전력시스템 안전도 향상을 위한 다기 UPFC의 최적 운전점 결정 (The Optimal Operating Points of Multiple UPFCs for Enhancing Power System Security Level)

  • This paper presents how to determine the optimal operating points of Unified Power Flow controllers (UPFC) the line flow control of which can enhance system security level. In order to analyze the effect of these devices on the power system, the decoupled model has been employed as a mathematical model of UPFC for power flow analysis. The security index that indicates the level of congestion of transmission line has been proposed and minimized by iterative method. The sensitivity of objective function for control variables of and UPFC has been derived, and it represents the change in the security index for a given set of changes in real power outputs of UPFC. The proposed algorithm with sensitivity analysis gives the optimal set of operating points of multiple UPECs that reduces the index or increases the security margin and Marquart method has been adopted as an optimization method because of stable convergence. The algorithm is verified by the 10-unit 39-bus New England system that includes multiple FACTS devices. The simulation results show that the power flow congestion can be relieved in normal state and the security margin can be guaranteed even in a fault condition by the cooperative operation of multiple UPECs.

단일 선로고장시 정적 안전도 향상을 위한 유연송전기기 운전 방안 (A Security-oriented Operation Scheme of FACTS Devices to Cope with A Single Line-faulted Contingency)

  • 본 논문에서는 상정사고 해석을 통해 결정된 가장 심각한 단일 선로고장에 대하여 부하차단이나 재급전을 하지 않고, 유연송전기기의 운전만으로 안전도를 향상시켜 이를 극복할 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다. 즉, 직렬, 병렬, 직병렬보상기기 등 유연송전기기의 각 종류별로 정적 안전도 여유를 최대화하고 안전도 지수를 최소화하는 방법을 개발하였고, 이를 통하여 각 유연송전기기의 최적 운전점을 결정하는 방법을 개발하였다. 여기서, 정적 안전도 지수는 선로 조류 및 모선 전압에 관한 안전도를 정량화하여 식으로 나타낸 것이다. 안전도 지수가 작아지면 안전도 여유는 커지는데, 본 논문에서는 안전도 지수를 반복계산법으로 최소화하였다. 본 논문에서는 제안한 방법은 IEEE 57모션개통에 적용하여 제안된 방법의 정당성을 수치적으로 입증하였다.

The necessity is getting apparent under Electricity Market environments, as operation of power system is exposed to more various operating conditions. For on-line dynamic security assessment, fast transient stability analysis tool is required for contingency selection. The TEF(Transient Energy Function) method is a good candidate for this purpose. The clustering of critical generators is crucial for the precise and fast calculation of energy margin. In this paper, we propose a new method for fast decision of mode of instability by using stability indices. Case study shows very promising results.

  • 본 논문에서는 조건 안정 증폭기 설계를 위한 안정도 여유 분석 과정을 소개하고, 분포형 DC 차단 회로와 임피던스 정합 회로의 기능을 동시에 갖는 용량성 결합 정합 회로(CCMC)에 대해 기존 연구 결과보다 간단화된 설계 방법을 제안하였다. 조건 안정 마이크로파 증폭기 설계에 있어, 안정도 여유 분석에 근거한 접근법은 정량적으로 분석된 안정도 여유도에 근거하여 최대 이득 정합 조건을 결정하는데 유용하게 사용된다. 이러한 설계 방법은 조건 안정 상태에서 정합점 결정 시 반복적인 시행 착오를 줄일 수 있는 장점이 있다. 또한, 논문에서 제안하는 CCMC 설계 기법은 정합 회로의 구조를 정형화시킴으로써 기존 방법에 비해 합성 변수가 적은 장점이 있다. 제안 방법의 검증을 위해 박막 공정으로 제작된 24 GHz조건 안정 증폭기는 대역 평탄도 1 dB, 소신호 이득 10 dB로 설계 값과 잘 부합하는 결과를 보였다.

  • It is an important issue to electric power system operations that it can reliably supply large-capacity power to consumption area as due to increasing power demand growth. For this purpose, The FACTS equipment based on Power IT technology with the existing mechanical compensators has been applied to power system. Therefore we suggest on this paper that a plan for coordination control of multiple power compensation equipment in order to increase the utilization of each facility and secure operation margin capacity. As the result of simulation, it is possible to cope actively with a suddenly changed power system. This helps greatly for the voltage stability and supply reliability in a suddenly changed power system.

  • This paper presents a power transfer capability calculation algorithm Considering Voltage Stability Margin. In this method, voltage stability margin constraints are incorporated into a power transfer capability formulation to guarantee adequate voltage security levels in interconnected Power System. The proposed method is applied to IEEE-24 Reliability Test Systems and the results shows the effectiveness of the method.

Key Recovery Attacks on HMAC with Reduced-Round AES

  • It is known that a single-key and a related-key attacks on AES-128 are possible for at most 7 and 8 rounds, respectively. The security of CMAC, a typical block-cipher-based MAC algorithm, has very high possibility of inheriting the security of the underlying block cipher. Since the attacks on the underlying block cipher can be applied directly to the first block of CMAC, the current security margin is not sufficient compared to what the designers of AES claimed. In this paper, we consider HMAC-DM-AES-128 as an alternative to CMAC-AES-128 and analyze its security for reduced rounds of AES-128. For 2-round AES-128, HMAC-DM-AES-128 requires the precomputation phase time complexity of $2^{97}$ AES, the online phase time complexity of $2^{98.68}$ AES and the data complexity of $2^{98}$ blocks. Our work is meaningful in the point that it is the first security analysis of MAC based on hash modes of AES.

  • The Available Transfer Capability (ATC) is defined as the measure of the transfer capability remaining in the physical transmission network for further commercial activity above already committed uses. The ATC determination s related with Total Transfer Capability (TTC) and two reliability margins-Transmission Reliability Capability (TRM) and Capacity Benefit Margin(CBM) The TRM is the component of ATC that accounts for uncertainties and safety margins. Also the TRM is the amount of transmission capability necessary to ensure that the interconnected network is secure under a reasonable range of uncertainties in system conditions. The CBM is the translation of generator capacity reserve margin determined by the Load Serving Entities. This paper describes a method for determining the TTC and TRM to calculate the ATC in the Bulk power system (HL II). TTC and TRM are calculated using Power Transfer Distribution Factor (PTDF). PTDF is implemented to find generation quantifies without violating system security and to identify the most limiting facilities in determining the network’s TTC. Reactive power is also considered to more accurate TTC calculation. TRM is calculated by alternative cases. CBM is calculated by LOLE. This paper compares ATC and TRM using suggested PTDF with using CPF. The method is illustrated using the IEEE 24 bus RTS (MRTS) in case study.

  • 전력산업구조 개편 시 변화된 전력계통 환경하에서 효율적인 계통운용 및 계획을 위해서는 계통의 수송능력(Power Transfer Capability)을 산정하는 작업이 필수적이다. 또한 송전망의 자유로운 접근(Open Access)과 같은 전력정책의 변화로 인하여 전력계통은 더욱더 고부하상태에서 운전될 가능성이 높아지게 되었다. 전력계통의 부하가 증가하면 전압안정도 여유가 감소하므로 전력계통은 전압붕괴와 같은 전압안정도 문제를 야기시킬 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 전력계통의 수송능력 산정문제에 대해 전압안정도여유 제약을 고려 할 수 있는 수송능력산정 알고리즘 개발에 연구의 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 전압안정도 여유제약식을 정식화한 다음 이를 수송능력 산정문제에 반영할 수 있는 방법을 제안하였다. 그리고 이를 시험계통에 적용하여 본 연구의 타당성을 검증하고 유응한 정보를 도출하였다.
