family-Mcentered nursing care. The subjects for this study were 95 ca patient's families who were selected from th university hospitals and 95 normal families who selected from 1 university hospital. The instrument used for this study was McMaster Family Assessment Device (FAD) developed by Epstein, Baldwin and Bishop (1983). The scale consisted of 53 items covering 7 areas: 'problem solving', 'communication', 'roles', 'affective responsiveness', 'affective involvement', 'behavior control', and 'general functioning'. As for data analyses, descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2-test$, t-test, ANOVA were adopted using SAS program. The result of this study was as follows: There there was no significant difference between cancer patient's family function and normal family function. Also there was no significant difference on cancer patient's family function with regard to family characteristics, disease's characteristics, and clinical stage of cancer.

Objective The purpose of this study is to investigate recent clinical studies on the effect of herbal medicine in flat warts in China, and to seek better methods to treat and study for flat warts in Korea. Methods The clinical studies from the CAJ (China Academic Journal) of CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure) by key words '扁平疣' in recent 5 years (From January 2011 to December 2015) were searched. Results 16 articles were selected from 122 clinical studies, and analyzed. The most commonly used herbs were Isatidis Radix (板藍根), Equiseti Hiemalis Herba (木賊), Cyperi Rhizoma (香附子), Carthami Flos (紅花), Glycyrrhizae Radix (甘草) etc., and the articles all showed effectiveness over the control group. Conclusion Based on analyzing the studies, herbal medicine has shown effective in flat wart. This study may be useful not only as clinical data, but also to determine better treatment going forward.

Cypermethrin is one of the pyrethroids, synthetic derivatives of naturally occurring pyrethrins. Cypermethrin has been developed as an insecticide, and is now in worldwise use for control of a wide range of insects, providing potential for human exposure. Our previous study suggested estrogenic activity of cypermethrin. A chemical with hormonal activity could adversely affect reproduction and development. (omitted)

Our purpose is to seek that the reachable set of the semilinear system $\frac{d}{dt}x(t){\;}={\;}Ax(t){\;}+{\;}f(t,x(t)){\;}+{\;}Bu(t)$ is equivalent to that of its corresponding to linear system (the case where f=0).Under the assumption that the system of generalized eigenspaces of A is complete, we will show that the reachable set corresponding to the linear system is independent of t in case A generates $C_0-semigroup$. An illustrative example for retarded system with time delay is given in the last section.
